Queen of the Mountain Match

Risako's boot slammed hard into Mimi, downing her green-clad opponent and leaving her sprawling on the grass. Just as she went down, gravity kicked in, and Mimi began to roll slightly down the hill. For a moment, Risako considered picking Mima up again and executing a suplex, a lariat, or even a simple throw to send her to the bottom of the hill-- something to make sure her opponent was on the back foot for the rest of the match.

But then she saw Artemis kneeling upright-- that is, after catching both of her (no less powerful) opponents in an impressive reversal of Laura's crossbody attack. She couldn't help but whistle to herself. That was impressive. She wasn't going to lie, but she had seen very few people pull off such an effective counter like that. Artemis would need to be dealt with sooner or later, she decided.

"Still awake down there, Mimi-chan?" she called to her fellow Wrestle Angel. Without waiting for a reply, she grabbed Mimi by the head and the arm and whipped her down the hill towards the kneeling Artemis. Whatever happened, Risako would be right behind Mimi-- ready to nail her, Artemis, or both by dropping low and lashing out with a momentum-driven baseball slide!

Mimi groaned out as she remained on her side for now, Risako's kick having caused the Magic Grappler to feel a bit woozy for a moment or so, and she probably was going to have a minor headache for a few minutes or so. Still, she was at least more or less fine. At least she thought she was, she was a bit too woozy to make out anything right now. 

To her surprise though, Soon enough the purple haired veteran reached down and took a hold of Mimi by her hair, pulling the short brown haired girl up to her feet and then sending her running with an Irish-whip! " W-wha?!" Mimi gasped out in surprise as she was sent running straight towards the powerful looking Artemis! 

She had no plans of crashing face first into that solid mass! As in the forced stumbling run, Mimi would jump up! In the jump she would try and shoot out her green boots, aiming them right up against Artemis's chest, happening just about the same time that Panther Riska went low with that baseball slide! 

It was almost as if the two worked in great unison with each other...perhaps having had more matches against one another than they could count, made them be on sort of the same wavelength.

Alright. She was starting to get her bearings again.

Throwing those two wrestlers over her wasn’t an easy feat, as impressive as it may have looked. Laura obviously was packed to the brim with gains, but Eka’s lean form wasn't easy to haul around either on top of that. Even an Armstrong had her limits, and that had almost reached the peak. Not the best move to resort to so early in the match. Especially this match, where endurance was the name of the game.

But whatever. She was back in this. Maybe now she could start making her way towards the ring. Get a headstart and-

Oh. A pair of boots. Where did those come from? Green, pretty stylish, soles looked pretty dirty though. Those were just the first thoughts that came to her mind. Then she saw Mimi’s face beyond them. Then noticed the other, purple figure sliding in beneath her. Panther going low like a baseball player, hair shimmering beautifully in the sun and wind. All the while, the two edged closer and closer to her, and all Artemis could say was:

“WHY-”

WHAP! They hit at basically the same time, but Panther managed to edge it out. That made things worse for Artemis. Her boots slammed into her shins, making her lean forward on reflex, only to be met face first by Mimi’s dropkick. The two were in perfect sync and it seemed like they managed it over the course of seconds. The muscular blonde fell back, rolling down the hill like a tumbleweed before finally coming to halt with her butt hanging in the air over her head. Face stung like hell, and her legs felt like someone had taken a crowbar to them.

Teamwork. Fucking bullshit.

Eka pushed herself up. There was so much noise around her. One noise was that of body on body, a distinct noise was that of body on body. Someone was getting hit and getting hit hard. The Georgian girl fell back to the ground again, still quite dizzy from the tumble down the hill. The second noise was the sound of the crowd roaring. Something big had just happened, and Eka had been face down to the hillside. The raven-haired girl tapped into a well of strength and pushed herself airborne. It took her a second to get her bearings, but soon Eka was on both legs and ready for action.

She brushed her dark hair from her face, and tried to gauge her surroundings. Next to her were a pile of three women, with the largest woman at the very bottom. Whatever she had just been hit with must have had the force of a pick up truck, because this woman was formidable. She turned to find someone sprinting up the hill with quite an advantage already. Eka pivoted and turned, ready to go charge up after them.

But then she stopped. This was a good chance to keep one of the women down for a long time. Eka dashed over to the downed Artemis and soared into the sky. She was not that good at aerial stuff, but she did not feel like she had to be. The Georgian girl twisted in the air, and sent a strong elbow down.

It was aiming for the woman's midsection. But, wherever she hit, she was more or less fine with it. Perhaps it was not the most honorable thing to attack a downed woman, but Eka figured that when it rained, it ought to pour.

Fine. Okay. Not doing so hot. These things could happen early on in a match. It was a natural thing to happen, upon reflection. Big fish in a small pond. Of course, she’d be public enemy number one as soon as the bells rung. Artemis was just doing them all the courtesy of giving them a fair shot. Sure, maybe she was being too generous, but Armstrongs were nothing if not considerate.

What mattered was the recovery. She just had to get back up and get in this fight. They still had to make it to the top of the hill, and the others had to be fairly tuckered out. There was still a chance for her to come back from this, right? Right? Right. Come on, Artemis. Just need to get your head in the game.

She kicked her legs back off her head and let them fall down onto the ground. Slowly, she opened her pained eyes and looked up at the clear blue sky, starting to gain her bearings once again. With one puff of breath, she placed her hands on the ground, leaned up and-

“COME ON-”

The elbow caught her square in the chest, feeling her sternum scrunch and the bony elbow ring slide across her ribs like a xylophone. The muscular blonde immediately rolled to the side, clutching her chest as she let out a couple heavy coughs.

Were they even fighting each other anymore? Artemis honestly had to question it all. This seemed like a sick ploy against her. For just a second, one little moment in time, she honestly considered that. An unholy alliance set to bring down the fair maiden before she could even reach the ring. Well, fine. Go ahead and try. She’d blow through them all the same.

In a second. Because goddamn, did her lungs hurt.

Originally, Risako had meant to hit both Mimi and Artemis in one fell swoop. Plans, however, rarely survived the ring intact, and this one moment proved that adage once again. Mimi, whether by preternatural instinct or sheer dumb luck, leapt up at the last minute, avoiding Risako's baseball kick as she instead launched a drop kick at Artemis. The end result was an unintentional, but nonetheless effective double-team: hit hard by Mimi's kick and at the same time having her legs knocked out from under her, Artemis was sent tumbling down the hill in a crashing, hurting heap.

Spinning back to her feet, Risako turned to face Mimi and smiled at her. "My my, you've learned quite a bit Mimi-chan.
I'm impressed," she purred. "I have to say you have definitely progressed a long way since our first match.
Perhaps we should make sure this ends with just the two of us fighting for the hill?"

Keeping wary in case Mimi decided to attack her, Risako spin to the side and, wanting to keep her momentum, charged down at Eka, just as the other girl was savagely elbowing Artemis. Without breaking stride, she would grab a hold of the girl's head with both hands and leap forward, aiming to hit her with a surprise facebuster!

Eka was still midair when she felt something hard grab the back of her head. Immediately, her big blue eyes became that much bigger due to the intense surprise she was feeling. Pursuant to what whoever grabbed her wanted and the laws of physics according to Sir Isaac Newton, the Georgian girl was sent crashing down onto the green grass of the hill. Her move against the larger, much more physically intimidating woman had gone off, sort of. The elbow still hit Artemis's gut.

But now she was in a pretty bad position too. The Georgian girl rolled over a few times, and then lay on the grass. She was holding her face in pain, and rolled a few times. The crowd were cheering. Their match was still in the beginning stages, and already it was pretty thrilling. There was always something going on.

Unfortunately, there was a lot of pain going on for Eka. She planted her palms on the soft ground, and thought about pushing herself up. Realizing that the pain in her head was too much, the raven-haired girl quickly recognized that it was a better strategy to stay down.

Risako watched as the dark haired girl was nailed hard by her out-of-nowhere facebuster. She almost felt bad for sneaking up on her like that, but this was the sort of match where no quarter could be offered or given. She was sure that Eka understood that as much as she did, otherwise she wouldn't be here.

Turning to the next nearest target-- the one whom Eka had previously elbowed, and whom she had previously accidentally double teamed with Mimi-- Risako grabbed a handful of her hair, hoisting Artemis upright. "Hi," she said cheerfully, before dropping low, hooking one arm around the back of Artemis' head and another around the back of her knee, aiming to quickly hoist her off the ground before turning to drop back and back body suplex her down again!

Mimi grunted out a bit in surprise as their impromptu tag move made it possible for Panther Risako and Mimi Yoshiara to take down the bigger woman though the words of Risako caused the brunette to scoff and then glare over at Risako.

" Don't forget that in our only AFW match, I kicked your old butt." Mimi said as she would then push herself up to her feet. A bit slower than Risako who quickly took off to attack both Eka and the mighty Artemis. After that suplex attempt of the Queen of Queens, Mimi Yoshihara took to a quick sprint after Panther Risako.

Looking to hit Risako right as she started to move up, with a swift shining wizard, jumping up a bit in order to snap her knee into the side of the purple haired woman's skull.

Artemis could safely say that she hadn’t earned any spots for the highlight reel as of yet. Not sure exactly what it was giving her that idea, but it could have been the stabbing pain in her gut.

All right, just refocus. There was still plenty of match to go and just as much left in the tank. The former actress placed her hands on the ground and went to push herself up when she realized someone else was giving her a hand with that. The next thing she saw was purple, then a face to go along with it. A very pretty face at that, with a tinge of politeness that Artemis couldn’t help but find uneasy.

“Uh, top of the morn-”

Oh, and up she went. She wasn’t exactly sure what happened. She was just about to compliment Ms. Risako on her choice of lipstick before she suddenly found herself facing the sky. She slowly drifted up, but before she could convince herself that she was ascending, she suddenly registered the hands propping her up. She had a feeling that Panther was going to be a strong opponent, but not quite this strong. Guess Laura wasn’t the only one she had to worry about when it came to physical strength.

Almost as soon as she realized what the Wrestle Angel was doing, she came crashing back down to earth. Her back smacked against the ground, tapping on the crook of her spine and forcing her back into an arc. She clenched her teeth and brought a hand behind her, not at all happy with how this match was progressing. She took a bit of comfort, though, in seeing the green-clad wrestler jumping into action right behind the Queen of Queens. Fair play, and all that.
