The Black Fang vs. Sien Teist - Old School

Hitting Sien with the Atomic Drop served two purposes. First and most obvious, the moves a good way to deal some quick damage on her opponent, and hurt her in an effective way. One of the worst things about the Atomic Drop wasn’t just that the attack hurt, but that damage was done to a part of your body that you weren’t used to taking damage on. The move was painful and shocking all at once.

Oh, and the move was also a wrestling mainstay that had gone sadly underused in recent years. The Black Fang was all about bringing the classics back.

With both task accomplished, the Black Fang broke into a run and dashed past Sien. She turned hit the ropes right in front of her, and came running back at the mad doctor with her arm outstretched, attempting to hit her in the chest with a clothesline to the chest, a clubbing blow to bring her hard to the mat.

She swore an oath to herself. She would never, ever, use an atomic drop on a living person... Unless she way paying The Black Fang for that one. She had spent dozens of days throwing and slamming herself in just about every position imaginable. None of them compared to this. She wasn't sure why, she supposed it was bone on bone contact but she was only guessing.

Scientist/professor/doctor cred flushed down the toilet.

She flinched hearing The Black Fang behind her only to see her run past. She was dimly aware through the pain she was heading for the ropes. She had seen enough matches to know if she could beat her there, she might be able to get her over the top rope to the outside. That would give her some much needed time to recover.

On her best of days The Black Fang would likely run circles around her. While she hobbled in what could only be described as a shuffling gallop, it was a hopeless afair. The other girl beat her to the ropes and was already coming back at her. In a last ditch effort she threw out her own arm, having a similiar idea to her hero.

She didn't have the speed or the momentum behind her arm but would that matter? If she had time she would have loved to say something withing about Newton's third law it was fitting here. She braced for impact at the last moment, throwing herself at The Black Fang. Regardless of if her own clothesline hit, the one that struck her snapped her back to slam against the mat, its intended resting place for her. She lay sprawled out in a daze, trying to blink away her muddy thoughts as she lay on the canvas.

The Black Fang was going to hit Sien with a clothesline. One of the simplest, easiest moves in all of wrestling, so straighfoward that a four year old could get the logic. She was going to extend her arm and hit her foe with it. Not a problem.

And, yet, the moment she went for the move, she made a split second realization: her opponent was doing the same thing. Same move. They were so in sync that a skeptical crowdmember would’ve thought they had practiced this whole thing.

But, no, it was real. The two wrestlers hit each other in tandem and fell in tandem, coming down hard on their backs. Painful. Probably made for a good spot on TV, though. She would have to come back and check all this for later.

Now, she was just laying on the mat, with a fluttering blink and a wide mouth. [color=#000000]”Okay, that...that was a bad idea, right?{/color]

"I can't feel my anything..." Was all she choked back to The Black Fang in a groan. She fell silent after a few beats passed before she laughed... It wasn't Sien in this moment, it was Alexa. She couldn't help it. Just imaging the scene of what just transpired was inexplicably humorous to her. Hopefully nobody could hear her breaking character. She slipped a hand up under her goggles to rub at her eyes. She had a few small tears blinking around them from how funny she found this all. She really should get up.... but she wasn't ready to just yet. Or rather her body wasn't ready to let her.

The official had moved over to the both of them, a looming presence  overhead. She was thankful for the referee, a good portion of the arena lights were blocked from shining directly down on her.

She rocked from side to side weakly before rolling onto her stomach. She groaned again, pressing her forehead down against the mat before giving it two small thunks with her head. Time to get up AJ. She propped herself up with a forearm, feeling around for the ropes with the other. She came up empty, nothing around to grab onto. She lurched back like a zombie, upper body swaying a bit as she lifted herself up, half sitting half on her knees. She stared down the bridge of her goggles at The Black Fang, huffing. "You give up yet? Huh? Black...FROG." She started to think she may be concussed. Her wit was slipping.

The Black Fang - no, Ryoko laughed along with Alexa, a small chuckle where no one could hear, save perhaps the referee. In that moment, they weren’t two wrestlers trying to pin each other, or even a hero and a villainess fighting for the fate of all wrestlerkind. They were just two friends, having a good time.

That couldn’t last, of course. They had to get back to work. Fun diversion, though.

Determined as ever, the Black Fang began to rise, sitting up and going from there. She turned to face Sien as she did, not wanting to give the villain too much of an opening. She pushed up to her knees, then raised to one foot, halfway to rising, at the same level as her foe. Eye to eye, chest to chest, face to face.

The Black Frog comment was somewhat confusing, but she decided to just roll with the gist. Hardly the weirdest thing in this match. Not at all, you...quack!”’

Ah, crud, that wasn’t much better. The Black Fang tried to make up for that, however, by accompanying her words with a knife-edge chop to Sien’s chest, drilling into her with the side of her hand.

She was glad she wasn't the only one to be lost in that moment, though it could have just been her laugh was infectious. As she rose up onto her knees a good stepping off point for whens he managed the rest. For not she stared over at the woman beside her as she staggered to a similiar state. They locked eyes then, though with her goggles who knows where The Black Fang thought her attentions were drawn to. She huffed and puffed and didn't really find the energy to go anything further yet. Resting in a state of limbo.

Alexa internally cursed at how much better The Black Fang's retort had been. Bested again. The shame.

To add injury to insult she took the full brunt of the chop across her chest. The sound sicking, the pain searing, she hissed like a steaming tea kettle trying to somehow defuse the burn somehow. She had been pushed back, leaning out too far as her arms flailed, teetering on the edge of falling. Righting herself, she rose from one knee, planting a boot of her own as she fired back with a knife-edge chop of her own!

"Let's cut straight to the point!"

Her strike lacked the form, and likely power The Black Fang's had behind it. This wasn't exactly her strong suit but by god she was determined to stay toe to toe which the heroine as they battled their way back up blow for blow.

The Black Fang’s chop was appropriately biting, striking with precision and unforgiving force. She didn’t want to maul AJ, but she didn’t want to shame her by holding back, either. Asami had always stressed the value in giving everything your all, and she was sticking to that.

For a moment, though, the Black Fang was worried. AJ teetered and tottered and looked likely to fall flat on her butt - not matching, of course, but a direct blow to the pride that she didn’t want to deal.

But she managed to keep herself upright and steady, much to the Black Fang’s delight. Even better, she had the energy to strike back in the way that wrestling tradition demanded.

Sien’s strike didn’t hurt quite as much the Black Fang’s, didn’t have the same force behind the edge, but that didn’t mean she was as weak by any measure. There was enough pain to make our heroine cry out in both shock and pain. Yeah, the form needed some work, but that was nothing six months of slapping doors couldn’t fix.

The pain did a great job of waking the Black Fang up, and was quick to return fire with another chop, striking as she rose to both feet. ”I’m going to cut you down to size!”

She winced slapping a chop across The Black Fang's chest, the blow stung her hand almost as much as the previous strike she had taken. She was testing to take a moment, she needed to take one. She was feeling sluggish and weak. She closed her eyes for the second choo, taking it with a howl. It was just as painful and numbing, but she had greater footing now.

Alexa pulled herself to her feet, pulling back her her arm over the opposite shoulder as she sneered. "I make more impressive incisions in my sleep!" She slashed her adversary with a backhand chop! She threw just about everything she had into it, not sure she could manage to weather another blow or two if The Black Fang was capable having her down with another blow.

On their feet now, the Black Fang stood back and watched as Sien reeled from the hit, but managed to keep a solid base. Good, good - she still had plenty of fight left, enough to make this match worthwhile. What was more, she was clearly gearing up to retaliate. Reeling back for a heavy blow, preparing to give her the best chop she could muster.

A shame that the Black Fang had already made a decision not to get hit by it.

No, as fun as this exchange was, it couldn’t go on forever, and it would be a matter of who broke the chain first. As it so happened, the Black Fang was vying for that honor, and she got it. Instead of taking the blow head on, she ducked under it at the last second, letting the momentum carry Sien all the way around. The moment she was turned, the Black Fang went in, reached under her arms, clasped her fingers together behind her Sien’s head and attempted to lock her in a full nelson.

She had thrown everything into it. So much so when her target wasn't there, her momentum spun her completely around, she would have gone a full rotation if not for The Black Fang's help. She felt her arms hook up under her own before palms clamped down on her neck, wrenching her head forward in an awkward hunch. She had a brief moment of panic when the hold was applied... until it clicked what hold it was. She grinned so wide it almost hurt. She had to contain herself, this was one she knew intimately, and one she was more than capable of breaking out of. Still, knowing that meant one thing to her. She should play it up before making a big escape.

She arched her back, swaying from side to side trying to play up the flailing with actually thrashing herself about too badly. It still hurt when pressure was applied, she needed to be careful. "Darn you, Black Fang, and your biting holds! I'll end you for this insult!" She steadied herself out, bumping back into the woman behind her a few times. Trying to make this look as convincing as possible. She wondered if she was ready for this or not...

She took a sudden step to the side, kicking a leg back behind The Black Fang to stop the woman from backing up. She was able to shimmy back from her, in danger of breaking free if she hadn't already pulled back far enough to slip out. But there was more. Her arms wrapped themselves around the girl's waist, trying to pull her up off the ground and drop her to the canvas in a sudden sidewalk slam.
