Brave Yuko vs. Sonic Knight - Heroes of Light and Dark

There were a variety of ways in which her attempt to breach Sonic Knight’s guard may have turned around on the heroine. Given the villain’s impressive strength, it would be easy to see herself become the victim of a fierce dragon screw. Or, with her reflexes, may have been able to sidestep the foot to her thigh, allowing the brave hero to drift to her doom. Everything was based upon chance in Yuko’s moveset, and she only prayed her luck was high enough to move the match in her favor.

It appeared as though the villain was still fairly shaken from her shiranui, however, as the Ring Dream veteran managed to land her kick with flawless results. Her side to touched the canvas as she quickly spun around the face the recoiling villain, managing to bring herself to one knee. Sonic certainly didn’t appear to have been able to simply brush the attack off. For all the monster’s investment in her strength and technique, her defense was rudimentary at best. “Plenty more where that came from, ne'er-do-well!”

Yuko kicked off from her feet towards the recovering beast, launching herself up two feet as lunged forward. She’d hold her arm out, seemingly going for a quick clothesline before retracting her arm and attempting to slip around the dark knight’s side. If her feint had worked, she would turn and bounce off the ropes, headed straight back at her adversary before kicking out her legs with a dropkick to the face!

As her auto-recovery started kicking in, Sonic Knight kept her focus on the heroine before her, preparing herself for anything that she would throw at her. Seeing Yuko charging at her, seemingly looking to land a clothesline, Sonic Knight braced herself as she planned to duck under the heroine's extended arm. But, once again she was fooled as the clothesline was merely a feint as Yuki ran past her, going over to the ropes, rebounding from them.

Sonic Knight turned around, keeping the nimble fighter in her view, but as she pivoted back to face Yuko, she saw a pair of boots flying at the direction of her face. Eyes widening, the villainous knight quickly brought her arms up, shielding her face from the incoming assault!

"Hrghhh!!"

Still, her arms weren't able to completely protect her from the dropkick as the sheer force of Yuko's attack managed to send her backwards, falling back first into the mat. It seemed that Yuko had buffed herself up beforehand, allowing her to deliver the attack right after performing the feint.

Arms feeling sore, Sonic Knight would muster her strength to get back up, performing a fluid kip up to get herself back on her feet. But she would not be able to defend herself momentarily, leaving herself vulnerable against Yuko's next attack!

Perfection! A truer shot was never loosed!

The dark heroine had done well to defend against Brave Yuko’s assault. The woman's defense was certainly higher than she'd expected of someone her size and build. There was no keeping this one down with basic attacks, evidently, as she merely absorbed one strike after another only to keep returning into the fray. And it seemed as though she was looking to do just that again, recovering from the dropkick in record time.

Sonic Knight was quickly proving herself to be quite the opponent. Cunning, fast, and eerily strong. Her brow furrowed, but the brave hero was not deterred. There was surely a way for this monster to be felled. The only question was finding her weakness. Yuko’s mind raced as she attempted to think of a way to bring the beast down, and a way to do it quickly! She pressed her hands to the canvas, ready to pop back up to her feet, with a slight leer on her face.

Yuko reeled her legs back and threw them forward, kipping back up onto two feet. Raising both her hands into the air, she’d fall forward and press her hands into the canvas, holding herself upside down in a handstand position. Keeping the momentum going, she’d swing her legs down, sending the back of her heels straight onto the top of Sonic Knight’s exposed head with a cartwheel kick.

Still reeling from the dropkick launched by her adversary, Sonic Knight had her defense momentarily down, which the heroine was so quick to capitalize as she immediately got back up, first getting herself in a handstand position. Before the villainous knight could launch any sort of attack on her opponent, Yuko launched her own brand of attack as she sent down her heels onto the top of Sonic Knight's head with a cartwheel kick!

"Ghuhh!!" The kick managed to rattle the dark heroine, and she was forced onto her knees thanks to this. Disoriented by the strike on her skull, Sonic Knight found herself unable to get herself back up on her feet, thus putting herself in a more vulnerable position before her justice-loving adversary. "Tskhh!!" Clicking her tongue in irritation, Sonic Knight brought both her arms up, crossing them in front of her to shield herself, hoping that the erected barrier would be able to lessen the blow that would came with Brave Yuko's next attack.

The instant her back met the canvas, Yuko coiled ber body, rolling backward and back onto her feet, bringing herself upright in one smooth motion. She rose back up to two feet, clenching her fists at the sight of Sonic Knight still managing to take the heroine’s assault in stride. Such a powerful enemy. Did her resistance have no end? Her brows furrowed as her adversary put her arms up in a rudimentary guard. She wouldn't go down easily, but the Ring Dream veteran remain undeterred. She would fell this beast yet! “High endurance...but lower in defense! I see fault in your guard, ravager!”

She was able to bring the monster down to her knees, limiting her mobility. With remarkably quick thinking thanks to her superior intelligence stat, Yuko was able to come up with a strategy to exploit the dark heroine’s position. She charged the dark knight with a clenched fist raised high, throwing forward a lariat...that missed? The punch would sail over the woman’s head as Yuko’s feet continued to move.

“Spell->Deception!”

But that was not all! Twisting her back to the face the opposite set of ropes, Yuko would bounce off the rungs and shoot straight back at the hopefully still kneeling knight. Leaping up, she would kick her legs out while wrapping her one arm underneath the dark hero’s chin and another around the back of her neck, locking them together as she shot forward. “Skill->Bulldog!” She yelled out, attempting to ram the monster’s face into the canvas with a resounding thud.

Sonic Knight already got her barrier erected, and she was prepared to take whatever her adversary would throw at her. But, it turned out that Brave Yuko was a lot cleverer than she expected as she deliberately missed her lariat, and she rushed over to the ropes, giving herself a boost of speed from them as she rebounded back to her, this time with another attack prepared!

The dark heroine herself was unprepared for what to come, and as a result, she was unable to stop her opponent from grabbing her by her head, driving her head first into the mat with a bulldog!

"Ghouughhhh!!!"

The move had taken quite a lot of her HP, and she was affected by a status effect, Stunned, which would allow the heroine to keep her assault on her. Things didn't look too good for the dark heroine so far.

“Super effective!” Yuko bellowed, pushing herself back up onto two feet.

Outthought and outmaneuvered! There was more to battle than simply power, a lesson that the firesome Sonic Knight was now learning the harsh consequences of. The moment Brave Yuko was back on two feet, she crouched down, unsure for a moment of how to proceed. She’d gone this far to bring her opponent to the floor. How would she build on such an advantage? Go for a big move? That would expend quite a bit of mana. Take a health potion? That would only mean more time for the knight to recover. What to do? What to do?

“Sonic Knight’s status effect is waning!”

Yuko didn't have much time left to decide on her next move. With the turn timer running low, a strategy began to take shape inside of her head. One that would hopefully turn the tide against her powerful opponent and deal with that annoying barrier.

Dashing forth in a break of speed, Yuko would make a quick leap up off the ground, bringing her leg high out in front of her. She’d aim to bring her shin right down onto the dark knight’s neck, punishing her with a falling leg drop. At the same time, her other leg would sneak underneath Sonic Knight’s neck, just a second after impact. Assuming her adversary’s guard had not managed to withstand her attack, Yuko would lock het legs together with a triangle choke in a bid go drain that tremendous stamina bar!

Inflicted by the most annoying ailment ever known to men, Sonic Knight couldn't do anything due to her stunned state, which allowed her adversary to carry on with her assault. The impact from the bulldog had taken not only a chunk of her HP, but also left her very disoriented on the mat, and she had no real way of protecting herself from Brave Yuko's next attack. Sure enough, Yuko continued with her attack with a leg drop right into her neck, inflicting more damages on the dark heroine's receding HP!

"Gaagkkkhhhh!!!"

Now in a very precarious spot, Sonic Knight was not only unable to do anything, but also in pain, which allowed Brave Yuko to lock her legs together around Sonic Knight's neck, putting her in a triangle choke submission hold. "Mrghhhhh!!!" Sonic Knight groaned, feeling her stamina bar starting to turn yellow from the pressure around her neck. If nothing was done to this, the bar might go to red, which would spell danger for the harbinger of darkness.

In desperation, Sonic Knight balled her fist as she would try to nail her opponent into the side of her abdomen, hoping that the jab was enough to stop the pressure, allowing her to recover and free herself from this detestable hold!

Despite current appearances, Sonic Knight was an incredibly difficult enemy to restrain. The monster’s strength certainly didn’t manifest in her appearance alone. The more she struggled, the more the brave heroine felt she had to reassert her hold just to keep the woman in binds. Nevertheless, she’d been feeling rather confident in her skill, especially after hearing the sputters and pain the villainess was clearly going through.

“Simply acknowledge defeat, villain! There’s no need to suffer in vain!” Yuko boasted, evidently going for the higher gold reward from a submission.

The Dark Knight was one of stronger resolve, however. Far stronger than the Holy Sword expected from this avatar of darkness. Despite the pressure working on her neck, the villain managed to throw a fierce jab straight into Yuko’s ribcage, taking advantage of her weak point. The heroine groaned, her body twisting and legs crooking slightly, unable to force any more pressure from the hold.

Rather than simply abandon the hold, Yuko would twist over on her good side, flipping the two of them over to plant Sonic Knight’s face to the floor while bringing Yuko onto all fours. From there, she’d untangle the figure-four lock and roll forward, stopping on one knee before turning on the spot to face her newly freed adversary with a stern glare. Her enemy was proving to be ever elusive. Harder attacks were going to be needed, but for that, she’d need…

“Item -> Seed of Strength!” Yuko exclaimed, reaching behind her and pulling out...nothing. Bringing her empty hand to her lips, she tilted her head back, taking a few bites from the invisible, pint-sized pellet before ahhing in delight. “Attack is up! Good.” She nodded to herself.

The hit to the ribcage seemed to work its wonder as the detestable Brave Yuko stopped applying pressure in the hold, but she still wasn't out of tricks yet, and Sonic Knight found herself being flipped over before having her face planted into the canvas. "Urgh!!" And then, Brave Yuki cancelled the figure four as Sonic Knight still have her face planted on the mat, and she grunted, bringing her hands on the canvas in order to push herself back up.

Once she got herself on her knees, Sonic Knight threw a glare at Yuko, who seemed to be boosting herself. Not good, the dark heroine thought. To simply let her enemy strengthen herself without opposition was a mistake on her part, and Sonic Knight had to be quick to come up with a solution to this problem.

"You shall know the meaning of fear!!" Sonic Knight bellowed as she would force herself to get herself back on her feet, clenching both her hands into fists, seemingly powering herself up. While there might be no physical change on her, it seemed that she was starting to shift into a more superior form. "Behold... the first phase of my form, and tremble..." she said, holding both her hands up theatrically as she looked at Brave Yuko, a smirk forming on her face.
