What sucks about the SS main event was that, you could have the same eliminations, just in different order, with the same guys, and still have a better match than what we got.

Like, here, let my ego try it:

Do the Braun table spot first. Just start the match with everyone murdering ganging up on and murdering Strowman.

Wrestling happens.

Cena eliminates Joe with the Double AA. Hey, somebody has to be eliminated first, and using their own eliminations, Joe going first is just best.

Kurt/Cena happens. Cena gets eliminated via two Angle Slams and a Coup De Grace.

Wrestling Happens. Nakamura goes nuts and beats the shit out of the Finn/HHH/Kurt like a badass.

Braun Strowman Returns. Eliminates Roode and Nakamura with Powerslams.

Orton eliminates Finn Balor, making people think we are getting the start of another "Randy Orton saves the day" stories from SS that he's done before

Sami and Owens come in and beat the shit out of Shane, then go to attack Orton. Owens eats an RKO and a tired Shane with a chair chases off Sami.

Braun takes advantage and pins Orton after a powerslam.

Exhausted and beaten up Shane McMahon is left the last man, as a form of punishment for his massive arrogance in starting this war with stuff like Under Siege and other antics. Kurt takes delight in beating the piss out of Shane and trying to break his ankle.

Trips, showing concern for his battered brother in law, pedigree's Kurt and Shane gets the pin.

Trips reveals his deception, pinning Shane after a pedigree to show he's just fucking with Angle and wants the spotlight and is a dick.

Braun breaks HHH.

Finally Matt Hardy kind of got his gimmick from TNA back. I expect a lot of hilarious trash incoming.

Considering how fast his first promo got trending, what I am wondering is, does WWE have in their hands a potential mainstream thing with Matt Hardy?

I would be already satisfied if they would find something akin to the lawnmower for him, it is the milk truck of the current wrestling era!^^

I am pretty positive that the WWE can write trash, Fashion Files gives me some hope.

Besides, he is a seasoned veteran with several accolades and the brother of Jeff Hardy, someone Vince saw as a main eventer for years and probably still does now. Edge is long gone from the WWE, so Matt should be standing in good grace.

Assuming WWE doesn't "WWE" it up too much and lets Matt have just enough creative freedom to do things his way (but not so much that the show just becomes Matt jerking to himself like we got in TNA with Total Nonstop Deletion), then it could be fun.
