Pyrena Alexandria Nikos vs Isa Hjalmarsdottir - Greek vs Norse

Even against a seemingly strong opponent and of different mythology, Pyrena prefers to keep the competition good spirited. Isa seems like a nice person so there was no need to get too heated. Besides, it looked like she could definitely show a good time! Pyrena grinned at Isa's reply, the Viking doing her best to keep up, to which the Red Amazonian appreciated.

Course, she herself had a feeling that one of them was going to retreat or get pushed back to the cage wall. Pyrena felt she could go on much longer so it had to be Isa. Which meant that she would escape and get away. Pyrena had other plans, however.

As evident with the Greek warrior breaking up the lockup, only for Pyrena to lift up Isa and effectively slam her down with a Running Powerslam, the first big move that the crowd had seen, eliciting a nice response from the crowd!

Though that wasn't going to be all for the blonde Viking.

After a moment, Pyrena moved over Isa's body and getting to her side, her arms wrapping around Isa. "How about I show you more of my strength?" Getting on one knee, the Greek woman took a deep breath before attempting something not many would have seen in an octagon: deadlifting someone off from the ground.

In the case that Pyrena was successful in getting up to her feet, with Isa in her arms, the Red Amazonian would attempt a Fallaway Slam. Considering the strength of Pyrena, it would perhaps be a case of how far she could really throw someone like Isa's size!

Isa's landing from Pyrena's Powerslam had been far from pleasant. In fact, it was probably one of the most painful landings she had ever had... Apart from the times she had fallen off from the back of her horse back in Iceland. The slopes of volcanoes were definitely not the nicest terrains to land on.

Even if the floor of the octagon was relatively soft compared to them, the blonde was still visibly too rattled from the impact to make an effort to get back up again. And as it turned out, she did not even need to. Pyrena was going to be all too happy to do it for her.

As the Greek warrior began wrapping her arms around the Viking girl's body, Isa started to regain her senses. And as Pyrena said her words, the blonde's level of alarm was raised immediately to a much higher level. "I... I think you have... EEK!"

The blonde's embarrassing shriek of surprise was triggered as the result of the Amazonian redhead suddenly beginning to deadlift her up! Pyrena's strength seemed to be spectacular indeed, and evidencing it herself caused the Angel of Ice to freeze herself in the warrior's arms... She knew something bad was coming again, and she had no idea how to stop it!

And what was worse, Isa had no idea what she could come up with to counter her mighty opponent's strength... Although that thought was primary for only a short while, before Pyrena's Fallaway slam sent her spectacularly flying across the octagon! Isa's helpless body slammed hard to the mat, right next to the octagon wall, before coming to a stop against it. Trying to sit up and turning her head towards Pyrena, the expression on the blonde's face was very telling.

Telling of fear, telling of despair. She had come out to this dangerous octagon tonight as a strong Viking, but now she was turning out to be just a ragdoll for the Greek Amazonian warrior?!?

If she wasn't already in the competitive spirit, Pyrena would have felt a twinge of guilt on having to slam Isa like that. Perhaps even more so with what comes after.

Pyrena didn't waste time, even if she must be stunned after that. The Greek Warrior wrapped her arms around the Viking combatant and lifting her up almost like it's nothing. The Angel of Ice didn't struggle much, which made it all the easier as she soon took flight from Pyrena's fallaway slam! The crowd looked in wonder as Isa was thrown right next to the Octagon wall. Once Pyrena saw her blonde competitor, she would have thought she actually did throw her to the wall! All in all, she wasn't disappointed in her showcase of strength.

Isa in the meanwhile looked like she didn't want more of it!

The Greek Amazonian rolled and got to one knee, brushing her vivid red hair back. Looking on as Isa tries to sit up and quite horrified to boot! "You're not done already, aren't you?" She would call out as she stood on her two feet. It was uncommon for her own foes to look like this just barely two minutes into this match. Pyrena wasn't done of course so she was going to continue as she came to the Angel of Ice herself.

"Let's get you up, shall we?" Pyrena chucked as she brought her hands between Isa's arms in order to hoist her up to her own two feet. Just to set something up for her own offence.

Isa had come to AFW thinking it was just going to be all in the name of some fun, but by now the actual scale of the competition there was becoming terrifyingly obvious to her. Pyrena was a terrific example of unprecedented size, strength and skill for the beautiful Icelander, and the blonde was dangerously much at a loss with how to deal with her opponent...

Even if Isa's face was very telling of shock and fear, Pyrena seemed to see no reason to change her plan at all, proceeding once again towards the already ragdolled blonde. And even Isa had to admit that she had absolutely no reason not to do so... The Greek warrior had only begun showing what she was capable of, and she had only been using perfectly acceptable moves for a wrestling match! The Angel of Ice knew very well that it was her own, and only her own task to defend herself.

But how? Isa gave no replies to the redhead's rhetorical questions as Pyrena began hoisting her up once again. She had enough of more critical matters running through her head... What should she do? What could she do? How was she going to save herself from being ripe for pinfall after just one minute in the octagon?

Isa knew two things, and those were what she could try to base her strategy on. Firstly, she knew her own strength lies in her legs, and she could hope that the amount of it could be efficient against Pyrena too. And secondly, she had seen how some smaller opponents had tried to struggle against her own dominance, and now that she was in the same situation as them, she could try to copy some of their techniques!

As soon as Pyrena had gotten the blonde on her two feet, the Angel of Ice decided to make her move. Taking support of Pyrena's shoulders and the octagon wall, the blonde tried to jump up high enough to wrap her own thighs around the redhead's sides, and lock her ankles behind the redhead's back! Granted, she knew it wasn't necessarily a good idea to gain any elevation after being ragdolled like that, but it was the only way to find out if her own scissors were any good against Pyrena!

And oh, did the blonde try to squeeze the Greek Warrior's body hard. As hard as if her life depended on it...

As she walked up towards the blonde, Pyrena was trying to figure out what else Isa brought to the table, besides just coming from a Nordic background.

Of course, the past minutes we're just Pyrena turning the Icelandic woman to a ragdoll but there was a brief moment when they were in the initial test of strength lock up. It would be wise to take her down before Isa could utilize her strengths, but there was the underlying curiosity of finding out.

Still, this could potentially be a quick victory for the Greek if things carry on like this. It wasn't something that Pyrena herself could be satisfied with in all honesty, especially with a theme like this, but a victory nonetheless.

The Red Amazonian brought Isa to her two feet. She could have opted for another deadlift but Pyrena had other plans that didn't require it. At the very least, she was going to keep the momentum going on her side. Hence why she didn't give Isa a reprieve and get back up to her feet by herself. That is until the blonde surprised her.

Remember the part about her curiosity? There's a good saying in regards to that somewhere involving a cat...

Before she would know it, Pyrena found Isa's legs wrapped around her sides, ankles locked behind her. Granted, that alone wouldn't surprise her much. Especially since her grappling days. What did surprise her what the power behind those legs as she is probably squeezing her with all of her might. A sharp gasp as Isa's scissors bite into her waist. Eyes shutting, an audible grunt escaped her lips, her hands could try to pry them away but with this kind of power, it wasn't possible.

Of course, she's one of those people...

And if she doesn't do anything quickly, then Pyrena would be in massive trouble. Pyrena would look to bring them away from the cage wall and towards the center if she could. Though the more she breathed in, the more Isa's thighs crush her midsection, meaning less air taken inside. Instead of her hands gripping at the blonde's legs, Pyrena looked to grip the inside of her elbows. There wouldn't be much time wasted as Pyrena would attempt to slam the Angel of Ice to the ground. Hopefully she could shut this down before more damage would be taken and fast...

For Isa, things had gone downhill faster than the blonde could ever recall. Pyrena had turned out to be a seriously tough, seriously strong opponent, who had gotten the Angel of Ice seriously in trouble record-fast. Something that was partly also due to the fact that getting thrown and slammed around like that was not something that the blonde would have had to face, and endure before, and the pain from being subjected to being such a ragdoll was not only new, but much more incapacitating than the blonde could have really predicted...

That's why it was so important for Isa to go all-out with her offence now. She needed to unleash the power of her legs, inflict all the pain they could deliver on Pyrena, and hope for the best.

The attempt started off well. Her jump clearly surprised the Greek warrior, her legs locked perfectly around the redhead's body, and the grunts and grimace on Pyrena's face were clearly telling that she was feeling the might of the blonde Viking! Isa could feel a hint of relief rushing through her veins... Now all she had to do next was to push her opponent's body down to the mat!

But that never happened. Oh no, Pyrena had distinctly different plans. The redhead began quickly retreating towards the center of the cage, denying Isa the benefit of support from the octagon wall. It was harder to keep her upper body straight and upright, and relying on Pyrena's body for support was necessary. Now the blonde could only pray that the power of the redhead's hands would not be enough to pry her legs apart...

But her prays turned out to be grossly misdirected. Instead of beginning to fight against Isa's legs, the Greek warrior suddenly pushed and slammed Isa's upper body ruthlessly to the mat! Her tactics caught the blonde rookie completely off guard, resulting in a devastating impact. "GAHH!" A hopeless shriek ecaped Isa's lips as her once mighty grip around Pyrena's waist unravelled in an instant, leaving the blonde viking's body lying spreadegle in front of the Greek warrior's towering body.

Soon as Isa's legs clamped tightly onto Pyrena's sides, the Greek knew she had to get out of it. And fast.

Even with the earlier showing of strength and throwing her around like a ragdoll, Pyrena wasn't going to go easy on the Angel of Ice or even underestimate her. More often enough, that would open the door to her downfall. She had seen these examples all of her life fighting and she was not going to let herself be added to those examples for others to learn....and maybe not listen. Depends on the person.

So far, Pyrena did the right things so far, while Isa seems more focused on unleashing the power of her legs than she does try to defend her power position. With the amount of pressure crushing her sides, she deduced that trying to pry those legs would be a waste of time. Something she could use practically. So instead, Pyrena went for something that not even the Viking had thought of.

She slammed her as hard as she could, the canvas reverberating underneath. And that was more than enough to make Isa let her go. It was all pretty simple from there. Whilst taking more oxygen inside her, Pyrena's mind was part thankful she got out quickly but also wondering how it could be for someone else who also used their legs, just like Isa. Alica came to mind, another redheaded woman that she had wanted to take on but never could have the chance. She was about as tough like Pyrena. Would that have worked? Would Alica tough it out and still hold on? She supposes it's worthless to ask that now.

Her warrior spirit burned brighter as she brushed her red locks back. Green eyes looking down at her helpless opponent. There were so many things she could do, but Pyrena's logical mind had one target in mind. And that is Isa's legs. Taking them out would be beneficial in order for victory to be obtained.

With that being said, the Red Amazon, grabbed at the Viking's ankles, hoping she could lock it in before the Icelandic native would recover. Positioning her legs so that she could hopefully tie them up for a figure four leglock!

Her back was hurting. Hurting like hell.

That was the one thing in Isa's mind as Pyrena's slam had spread her on the mat. The Greek warrior had been slamming her Norse foe right from the start, ruthlessly and with mighty power. Power that the Icelandic blonde had never had to face before.

She wasn't a real Viking. She was an angel. The Angel of Ice.

Now she was an Angel that was falling. Very, very quickly.

Only way she could stop falling was to start acting like a Viking. A mighty, strong, powerful Viking. But how?

Unfortunately before Isa could find an answer to that question, Pyrena knew exactly how to make the Angel fall down even faster. Before the blonde could really react, the redhead had already locked her precious assets into a tight figure-four leglock!

"GAAAH! Nngh!" The downed Viking showed again signs of life as cries and moans of pain escaped from Isa's lips. Now being put into this hold was definitely not a first for her. No, it was obvious that some of her previous opponents had tried to render her best assets useless.

The difference was that they hadn't been as strong as Pyrena. They hadn't been able to keep the hold this tight. So tight that despite her best struggles, Isa felt that she was not going to get out of this one. Only thing she could do now was to try to endure it.

In her mind, it made sense to go for the legs. Even if it was just for a full hot minute, Pyrena knew they were something else. She knew all too well on those that could have one hold locked in and locked in tight should they get the chance. The Angel of Ice had her chance. Shame it wasn’t locked around her head or neck. Now she’s became a fallen angel of sorts.

As one purple titan once said, “You should have gone for the head.”

Maybe now as Pyrena locked in the Figure-Four Leglock that Isa could think about that. Asides from the massive strain her legs were going through. The redhead was curious. Surely she would have been in this situation before. Especially coming from someone who frequently uses her legs. And this is probably the first time she has attacked them too. Regardless, it was a move that seemed pretty effective and the Amazonian kept the leg lock strong, torturing those legs even more.

“Come on! Vikings are supposed to be tougher than this? Or is this Greek too much for you?” She couldn’t help to get into this more. Norse vs Greek matches tend to bring the more competitive side of her.

Pyrena may have been thinking what Isa should have done, but Isa was thinking whether she should have gotten herself into this cage tonight at all. Sure, in wrestling you couldn't always win, she could accept that. But this, this was getting ragdolled. This was getting squashed. This was no fun. For her at least, that was...

And what were those thoughts again? Pathetic ones. Ones of a loser. Ones of a quitter. Ones of someone who should not step a foot inside the AFW arena. But still ones that were extremely difficult to overcome when subjected to such a torturing, powerful hold as Pyrena was subjecting Isa to now.

The redhead's words really hit their mark though. If anything, Isa wanted to defend her heritage! She wanted people to be impressed by Vikings! And even more importantly, she did not want to be the one to cause her heritage to lose its dignity in the hands of some Greek warrior!

A fire sparked inside the blonde. She did not still have an efficient plan on how to escape Pyrena's hold, but she could at least show resistance! Thus, the Angel of Ice began flinging her arm towards the redhead, trying to deliver any chops or punches she possibly could to any of Pyrena's limbs within her reach! It was not much, but it was at least something.
