Alaina vs. Echo: Rookie takes on an Amazon

Alaina watched Echo topple over the ropes, landing hard on the outside. She looked on, leaning over the top rope as the referee started a ten count!

"ONE!"

Alaina wasn't going to let this end in a count out, but she also wanted to see how well Echo could handle herself in any environment. Alaina dropped down, rolling underneath the rope and resetting the count out count. Alaina moved to grab hold of Echo and twisted her torso, trying to Irish whip the young woman as hard as she could towards the announce table nearby!

Ow...Ow...ow...Did anyone get the number of that truck that hit her? Oh right...it was Alaina's clothesline...and then the floor...

OW.

If there was one thing Echo really, really, really needed, it was a minute, a moment, a goddamn second where something wasn't throwing her, lifting her, or smashing into her to let her get her bearings and figure out what the hell to do to fight this woman.

"TWO!" the ref girl yelled, continuing the count-out count, and Echo felt a strong hand grab her arm and start pulling her back up. Damn it, she didn't literally mean a second!

"Get-Get awa-AH!" Echo tried to protest, before the young greek found herself being hurled with another powerful Irish Whip, her body not strong enough to resist the powerful Amazon, sent careening towards the announcers table...and hitting the thing hard enough that her momentum caused her to not stop, but actually roll over the top of the table to the other side, smacking into the long time female color commentator, and sending both women crashing to the floor in a heap!

"THREE!"

That got the exact result Alaina had hoped for. The amazon made her way around the table and approached the rookie once more, this time bending down to grab hold of her and deadlift her up, scooping her up over her shoulder and spinning to face the table. Alaina grunted as she tossed Echo down right on top of the table! Alaina began to climb up onto the table herself, looming over Echo...

"FOUR!"

"FIVE!"

Echo laid in a heap, on top of one of the ringside commentary members, a padded chair, papers, and a tv monitor around her, having been bowled over by her body thrown across them. She was getting a real taste now, of just what kind of power other wrestlers really could have! There was no way she could match that kind of strength!

She wouldn't be allowed any time to rest though it seemed, as she was soon lifted out of the debris and dropped right onto the empty table, groaning and looking up in fear as Alaina stood there above her, clearly planning something devious. Was she planning on putting her through the table!? Was this woman crazy or something!?

Inspiration however, suddenly struck, as she saw Alina's foot shift a little, right near a hole in the table, where one of the tv monitors had been. In a flash, she grabbed Alaina's leg with both arms, and tugged it over, just enough to send her foot into the hole where the monitor had been!

In addition to tripping up and trapping the Amazon, the sudden heavy weight shift would cause the announce table to fall forward, the smaller girl able to make a relatively safe landing by clinging onto the table as it fell and rolling onto the floor, while the trapped Amazon would take the brunt of the landing in a bad position.

A little dazed but mostly unfazed, the pink haired greek girl would scramble up to her feet and roll under the ropes, just as the referee reached a count of "SIX!" with Alaina still on the floor, the rookie hoping, praying to Athena above, that she could net a count out win!

Alaina was about to bend down to grab Echo when disaster struck! She fell and tumbled as the table itself came down with Alaina landing hard on her shoulder! She groaned and rolled to her side, her left shoulder and left ankle in a good deal of pain.

"SEVEN!"

The contour was continuing and Alaina was hobbled, pulling her ankle free and rubbing it as she slowly began to rise to her feet looking at Echo in the ring.

"EIGHT!"

The count was too close for comfort, leaving Alaina to get up and bolt for the ring as quickly as she could hobble. She didn't have time to run around so she made a rush straight at the ring trying to slide in underneath the bottom rope, bracing herself as she knew Echo would be ready to pounce on her as soon as she entered!

Echo's hope's for a quick victory were dashed, as the former champion recovered from her fall and slid back into the ring before the ring put count could be completed.

Phooey.

Still, powerful as the Amazon was, (and as terrifying as her strength was) she was not invulnerable, and Echo noticed the slight limp in her left foot as she raced to the ring.

"I got you now!" The girl cried, racing towards her opponent as she got in the ring, and aiming to stomp on her left ankle. Sure, perhaps not the most sporting behavior, but a weakness was a weakness, and with how overpowering Alaina was, she needed any advantage she could get!

Alaina slid in the ring and began to work her way to her feet when Echo lashed out at her! "Got me? I highly doubt.....AAARRRRGGHHHH!" Alaina groaned as the boot of Echo smashed her sore ankle sending Alaina falling forward onto her stomach! Her ankle was throbbing now and she reached down to cradle it as she drew her left leg into her chest. Alaina was down and as much as she wanted to get up twisting her ankle on that table coupled with Echo smashing it just meant that she was going to be down on the mat for a time, giving Echo plenty of time to work away at the bigger amazon!

Despite being barefoot, Echo managed to stomp hard enough to get a reaction out of the former Entropy champion and taking the bigger woman down onto her front. Sure, maybe it was a cheap shot, (and there were some boos starting to come from the audience to make it clear that they felt it was) but given Echo had just been tossed around like a ragdoll, she would be a fool to not take whatever advantage she could, as her relatives would surely have told her had they been there.

Grabbing Alaina's leg, she would force the hurting ankle onto the nearby bottom rope, before grabbing the top rope and pressing her foot onto the middle rope, using the ropes to get extra height as she jumped upwards, trying to stomp down from extra high back onto the same ankle!

Alaina was in a lot pf pain, feeling it pulse through her lower leg non stop. Her foot was draped on the bottom rope and before Alaina could react she saw Echo bouncing up and crashing down on her ankle again! "AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Alaina howled, her scream heard clearly throughout the arena as it echoed about. She was clearly hurting and that ankle had been smashed yet again by a flying Echo! Alaina reached down to grab the ankle, gritting her teeth. "You little pest.....ngghh....." She muttered, her frustration starting to show.

"Sorry!" Echo replied hastily. "But I can't lose this match!" she yelled, and for what it was worth, she meant it. Using a somewhat cheap tactic like trapping her leg on the announcers table, then targeting that leg, wasn't exactly the way she had wanted to win this.

But any advantage she could get was one she couldn't ignore, and so the greek girl ran towards the ropes, bouncing off of them and rebounding for momentum, running back towards Alaina before jumping up high, bending a leg to drop her knee across Alaina's chest while she was down, then quickly trying to hook her leg for a pin attempt!
