Strategy: Satana likes to use high power yet flashy moves, constantly trying to up the excitement of a match. She has a good eye for strategy, spending the first half of the match finding weaknesses in her opponents and then trying to finish them off in an exciting climax. Her main defense is through counters using technique, and brute strength. Despite her size, she is capable of doing limited aerial attacks, usually to the surprise of her opponents.

The Devil’s Due- A top rope brain buster, Satana set her opponent on top of a ring corner. She will then lift them into the air, before smashing their heads hard into the ground.

The Devil’s Hand- an Iron claw, Satana grips her opponents head and squeezes down on it, using her thumb and pinky for most of the pressure.

Personality:

When Satana is in the Ring, she is bold, confident, and even somewhat regal. She will act as if she owns the ring, like she has already won, or that her opponent can do little to stop her. Despite her tendencies and costume theme, she likes playing a Face, usually looking to “put bullies in their place.” Though she doesn’t care to, her ability to play a Heel is extremely convincing.

Outside the ring, Josephine acts fairly normal. Wearing her mask all the time, even when out in public, she interacts with her neighbors regularly. She tends to shop around an area of town close to her home, as people have grown used to her and her mask; making it less difficult to purchase things without a misunderstanding occurring. She often indulges in her hobbies, which include gardening, cooking, working out, and even sewing.

Past/History:

Josephine was pretty much born into wrestling. Her father was a high profile Mexican Luchador, going by the title “Lighting Diablo” who used his quick reflexes and devastating aerial combos to devastate his larger opponents, and her mother was a 6’ foot American powerhouse, known throughout the wrestling federation for her devastating gorilla press. Josephine was introduced to the world of wrestling through them, often watching one of her parents matches while the other babysat her backstage. She enjoyed the thrill of it and thought of her parents almost like they were superheroes. To her, wrestling was pretty much a way of life.

Unfortunately, due to her parents work, they had to move frequently, with Josephine switching schools often. While she had an okay time making friends, it was hard to keep in touch when she was always moving. As she grew older, she had a harder time making friends, and soon became a target for bullies. Growing up, her parents quickly realized she took after her mother’s side of the family, growing taller than any of the other kids in her class. Josephine would often get picked on due to her height, causing her to become self-conscious. The bullies in each school gave her nicknames to tease her, the one coming up the most frequently was “Giganta”

She got to the point where she didn’t want to go to school because of how often she was picked on. Her parents sat her down and had a heart to heart conversation, her mother dealing with a similar situation when she grew up. After the long talk, Josephine would take her mothers advice, ignoring the bullies and standing up for herself. While she would never hurt her antagonizes, she burned of her aggression by working out with her parents.

Eventually, after constantly transferring to different schools, she finally graduated and got her high school diploma. Right out of the gate she knew that she wanted to be just like her parents and enter the world of wrestling. She had grown exponentially, even growing taller than her mother, and she had watched their matches since a kid, learning the basics and understanding the fundamentals. In a way, she had two of the best coaches she could ask for.

In preparation for her career choice, her parents put her on a strict workout regimen that was similar to their own. She kept on it for months, packing on muscle and learning how to properly use throws, counter, and take hits from her parents. Her mother taught her how to best use her new muscles, while her father taught her how to use momentum and speed to take down opponents.
After almost a year of training, Josephine finally earned a chance to enter a real match against a pro opponent. Her costume was crude, with only a Halloween devils mask and red tank top, she took the name “Satana Giganta” using the name she once despised as a badge of pride. It was a long exhausting match, filled with high risk attacks and surprising aerial attacks, but Satana was able to barely win in her debut.

She would later go on to join the company her parents worked for, the three of them becoming a family team. Josephine would begin to follow her father’s example and wear her mask all the time while going by her ring name. She continued to work with her parents for a few more years, adjusting her style and technique while earning a few fans along the way. Eventually, she created her brand-new costume and mask, one that she felt fit her character well.

Eventually, she would begin to search for other wrestling companies as a way to branch out. She loved her parents, but she knew if she stayed with them she would never become her own thing, always clumped up with her parents. After dozens of companies and what seemed like endless searching, Satana came across AFW.

While she was hesitant at first to join a company so far away from home, but after some consideration applied for it, deciding this was exactly the kind of place she needed. One where she could build herself up and become her own legend.

Now she has come to put AFW’s bullies in their place and rise amongst the ranks as a true demon of wrestling.

Josephine designed her costume herself, mixing the power house design of her Mothers costume with the Diablo theme of her fathers.

She can be awkward around fans, especially in public.

She is still a little self-conscious about her height, but she is much better about it then when she was younger.

She loves drawing, usually coming up with new costume designs, or doodling past opponents or people she knows.

She doesn’t like coffee. At all. In fact, she hates bitter food in general.
