Charlie Haines vs. Valley Doll - Tension Rising

Two strikes for the price of one. Judging by the way Charlie reacted, Valley could say for certain that her kicks worked on men just as well as they did with her female opponents, so that was good to know. There’d be plenty of other experiments to run, too.

For now, her main focus was just piling on the damage, and effort that was going well enough so far. Where to focus that energy, that was the question? Legs? Arms?

The back. She’d already started well there with her kicks, might as well push that nail a bit deeper into the coffin.

Valley took a few steps, moving until she hit the ropes. She bounced off them with her back, ran towards Charlie, then jumped at the last moment, tucking in her legs as she fell so she landed on his back with a running knee drop. Right on the spine. She’d taken the move enough to know how much it would hurt, particularly when he’d just taken a good hit there.

Charlie was struggling to move, again trying yo get to his hands and knees to crawl. He must have looked pathetic. His own self directed anger was once more replaced by exploding pain as Valley landed down on him with her knees.

Charlie crumpled to the mat in a motionless heap, screaming a loud in pain as Valley looked every bit the talented female competitor and he looked more like a hapless male from the crowd who stepped into the ring with a gorgeous woman, not at all prepared for or up to the task of facing her inside the ropes.

And that did the trick.

Valley’s knee struck hard and right on, letting her roll off a second. She looked over her shoulder and yes, just like she expected, Charlie was flat on the mat and it didn’t look he would be getting up for a few moment. Good.

Instead of getting back to her feet, Valley pivoted on her knee and moved over to Charlie’s side. She pushed hard on his shoulder, enough to flop him over to his back, and reached over to tug his leg in as she leaned on his chest. She doubted this would work so early on, but there was no harm in keeping the pressure of him, either way.

The referee dropped down to her knees and started up the count. ”1…!”

Charlie moaned in agony, aching and in tons of pain already. He felt Valley cover him and his mind registered that he had to kick out.

His once fast body was slower on the uptake. "TWO!" This wasn't good. Charlie tried to summon his energy and thrust a shoulder up, breaking the count at two. He winced, gritting his teeth as his face betrayed how he felt. He slapped the mat and tried to shove Valley off as forcefully as he could. He was small and strength was never his thing. Still he had to convey that he wasn't going to just roll over and quit.

Valley was expecting the first count. She’d rattled Charlie pretty hard, and even the best wrestlers could find their shoulders on the mat for a second if they were taken off guard.

The second one surprised her, though. Even though he managed to get his shoulders up right after, it was still further than she’d expected. Apparently she’d done a pretty good job of clock cleaning with this guy.

She wouldn’t lie, she was a little proud of herself, but Charlie was far from done, and judging from the hard way he shoved her off, he was intent on proving that. Valley rolled with the momentum from his push, fell to her shoulders, and kicked her legs up in time to flip back up to her feet, standing tall with one quick, deft move. She didn’t move back in yet, though. Instead, she just leaned forward with a lazy smile, one hand on her knees while she beckoned him on with the other. ”Reset?”

Well this was telling. Charlie looked at her body language as he got up, and she was not in the least threatened by him. Charlie used to be a talker, saying more humorous things, light trash talking for the amusement of all.

Today he just nodded, looking serious and trying not to look too angry. Angry at Valley for being nonchalant and more so angry at himself for falling short of his old standard. Pre-accident Charlie.

He circled and reset, his instincts said to go for a quick strike. However, he knew Valley was strong for a lady.... but not like his pal Alaina. Charlie moved in and tried to wrap Valley up in a gtapple, uncharacteristic of Charlie but he was desperate.

To Charlie’s credit, while he hadn’t gotten off to the best of starts and he obviously knew it all too well, it didn’t seem like he was letting it trouble him all too much. If anything, he seemed more resolute than ever, looking her way with iron in his eyes. Serious now. She liked that.

Valley moved in sync with him, circling about the ring, closing in on him, then going in for the grapple. On face, it wasn’t the best idea - he wasn’t a big bruiser, but he certainly had a strength advantage. How much of one, though? She was keen to find out. Plus, she knew that accepting the grapple could open up certain opportunities, chances that she could turn to her favor.

For the moment she pushed into him, only to get steadily pushed back as his strength came into play…

Charlie felt Valley pushing and he slowly made progress. Being shorter did help and give him a lower center for gravity which as a bonus. He groaned as he had to exert everything he had to get any progress. He had an idea, and was taking a page out of his friends playbook more than his own once again.

Charlie tried to send a quick knee into Valley's abdomen hoping to surprise her. He tried to send the strike fast, sacrificing a bit of power. He bent down, grabbing Valley between the legs with one arm and around the shoulder with the other. Charlie had to unfortunately take the extra time to bend do to generate the power to lift Valley up. That gave her time to make a counter or even worse, try to block Charlie and embarrassingly end up scoop slamming him down instead!

He did his best, hoping his surprise slam worked....

One step back. Then another. Then another. Valley didn’t need to be told that Charlie was stronger than her, but if she had been that dumb, this would have proved her wrong beyond any doubts. It wasn’t a question of if he’d work her back to the ropes, but when he’d do it. From the looks of it, that wouldn’t be too long.

But that wasn’t Charlie’s plan. Valley gasped when he suddenly broke away and moved into the telltale position for a scoop slam. Good move, actually. The switchup would definitely have caught many wrestlers off guard.

Just not her.

Instead of fighting his scoop, she actually helped him, by jumping along with his lift. In fact, she helped him too much, because her jump insured that she would sail over his shoulders, instead landing on them as he wanted. As she passed overhead, she wrapped her arms around his neck, getting him into an inverted headlock.

From there, it was all academic. Her feet had only touched down for a second, before she kicked them out yanked his head down, and tried to slam his skull into the mat with a snap inverted DDT.

Charlie managed to lift Valley up all right, but it seemed to all work according to her plan instead of his! He let out a muffled yelp as he was now bent back, and her arms around his neck. Falling and plummeting he felt like she either knew what he was going to do before he did... or he really was just this far off of what he used to be. He groaned and squirmed as his head throbbed and bounced off the mat, leaving him laid out on the canvass.

The only signed of life were a weak moaning and his arms cradling his head as he rolled to the side. Valley had perfectly countered everything he tried so far and he felt like he was a rank amateur being toyed with at this point. Morale was something for others it seemed as currently he had none.
