[FWC] "Major" Millie Walker vs. Blossom Fields

Millie hung there for a moment, not reacting as Blossom pulled her into the pinfall. As the ref dropped down she became slightly aware of, though somewhat confused about the situation, muttering something about a rough landing quietly under her breath as her eyes looked over at the striped shirt.

The Brit snapped back to reality once the first hand hit the mat and a shout of "One...!" rang out through the ring. Her eyes snapped into focus and started darting wildly around the ring as she started to struggle against Blossom, squirming rapidly in an attempt to get the out of position.

"Two...!" Another number, another slam of the ref's fist. Millie's struggles became wilder as the Brit tried to break free of the pin. She would kick, flail, and rock from side to side as she did everything in her power to escape. At the very least she was going to make this pin as hard for her Yankee opponent to keep up as possible.

Arched on her back, on her tiptoes, middle straining, arms clasped tight.

Blossom did everything she could to secure the pinfall, poured in every inch of power from every muscle she could find for the effort. On a technical level, there was hardly anything wrong with it. That didn’t mean it was going to work.

While she might’ve been the stronger of the two, Millie was by no means a weakling in her own right. She fought. Hard. Thrashing all about, defying Blossom’s every effort to secure a solid hold for three seconds. Holding her to the one count was easy. Getting her to the two was a challenge. Three was just not happening.

Millie got her shoulders off the mat and rolled to the side, with Blossom rolling along with her. She didn’t let go of the waistlock, though, clasping it tight as she started to stand, forcing her opponent up along with her.

And she couldn't resist the chance to be cheeky. "That better for you?"

Millie gave herself a little satisfied nod as the referee's count stopped, and she found herself on her side along with Blossom. It didn't really matter that she was still in the waistlock for now, she could figure that out in a bit. For now, she was just relieved that their match wasn't going to end quite so soon.

The Brit would allow herself to be pulled up to her feet by Blossom, though she had no intent on making it particularly easy for the American.

Around halfway through the two standing, Millie would essentially ragdoll in her opponent's arms, giving up trying to stand under her own weight, leaning back and forcing the American to handle her as they got up to their feet. She didn't expect this to be effective, especially not against someone as strong as the American, just mildly irritating. It was her very minor revenge for having gotten suplexed several times.

But any appearances of hard feelings vanished the moment that Blossom started to get cheeky. The comment elicited a small laugh from the Brit and brought a faint smile to her lips. "Much," she said simply. "Nice moves. You drink?" She asked, about a moment before throwing an elbow back in an attempt to either knock Blossom off of her, or at least get her to loosen her grip.

Millie wasn’t all that heavy, a fact that Blossom had never been more grateful for until this very moment. Lifting up someone, even when they were cooperating, could be a major problem. Millie was sandbagging her hard, and that might not have even been that big of a deal earlier on, but after three suplexes her body was feeling the toll.

Making her waste time. Making her waste energy. All while Millie gained more of a chance to recover. Smart, she could admit.

It wasn’t going to stop Blossom, though, and she managed to get her foe up, even as a quick quip caught her off guard. ”Huh?” She blinked and paused, confused by the sudden change of tone. ”Drink? Like alcohol?” Her face scrunched up. ”Well, not often, but-”

Millie must not have cared much for the answer, because she gave Blossom an elbow in the face before she could give it. The blow caught the pint-sized powerhouse in the eye, made her let go, and stunned her for a moment while she staggered back.

Blossom's strength never stopped impressing Millie, even with her interference the American had gotten them both up and on their feet like it was nothing, or at least that's how it felt to the Brit. But, it felt like there was at least a small amount of strain there, and that alone made her petty little revenge worth it.

Millie dashed forwards as she felt Blossom's grip give out, scrambling to get out of the American's grapple range. Once she was satisfied the stronger girl couldn't easily get to her, the Brit would turn on her heel to get eyes on her opponent once more, only to find Blossom stunned.

For a moment Millie just stared at her opponent. "You've got skills," she said, finally breaking the silence as she backed up into the ropes, crouching into a running stance. "May I buy you a beer after?"

Not bothering to wait for an answer once more, Millie surged forwards towards Blossom, then leaped into the air, launching her foot forwards as she hoped to kick the American in the face.

Maybe it was just the head trauma, but was Millie actually offering her a beer? That was definitely a first, in more ways than one, and it certainly caught Blossom off guard. The Briton had seemed so serious beforehand, the casual tone was really coming from left field. Not that she was complaining. It was always nice to make new friends, even if she was trying to keep things more professional in the ring these days. And while she did typically avoid alcohol, if it was free…

She snapped out of the stupor and her own thoughts, right on time to see Millie heading towards her. At high speed. With her leg raised.

Oh. Right. Match.

The blow clocked her clean on the face and dropped Blossom flat on the mat, staring up at the sky as stars danced through her vision. While she was the stronger between the two, speed and precision had a great way of narrowing the gaps.

Millie huffed a bit as she landed, stumbling as her feet hit the ground. Adrenaline had a wonderful way of making pain go away, but it also had a nasty habit of fading over time, and she was now really starting to feel the effects of the three suplexes she'd been put through so far in their match.

The Briton took a moment to massage the back of her neck and shoulders as she regained her composure and stalked over to Blossom's prone body. Well, now seemed as good a time as any to try and get in for a pinfall. Millie thought it was probably better if she hurried, she wasn't sure if she could keep this match up for long.

Dropping down, Millie would try to climb on top of Blossom and hold the American down under her weight while grabbing at her opponent's leg.

"Wasn't joking," she would quietly say as she lowered herself down. "Beer?"

Blink. Blink. A quick moment to run her tongue along her teeth, making sure they were all in their proper place. Good. Blink.

Blossom was just starting to regain her senses when Millie moved back on her again, bringing her weight down right on top of her. She was also going for Blossom’s leg, which wouldn’t be a good thing while her shoulders were on the mat. Time to move.

”Oh, sorry, got a little distracted. Kick to the face and all.” While Blossom wasn’t the best multitasker, she tried to squirm around underneath Millie’s weight, attempting to flop onto her side and scoot out from underneath the taller woman. ”Sure, I’m down for it!”

This American was just too much.

Not necessarily for Millie to handle in a match, but her sense of humour was testing the Brit's composure. That last comment had caught her so off guard that she couldn't help but laugh and flash a friendly little smile as she did so. Blossom was reminding Millie of days long gone, back at college, and it was a refreshing change of pace. She really hoped they'd go for that beer.

"Gradely," Millie said, a touch of her native accent slipping through as she struggled to stay on top of Blossom. But it wasn't much use, the force that the Yankee put into her escape was more than what the Brit could put out, and soon Millie found herself on the mat with the American free. "I know a spot."

Without another word, the Brit would start to climb back to her feet, but was noticeably slower than she had been. She was still feeling the aftermath of Blossom's repeated suplexes. Her muscles were currently quite cross with her, and were making no effort to hide that fact.

”Phew!” Blossom blew a sigh of relief as she managed to get out from underneath Millie and back to her feet, resetting things - in a sense, at least. She was still a bit woozy from that kick to the face, but it seemed like her opponent wasn’t doing all that much better, swaying a bit as she rose. They were still on fairly even ground, and it seemed like the match’s end would be coming soon.

Blossom had an idea on how she could end things in a decisive, definitive way. If she could only get behind Millie, just for a second…

She looked over the Briton’s body for a moment, licked her lips, then moved in and ducked down low, reaching out to grab her by the waist and push her back, trying to work her towards the ropes.
