Sucker Punch vs. BlazeWave - Can't Stop The Beat

It was annoying enough for Willy when Gyuri was doing it, but now the blonde was talking weird, too. And he’d heard her speaking English before, too, so he knew she could. Weird team, these two, but whatever - it wasn’t stopping him from winning this match. Which, in his estimation, they were probably on a good track to do.

The Spinebuster laid Gyuri out, and for the first time all match, it seemed like she didn’t have anything to say about it. Willy had a statement to make, though - just not verbally. He stood up, grabbing Gyuri’s arm as he rose and roughly yanking her along with him, forcing her up to her feet along with him.

Theo had been focusing on Viper, trying to get some idea of what she’d just said to Gyuri, but the distinct lack of counting drew his attention - he doubted they could’ve beaten Gyuri this early on, she seemed tough, but that didn’t mean there was any harm in giving it a try. ”Hey! Dude! Go for the pin!”

”I got this!” Willy just rolled his eyes Theo’s way as he took a strong hold of Gyuri’s jacket. Twisting to the side, he planted his feet and hurled her hard across the ring, tossing her into the nearest neutral corner, aiming her back towards the pads. Seemed like a good place to start piling on the damage.

As Gyuri lay underneath Willy, she was panicking internally. She had tried to shove back at him while on the mat but he was just too damn heavy. This wasn't the sort of person she had ever practiced against before in the ring. Outside? That's what pipes and crowbars were for. She didn't have to go toe to toe with bigger people when she had a weapon. That wasn't an option here, and she was paying for it.

She might as well have been weightless with how easily he yanked her upright, wrenching her arm so painfully she thought for a moment he had popped her shoulder. She stumbled up into him, forced to lean against his frame, fighting for balance. This reliance on him to even stand up straight angered her to no end, especially since this guy was such a tool. She wanted to put her fist through his face so badly.

Her eyes followed Willy, powerless to stop him from setting up for something else. She had to find a way to break this momentum. She felt the pull from her jacket, ripping her backwards, heels dragging in protest until she was launched off the mat and sent sailing into the corner. Her form hit hard, head jolting back from whiplash, knees buckling under the impact. Arms hung up on the top rope, she slumped forward, suspended upright whether she had wanted to be or not.

Viper had warned her about wearing the jacket during the match. Handholds she had said. Don't give people more ways to grab her when her strength came from evasion. She had ignored the advice, even as her mentor followed it by removing her own jacket pre-match right in front of her as an example. She hated when Viper was right about stuff like this. While there was never really an "I told you so." Moment with the American, she could feel the judgement in her gaze all the same.

Gyuri tilted her head weakly, peering out from the slanted brim of her hat to look across at Willy. She had to be ready when this guy tried to charge her… because of course he was going to charge her.

Willy was totally going to charge the fuck out of her.

Though it probably didn’t seem this way at the moment, he didn’t get any real pleasure out of throwing around little girls like this, thinking himself more of a ladies’ man. Truth told, he’d gone along with this whole AFW thing because he’d expected to get some girls, get into those ‘hentai matches’ he kept seeing all over the internet. No, it wasn’t exactly the noble thing, but it was popular, it was hot, and it could make him some serious bank doing something he really wanted to do. Sleazy, but the whole thing was kind of sleazy. No shame on his end.

He hadn’t expected to come across a girl like Gyuri, though. If she came into this thinking that he was one of those scrawny little Tension boys with 0-30 records, she was about to learn just how wrong she was.

After launching her like a rapping, neon painted sack of potatoes, Willy took one step back, then another, ducked down and bounded forward at full speed. While Theo was the speed demon on the team, he could pick up some decent speed when he had good room to move, had good explosive power, and he used it to cover the distance in powerful strides. The second he was in range, he leaped up, reared his arm back, and swung it down, looking to slam her in the face with his forearm.

Willy had all the makings of a low paid bouncer. Big, loud, and predictable. How hard was this guy, really, outside the ring? He seemed the braggadocious type that was more back than bite but that might have been misleading die to how he presented himself. She wasn't one to judge really, dressing up and putting on fronts to be more intimidating was just as much her M.O. after all. That wouldn't stop her from exploiting it though.

When he came running, she was prepared, in theory. Ready to act, but given the nature of how she was pinned in, the how was going to be important. She knew she could move right away, duck to the side, but risk him correcting and running her down. The only safe way was the risky way, waiting until her overcommitted to act. A mistake here was going to get her laid out again.

She hides her time, the seconds feeling far long as he came charging at her. It wasn't until he jumped that she made her decision, cutting things too close for comfort as she lifted her arms off the ropes, using gravity to just drop herself towards the canvas. She hit the mat on her back, gripping the bottom ropes to keep her grounded as she threw a kick upwards, arching it up between Willy's legs as he passed over her, trying to crack his tailbone with a hard strike that would help propel him into the turnbuckles.

She would give the ropes a hard shove right after, trying to slide herself underneath him before being subject to his landing, trying to tuck into a roll and get some distance, clearly trying to make her way to Viper at this point.

Yeah, she dodged. Of course she dodged. Theo could see it coming from the sidelines, reading her as Willy telegraphed his moves. It was something they were both going to need work on - reading their opponents, judging when they had the right amount of damage for setups. Gyuri was getting worked over, but she was proving to be far tougher than anyone would guess based on her size.

Also, Theo would’ve been able to do the same in her position. If he could do it, she could do it.

Sure enough, he went high and she went low, sliding underneath and making him pay for it with a well-timed kick in the ass. He flopped forward, smacking his face into the turnbuckle, and that was where he stayed for the moment. Slumped, aching, leaning in the corner, giving her the opening to make it back to her own corner.

Or, at least, she could if she got past Theo.

He hadn’t just been watching all this, but preparing. He’d moved over to the side of the ring, grabbed the middle rope and ducked down, so that when she popped up from the roll, he’d have a surprising ready for her.

When the time was right, he pulled back on the ropes and leaped into the ring with open arms, attempting to take Gyuri down with a Slingshot Spear to her side.

Gyuri didn't roll for long, just enough to clear the facility of Willy's reach in case he had the wherewithal to try kicking back at her. At a glance, it looked like he wasn't going anywhere. Served him right. With a small snicker she dropped onto her back, kicking her legs up, rolling onto her shoulders before killing up to her feet in a single smooth motion, set to make her way to Viper…

Then Theo blindsided her, nearly tearing her in half with a spear from the apron. She hadn't seen him, hadn't been ready for the blow even remotely as both wrestlers hit the mat. She let out a cry of pain as she spilled onto the canvas on her side, eyes narrowed in pain. She reached out with an arm, trying to wrap it around the blond boys head and twist her body, trying to roll him off of her so she could start to make an escape.

The referee was quick to get on Theo’s case, and the crowd was even quicker, making their displeasure known for him blindsiding poor, innocent Gyuri. She didn’t care much for the attack, either, pushing him and trying to roll away, an effort that he did nothing to fight. His only aim was to stop her and buy time for Willy, so on that front? Mission accomplished.

He kept barreling and made his way under the bottom rope to the outside, landing on his feet and breaking into a run to get back to the right corner. He might be needed for a tag soon, and he wanted to be in position ASAP. ”Dude, get her!”

Willy snapped back to attention, spun about, and for once he was in the right frame of mind.

He made a mad leap for Gyuri’s, running her way and trying to come down on her back with a knee drop. Theo only gave his partner a 50/50 chance of making it in time to stop her from making the tag, but it was a worthwhile effort. Classic tag team tactics, cutting the ring in half, a good way to wear down the energetic rapper.

Besides, he didn’t like Viper and wanted to keep her out of the match, if at all possible. Something about that woman was just...off.

"가장 싫은 장소…" The Korean groaned as Theo made his daring escape, leaving her clutching her ribs in agony on the mat. She bet these two guys thought they were really cool with their stupid guitars and objectively attractive bodies. She had been playful at first mostly because she had assumed she could wipe the floor with either of them but they were fast proving her wrongly by being individually challenging. She hated this. Being challenged sucked. She just wanted to beat people up and get money. Why was this so hard? Aaargh!

Forcing herself to her knees on one palm, she turned to look back to Willy as Theo gave the order. He seemed ready to make good with a head of steam, likely wanting to tie her up in knots like a pretzel after earlier. She was fine without that, starting to scramble along the canvas on all fours away from him.

"못쓰게 만들다!" She could hear him coming up behind her, not like he didn't make enough noise trouncing around like a lingering oaf already. She decided to cut her losses and face him, rolling over onto her back just as he took to the air. Slapping her palm to the mat and kicking off the ground she slide back, curling her knees to her chest so Willy's knee drop landed just short of her and came crashing down on the ring.

She threw her legs back down, trying to bring her heels down across his shoulders and hook her sneakers behind his neck. Arching her arms back to give herself leverage, she gave a hard pull, twisting her body to try and flip him face first into the mat with a grounded spike hurricanrana into the canvas.

Willy, on the other hand, didn’t care much about why Viper was staying out of this. Maybe she and Gyuri were having some kind of weird lovers thing? Mad at her for some argument they had? She seemed a little old for the punk, had about a decade on her. Which didn’t mean they weren’t an item, he supposed. She could’ve been a cougar. Or whatever a lesbian cougar was called. Probably something stupid.

Whatever, he didn’t care, it didn’t matter. Viper could have a nice, good view of her girl getting walloped. If that was what she wanted, Willy was happy to provide.

If only she hadn’t moved out of the way.

How she managed to avoid it, he didn’t know, but she did, getting out of the way just in time to save herself from the blow. He landed on his knee, hard, not the most pleasant sensation, but the situation only worsened a moment later. Her legs came up around his head, he was jerked about, and slammed right to top of his skull, leaving him laid out and dazed.

From the corner, Theo groaned and leaned over, extending his hand towards Willy as his partner started to get his senses back. They were on the edge, now - Viper was fresh, and if she came in while Willy was still loopy, she’d have no problem exploiting that, no matter what her abilities were. If they could just switch places again… ”Come on, this way!”

She knew what to do. Escape to Viper and make the tag. She wasn't sure that the blond would let herself be tagged in though. Her mentor was pretty serious when it came to training, it's not of the reasons Gyuri had picked it up as fast as she had. This almost felt like another one of those moments when she looked over to her partner with desperation in her eyes.there was a likelihood that Viper just wouldn't let herself be tagged in… she really hated this vague stuff and wish she would just tell her what the plan had been so she could have wrestled smarter… oh, maybe that was the plan?

Screw it. Pushing herself up onto her hands and knees, she looked between her three options. Go for the possible tag, or assault either of the other men. With Willy down and an axe to grind her mind had been made up pretty quickly. On all fours she moved to the larger man larger man, giving him a hard shove onto his back with a bit of effort. She threw her legs over him, straddling his waist to put herself in a better position to lay on the punishment.

"Here is your English." She hissed with narrowed eyes, her speech in this foreign tongue less than flowing but serviceable, it was clear why she didn't speak it all the time. While she wasn't the most technical or accomplished strikers, she knew how to throw a punch. This was evident by blow after blow she rained down at the other man, taking full advantage of his dazed stupor to savagely ground and pound him.

She didn't have much to draw on between the two of them besides him being an asshole, so she instead focused on her other frustrations in life. It was far easier to batter someone when they ceased to be a person and instead became the collection of balled up hatred and failure. Her sessions with a punching bag were pretty similar to this.
