Gaining Momentum - Round 2 - Mako 'The Shark' Adachi vs. Cicilia 'The Juggernaut' De'Reignhardt

*BAM!*

Cicilia's fist crashed into Mako's guts, causing the must revolting sound to escape from the shark's lips as she nearly vomited up all over the ring floor. Even the German cringed from the noise of the complete decompression of the other woman's lungs, but that expression of disgust quickly shifted to one of contentment as she realized just how much damage her target had taken... Mako practically hung on her fist as it hooked into her belly, her toes barely touching the ground. Despite Mako doing her best to keep Cicilia on the defensive, the Juggernaut was starting to over-take the shark regardless! The difference between them is that when Mako went purely on offense to push the German on defense, she couldn't take the few counter-hits Cicllia had to offer! When the boxer came out from behind her wall, she was able to deliver hits that put Mako DOWN where when Mako landed her hits... They stung more than really hurt. Her speed meant nothing if she didn't have the strength or the durability to go toe-to-toe with someone who had both!

Mako stumbled off of the German's fist as Cicilia held it there, watching as her opponent covered her head feebly in an effort to defend herself. HA! what a joke! She called THAT a defense!? She was leaving her entire lower body open to be mauled! From the looks of her, even Mako didn't seem aware of what she was doing. The monstrous blow Cicilia delivered seemed to knock some of that arrogance right out of her, the sense, the comprehension of a strong defense...

Oh boy... this wasn't something Cicilia was going to pass up!

Maybe it'd be quicker to knock someone out with a well-placed concussion but Cicilia was far more privy to attacking whatever spot was defended least. So much easier to dominate in the path of least resistance! The Juggernaut lunged at the retreating shark, hurling her cannon-ball fists into Mako's ribs once per fist before arching one up in a MASSIVE uppercut, intending to burrow through her opponent's guts and rip out the other side!

"What's wrong...?" Cicilia asked, throwing Mako's words back at her. "Having trouble with my 'all?'"

Mako was not in a good position at the moment. Cicilia was battering her ribs into dust, and her breathing rate was all over the place since anytime she tried to get air it was knocked right out of her. It was NOT a fun experience. Then, as one particularly hard fist hit her abs, Mako thought she was going to be swept off her feet!

Then, all of a sudden, it got dark. The weird thing, though, was that it wasn't pitch black. That was odd because Mako had been knocked out before, and she knew when it happened, everything goes pitch black. It took a few seconds before she realized everything got slightly darker because she had in fact been swept off her feet and landed on her face and knees. Her boots had slid backwards as she leaned forward, causing the shark to go down kind of...no...she went down very embarrassingly.

"Fuck...boots..." Mako thought to herself as she blamed this on her footwear. Normally she want barefoot, after all, so this was some sort of karma for changing it up! Then the shark started hearing Cicilia's voice from above her as the ref started a count for her to stand up. Now the juggernaut was stealing her lines! That made the shark pretty peeved, but at the same time, she got a laugh out of it.

"Heh...Ok Cicil...you got me...your 'all' is pretty good..." she laughed referring to Cici's taunt. "But it's not really 'trouble' that I'm having...it's more liiiiike...fun!" Mako would say as she pushed herself back up on her feet. It roughly took until the count of three or maybe four, but when she was up the shark she looked tougher than ever. A big grin on her face, primal-hungry eyes, and an almost visual aura around her that radiated fighting spirit. This time, Mako was going to fight like hell, and make Cicilia go down!

Cicilia smirked as Mako fell to her knees, then buckled over herself after that colossal blow slammed into her belly, leaving the fish gasping for breath on the floor. Well... That was easier than she thought it'd be for someone who actually specializes in the sport. The first woman she could understand given that all she brought to the bought was her size. Yeah, she was strong but she had NO idea what she was doing. This girl though... She threw a mean punch but she couldn't TAKE one. It was like punching through a sheet of paper held in place by clothes-pins. She buckled after a few hits, went down after a couple more... It just made the whole bout a game of weathering out her blows long enough to deliver one of her own.

Perhaps it was arrogance or over-confidence but the German was surprised that Mako could get back up so quickly AAAAAAND with that shit-eating grin on her face! It looked like Cicilia had just given her the birthday present she's always wanted and then rammed her in the gut with it! The boxer scoffed at her response, that she was having FUN getting the shit beaten out of her but she smiled right back, pleased that the shark retained such a... friendly behavior. Not many people could smile while they were throwing up their lungs!

"Heh... Glad you're having fun!" She remarked genuinely, raising her fists back up in her guard! "I'm having a good time myself!" With all that nice stuff out of the way, though, it was time to get back to the fighting! Mako might've not been able to stay on her feet after a hit from Cici but she could damn well get up right away! That was respectable at least! Time to put her back down again! Cicilia lashed out with a straight to Mako's jaw, a classic opener to any new exchange... also a classic ender as well.

Mako was up on her feet soon enough. Despite taking the punishing blows to the gut, the shark wasn't going to stay down long. The only reason she went down was because she lost her footing. And the only reason that had even happened was because of these god damned boots she was wearing.

"Good to hear, Jugs! But your all still isn't going to save you tonight!" Mako declared as both women were ready to resume. "I'd say you'll be sleeping with the fishes...buuuuut I usually use that for a different situation~" the ravenous shark said with a wink that blatantly revealed the woman's innuendo.

So as Cicilia came back at her with a straight punch, Mako knew she had to start avoiding these punches. She'd begin by cocking her arm back before the woman closed in. So, the shark would dodge at the last second as Cici's punch almost grazed the side of her right cheek. At the same time, she'd also throw a punch of her own at the german woman's face. If successful, her right fist would land straight into the Juggernaut's pretty face.

"Wanna bet, fish-bait?" Cicilia returned. "I'll crush you." Ah, her favorite phrase... Well, nobody ever claimed she had an extensive dictionary of banter. She did, however, try to ignore the obvious innuendos for the sake of her good mood. On some things, Cici could be the most laid-back person in the world. Videogames... Manga... stuff like that on her nerdy side, she would talk for hours about but when it came to her sex life and who she slept with... that was the stuff she took REAL seriously. Not only was it because it was a serious topic generally speaking but the girl she was in love with... she didn't even want to THINK about betraying her! When she thought of Sayumi, she thought of a girl far too pure, someone she was so lucky to come home and see every day... The mere notion of Cici getting into bed with ANYONE else... that would piss her off...

When the two went at it again, it seemed that Mako's suborn streak finally broke as she started using different tactics to try and land blows. She began slipping around the Juggernaut's heavy, skull-shaking punches like the eel she truly was, shifting her body JUST enough to move out of the way and stay in close. It looked like this was going to be a challenge after all... Why? Because Mako's gloved fist SLAMMED right in the center of Cicilia's "pretty face", a cross-counter that only connected on one end!

"Guh..." She growled, stunned for only half a second before her fists came swinging yet again, this time a lunge towards the sharky-shark with an hook aiming to catch her right in the mouth! Appropriate, she knew, but that wasn't the only attack she had in store! A swift uppercut aimed at the girl's jaw shot UP under her chin, hoping to send her FLYING back with the sheer brutal force of it!

That punch Mako landed though... That one actually kind of hurt... and the pain lingered....

Mako was pretty oblivious to how seriously Cicilia had taken her little sexual remark. Of course she had no clue about how close she was with Sayumi, so the shark kinda deserved a pass on that one. However, she was fully aware of Cici's next attacks. Shortly after she had landed her own monster punch that left the Juggernaut hurting, the German woman was coming at her with a lunging strike. Mako wasn't defenseless, though, and she'd lift her left arm up to catch Cici's right hook. The impact of their arms colliding hurt more than the shark thought it would, but it also gave her an opening as their bodies were partially stuck in a make shift clinch up.

While the two were in this "semi clinch up", Mako would use her right arm to throw as many punches as she could up at the left side of Cicilia's body. Each of these uppercuts focused on how many she could land rather than the strength behind them, so they weren't at full power by any means. However, Mako was eager to land as many as she could before the official broke them up.

"Take this, and this, and this!!!" the shark would say as she attempted to land each of these rapid blows.

Cicilia's attack on Mako was swiftly deflected by the shark, her glove moving to intercept it and ultimately shove it WIDE of it's target! This left the German open, much to her annoyance for a much unwanted hug from her opponent! Clinches... the worst thing to happen to boxing was CLINCHES! Cicilia could never seem to pull them off herself, and her opponents always seemed more than happy to stick themselves to her like they were covered in fly-paper! Their bodies pressed heavily together in this annoying-as-hell hug but Mako didn't embrace her just because she LIKED her! No, that wasn't what hugs were made out of in Boxing!

"GGH..." Cicilia coughed as Mako's fists HAMMERED into her exposed side, over and over and over again like a jack-hammer! With her arm out wide and entrapped my the shark's, the Juggernaut couldn't even raise a hand to defend herself against these blows! She was forced to take them... Until the ref wedged her arms between them, pulling the two apart! In the art of boxing, Clinches were never allowed to last more than a few seconds.

"Unh..." The German growled as she stumbled back, an arm falling towards her wounded side... Bruises and welts ran up her ribs, her bones sore after the brutal shark-attack Mako had so kindly given her... It would take much more to take her down but this... it might've slowed her attack just a bit.

"Don't think you're winning..." Cicilia growled, raising her gloves yet again, holding fast at her current position. As it was, the ropes were only a short distance behind her and Mako seemed to have regained a lot of her energy. Now would be the time to press an advance, to CRUSH them between the anvil of the turnbuckle and the hammer of her fist but with someone as slippery as this girl... that was next to impossible... The best thing she could do is try to hold her ground and make Mako grind herself to dust against Cicilia in an attempt to break her... Damn Outboxers...

The shark really did a number on the German woman before being broken up by the ref. Enough that she wondered if Cici had a problem with grapples and clinches. So after battering her opponent some more, leaving some major bruising and welts, Mako just chuckled loudly as she heard Cicilia growl at her. The woman looked pretty roughed up sure, but so did the shark. She had some major bruising on her, as well. Some on her arms and face, a lot on her abs. Still, Mako did in fact believe she was winning.

"Heh...do I look like some cocky idiot to you? Why would I think that...when I KNOW that I'm winning!?" the shark taunted back before punching her gloves together. "Don't worry, though. You're looking pretty good even when you're losing. Maybe you can even catch up a little~" the woman said before throwing some more punches at the Juggernaut.

Left. Right. Left. Left. Right...Left! Every one of her punches aimed for Cicilia's face as she continued her relentless attack. "You're going down hard, tonight!"

"Yeah, you DO look like a cocky idiot." Cicilia growled in response to Mako's jab. What was even worse was that the girl was apparently trying to FLIRT with her in the middle of their fight! FLIRT! WITH HER! The German was never the type to take such things well, always susceptible to the effects of such disgustingly honeyed words. What effects might those be, one might wonder? What else than the ignition of the temper she was known for? The fact any girl could think they could talk to her this way... With so little respect for her and her beautiful Sayumi... It ground her gears like nothing else... That was one line she never wanted crossed, suggested of crossing or even implied! Her heart and body would only ever belong to ONE person and anyone even rattling those chains... even a little bit... even playfully... they would suffer for it.

Mako decided to go on the offensive, hammering left, then right then back again, almost as if she thought Cicilia was some kind of stupid amateur! Predictability was the best way for a slugger to keep up with an outboxer after all! If she could predict her opponent's movements, then she could shift there and meet her before she could be outflanked! Mako seemed not to try to outmaneuver her though, as her style and early strategy would suggest... She seemed to want a head-to-head brawl! Whatever... her funeral...

Mako's first couple hits got through with only minor resistance, cracks to the jaw that hurt, but did little more than add fuel to the flames. Her head tilted every so slightly with each punch, but they did not stun her... Cicilia had a jaw of iron and a body of steel. Let her try and bring her down with that pathetic power... She'd break her knuckles first. The third punch was deflected by a raised arm intercepting her punch, her tense, strong arm muffling the power of her strike. Again, the 4th blow was deflected by another raised arm... and it simply kept going like that... Mako's lack of diverse blows made it easy for the Juggernaut to deflect and absorb punches by falling back on a defensive rhythm. A dangerous tactic, especially if Mako decided to suddenly change up her strategy before Cicilia decided to go on the offense...

The Juggernaut would push forward through one of those blows, a powerful left hook connecting with Cicilia's cheek as she threw a blistering hook of her own aimed SQUARELY at Mako's temple! Cicilia gritted her teeth, her neck muscles straining as the shark's fist jerked her head to the side... but she was determined to regain the ground she lost!

...Even at her own expense.

"Ouch! That one stung, jugs! If only your punches hurt as much as all your barking~" Mako taunted back after Cicilia said that she did look like a cocky idiot. Something seemed to be under the german boxer's skin, though. "Was it the firting?" the shark thought to herself, silently. "Nnnnnnaaaaaahhh! Who could be that uptight?" she thought despite that being the actual reason for Cici's sudden anger. After all they weren't even serious flirts. They were more like sexual taunts Mako said to throw people off their game. Sure Cici was cute, but at this point her shark was more interested in their fight then being in her bed tonight. That was a pretty rare thing for her, but it was the truth.

So then, as Mako threw punches at her opponent that Cicilia believed to be amateur, the German woman should have realized that she was an amateur. Completely so to be honest. While the shark had been in kickboxing and MMA matches before, this was her first boxing one. It wasn't easy to rely on her punches alone. Especially not when she'd been training for wrestling matches instead for about...what was it two years?

But Mako was far from inept at boxing. She understood the rules and basics, plus she could adapt fairly well to it. The shark's only true issue was experience. She didn't know what the endgame would be, and she couldn't plan out her attacks too far in advance. Mako could only punches, dodge, and defend current attacks, which meant she couldn't really plan or strategize like the Juggernaut. So Cicilia could easily predict her moves, where as the shark could never do the same in this match type. Wrestling, kickboxing, MMA, or even street fighting, sure. Boxing, uh no. She just wasn't that used to only throwing punches in a fight.

So it wasn't much of a surprise when the woman started to block Mako's punches. She honestly expected this to happen sooner. Cici was catching onto her limited supply of attacks and soon she landed one of her own right when Mako's collided with her cheek. The blow was jarring, but despite that the shark stayed standing and kept going. Her head went to the side a bit as Cici's glove smacked her temple, but she retaliated with a another punch with her right.

As her left arm pulled back Mako threw a powerful punch straight to Cicilia's chest. Her body pivoting and ducking somewhat lower as her right fist shot straight for the center of the woman's upper chest. The shark wasn't aiming their as another taunt, but Cici might take it that way considering the spot was right between her breasts.
