For once, I'm going to agree with Tai when it comes to wrestling. XD

NXT is a good show. There are good people doing good things on NXT.

NXT, however, does next to nothing to actually prepare people for the main roster.

I guess they could make NXT worse for the sake of getting people ready for what shit to expect on the main roster, but FCW was shit and didn't help anyone either.

As per Asuka being the winner...disagreed big time. Asuka's streak was broken by someone who was easily beaten by someone who could win the title via MitB AND an assist on top of that :/

I disagree on a few points.

Charlotte wasn't 'easily' beaten. Carmella got in more offense that she should've, but only really when she was being sneaky. They should've had her straight up cheat to win, but it's not like she beat Charlotte without any real problem.

As for Asuka, dropping the streak on Charlotte was still the best idea. I like Asuka, but I have to admit, the streak thing was getting old. There options were to keep it up and let it grow stale while they build someone up to take it, or drop it at Wrestlemania. While Charlotte had a poor showing last night, she's still pretty consistently booked to look strong, and probably has the best female win record on the roster behind Asuka. She's fairly well liked and respected by the fans, is an incredible talent, and considered to be one of the best female wrestlers out there - not just in the WWE, but period. It made sense. I didn't like it at the time, and I still have some trouble swallowing it today, but I see the sense in it.

NXT puts on great indy matches. Thats all it does well.

As a legit third brand, it fails, because its a loss leader, it doesn't make any money for WWE.

As a developmental league, it fails hard, because it does nothing to prepare anyone for the main roster, which is part of the reason why so many NXT stars end up becoming massive flops on Raw and Smackdown, or get no reaction from the main audience.

Look, the takeovers are great, and fun, and WWE stealing indy stars to do indy matches on the Network is fun, but NXTs only purpose at this point is to convince people who dislike WWE to give WWE money.

Meh...still better than Main roster

Is it? Seems like you want to have the discussion now and there's really no point in not doing it now. As for bad booking messing her promos...that kinda goes hand in hand with bad booking really don't know why that's there Bayley isn't allowed as much freedom with her words and it's clearly affecting her.

And no NXT does not do just 'good indie matches' a lot of those people build up there characters on there and to say they would only work on NXT is a vast underestimation of the people's abilities to work a crowd. Can they all translate to the main roster seamlessly? No but many of them would have been better off for being allowed to keep the characters they worked with when there clearly more comfortable with them.

I will admit, NXT isn't much of a developmental...but as an outlet for people to shape up their characters and train their promo skills, it's good. It really is a 3rd brand that allows indy wrestlers and PC's trainees to understand how WWE works.

As per Bayley botching...Sasha botches constantly, and she is still over :/

Not to knock on Sasha, she is great, but Bayley is just as great.

As per bad promos, to add to what MD said, NXT DOES allow more freedom with it's promos. Main Roster is fully scripted. NXT allows bullet pointed promos, last I checked.

And Acuya, streak dying is fine. I understand...but it felt wrong to do a clean victory over Charlotte right after her beating Asuka. Had IIconics interfered, I wouldn't even raised any argument. Charlotte still has to lose...but to show her as a worse wrestler right after she defeated THE woman of 2017?

You realize it didn't make her look like the worse wrestler right? They did a thing where Charlotte landed from the moonsault and tweaked her knee, then got kicked right into said tweaked knee for the pinfall.

Not a dirty win, but not exactly clean either.

My point with Bayley was she was having a lot of her promo issues even back when she was in NXT, and while there are plenty of people who got fucked with after leaving NXT causing them to fail (Ascension), there are others who weren't really messed with who still failed more often than not to get over after leaving NXT. (Kalisto is just one example, given they actually tried to push him a couple times)

But the main point is that you are wrong, only I am right, and as a Mod, I win by default.
