True, but Cesaro has a very short and small show called LandVogt TV that is a pretty regular Smackdown addition, and Swiss is not that far from where the event was. He is also the one who advises not to wrestle at home in German. And I also saw enough people with Cesaro Section shirts. But the Shield was probably too big a lure to cheer for.^^

Aside from that guy in NXT who is a "real" German he is probably the next best thing if you look for a native superstar.

Well, in the immortal words of every single Youtube commenter ever: "FIRST!"

It was...pretty awesome! All the matches were really good, Dream/Black and the Wargames match were particular standouts. MVPs of the later, by far, was Killian Dane.

Killlian Dain was a true boss. And Dream/Black was shockingly great. I didn't think much of the fight at the beginning, but it came out really well with the build and the finish.

The injuries were saddening I have to say, won't spoil what and who though.

Wargames I give you two paws up!

Tai Reviews Survivor Series 2017 (instead of posting like he should be, cause Tai is the dumb!)

Match 1: The Shield vs New Day:

Thought this was a really solid match. Had a couple odd moments here and there, like they planned on a 20 minute match and had to go 25 minutes, or something like that. Really fun, great moments and spots, hell of an ending with a Top Rope Cerebus Bomb. Really enjoyed it.

Match 2: Raw vs SD Womens Match:

On par, if not better, than last years Womens SS match. Fun moments (like Tamina vs Nia), and Asuka dominating the ending was great. Maybe not the best it could have been, but aside from the botched elimination of Alicia Fox, it was a good match and a good showcase for Asuka.

Match 3:Baron Corbin vs The Miz:

Little odd that Corbin more or less played the face role here. While there was nothing really special about this match, there was nothing bad either. No botches or mess ups, just a very standard match with a clean win. Enjoyable, if forgettable.

Match 4: The Usos vs The Bar:

Strong contender for Match of the Night. Honestly, if your not a fan of both teams at this point (yes, including Sheamus), then you are dumb. Excellent tag match, went above and beyond.

Match 5: Alexa Bliss vs Charlotte Flair:

Pretty damn good match, which had the crowds attention for almost the entire duration of it. Proof that strong booking can make a match feel more compelling. I felt it went on a little too long. But good match!


Match 6: Brock Lesnar vs AJ Styles:

The other contender for Match of the Night. I had hopes that Brock would come to play, and he did. Damn good match, telling a damn good story. I would say this was Brocks best 1 on 1 match since his 2013 match with CM Punk. Also, kudos to Brock for his selling. Dude sells better than 98 percent of the main roster. He took that Calf Crusher and limped the rest of the match, even during his F5, and after, while everyone else would have stopped selling the moment the match ended.

AJ of course, proved he's one of the best in the world still, and really its just a fucking awesome match that everyone needs to watch. I'm sure people are mad that it only took one F5 for Brock to win, but, as someone who frankly thinks finishers are done too often and made worthless these days, I'm honestly glad theres at least SOME attempt to keep a finisher strong like in the old days...even if it is just so Roman can kick out of it.

Still, the best forumla for Brock Lesnar matches is simple. 10-15 minute throw-everything-including-the-kitchen-sink-at-him battles.


Match 7: Raw vs SD Mens match:

WOW...just....WOW. What the fuck happened here. All your hot new talents, your current future of the company, thrown to the wayside to focus on old people. Lame.

What sucks is, this match had SUCH potential. Hell, if you had the SAME eliminations in a different order, it would be a far more compelling and unique match.

Really a shame and a let down. LOVED that Braun murdered HHH at the end, was perfect for Brauns character to tell HHH to not do that shit again. Loved how terrified HHH looked of Strowman.


Overall, a very good PPV marred by a disappointing main event. I give this show....a B. I would have given it an A, or even an A plus, had the main event been better.

Looks like a good week for HHH. First wargames gets lauded with praise, then he makes an appearance himself with Braun Strowman. To quote Booker T, both are in my fav5.^^

Any match with Cesaro is a good match by definition, he is one of these rare guys that can carry your lamest beginner wrestler to an exciting and technically acceptable match, a true ring general. Combine him with Sheamus, a through and through more than solid worker and put them against the new and improved Usos and you are in for a very good match.

I am still scratching my head at that main event. So much potential just flushed down the drain. The run came far too late and had no real impact. The actual wrestlers that should have been built up by hanging/taking out the vets got buried, and the finish just was a sour shot to the mouth.

My only other issue, honestly, was with the woman's tag match. I agree with booking Asuka as the last woman standing. This is really something she needs. I just really wish it had been Becky or Naomi with Tamina in the end. I figure they just didn't want to hit either of their big faces with a 2v1 loss, but as soon as the last three ladies were in the ring it just felt like the match was already over.

Black vs Dream was my match of the weekend, followed VERY closely by AJ vs Lesnar. Both were amazing matches with great spots and solid storytelling.

But i feel that this was disappointing. There are more stories opening up if Raw lost Survivor Series but instead they (Vince) want to reinforce the fact that Smackdown will always be the B show (despite showing RAW up on a near constant basis in terms of quality matches.)

It feels sad. Eliminations that made little sense in terms of placement (Becky....whyyyyyyyyy.). Its also a lazy main event that relied more on fanservice moments with NXT stars than actually trying to do a story, opting to travel back to 2003 and have those be the survivors (Braun excluded)

On the plus side, Braun is the top Babyface on Monday Night RAW.
