'Queen' of the Mountain Match

Alright so, I was going through some old TNA clips from like 2005 and I came across a match type that I didn't end up giving a chance the first time I heard of it. I honestly thought there was no way it could work. The concept sounded ridiculous and I figured the match would be horrible in the end. Well I figured coming across it again I'd give it a watch. To my surprise, the match was awesome and the concept I thought was ridiculous actually turned out to be pretty damn interesting.

The match was TNA's Annual King of the Mountain match. For those of you who don't know, the rules go as follows: 5 men start the match ineligible to win. In essence the match is a reverse ladder match. To become eligible to hang the belt up on the hook that hangs above the ring, you must score a pin or submission (Falls count anywhere) on one of your opponents. When a person is pinned or taps out in a match they must spend two minutes in a 'penalty cage' that is placed on outside of the ring. More than one person can be in the cage at a time which could cause a little fight to break out or a possible forming of a temporary team. When a person is eligible they must get the belt from the standing official that is outside the ring, eligible fighters can steal the belt from the person who retrieved it at any time to climb the ladder and hang it themselves, however if the belt is lying around the ring, one of the refs would grab it and hand it back to the official.

I figured this would be a really cool match to do in AFW, with it's own spin of course. Possibly the 2 minutes equating to 6 or more posts in the topic. The number of participants could also be shortened to 4 or 3 because of the difficulty in everyone keeping up. Figure it would be a fun thing to do for one of the titles one day, thought I would throw it out there.

It's a fun concept but it's going to be difficult to put into practice with all the stips unless someone (or everyone) keeps a running count of who's elligable to win, who's got how long to stay in the penalty box and who's turn it is in general.

Haha but cool to see so many people who like the idea. It would definitely be a fun scenario and everything. By the way to Kerflubble's worries, it would just have to be up to the participants to keep track of it, perhaps when some sort of thing happens, putting it in bold at the end of their post

Also if there's someone in the penalty box, each post should end with something like

Heather Sunderland - 5 posts left

Maybe posts by people in the penalty box shouldn't count towards the countdown.

Also, count one of my girls in for this, I'd like to try it, just not sure who...
