Rematch: Megumi Vs. Seraphim- A decisive battle!

Megumi still lay on the mat even after Sera got off of her. The pain had dulled a bit now to just a dull soreness, but Megumi was still hurting. She slowly flipped over and pushed herself up onto her knees. She looked up at Seraphim. Her eyes were still burning, and her body coursed with newfound energy. She got to her feet surprisingly steadily, not swaying or shaking at all, looking perfectly fine except for the bruises on her body.

"Ready for round two?" Megumi said, raising her hands. She carefully got closer to Seraphim, and when she was close enough would try to hit her with a spinning kick to the side.

She had to admit, Megumi was starting to impress her with this newfound stamina, as if she had found a second wind and was ready to fight some more. It was hard enough to get Seraphim to notice someone's skill, but when Megumi had gotten up after such a beating, the girl certainly earned her respect. For a few moments, Seraphim looked Megumi over, noticing her rooted stand, and how she seemed ready for more, attempting for a second round apparently. It was dangerously beautiful, seeing her opponent take such a stance, getting ready for the fight to continue. Everything about Megumi had brought out an attraction from Seraphim; her oak brown hair swaying when she got up, the sweat lightly trickling down her skin, even the bruises on her body and the way she took on such a determined expression, it was a site to behold.

Seraphim herself had taken her own stand, never dropping her offensive boxing style, her fists still feeling as light as a feather, but as hard and strong as steel, ready to bring the pain. By now her shirt was starting to become drenched in her own sweat, causing the gray fabric to become slightly transparent and reveal her black sports bra slightly, and she occasionally took a few sharp breaths as her crimson eye focused on Megumi, never letting hersel get distracted. Seraphim was certainly feeling a bit of exhaustion, but the pain was as meaningless as a gentle breeze; she ignored it completely and stood forth, ready to bring on the hurt.

When Megumi sent her kick, Seraphim had unleashed another one of her devestating punches, the two nearly trading blows in an instant. Megumi's strike his true, her leg slamming hard into Seraphim's right side. But like an immovable stone, Seraphim once again proved that she couldn't be taken down from a few simple strikes, and fought through the pain like a well oiled machine. Barely even cringing as her eye narrowed, Seraphim let her right fist sail forth, aiming to strike lower and hit her in the upper thigh of that leg before she withdrew herself from the kick.

Megumi's new strength came at a price. She was trying hard to block out all pain and exhaustion from entering her mind. It was a skill she developed long before, but she used it sparingly. Every single time she used it, she got drunk off the sheer freedom of using all her power and feeling no pain, and she always got hurt badly in the end. But this time it was only partial; Megumi felt pain still, but it was very dull, like a persistent thumping.

Her kick struck true, smashing into Sera's side. Megumi was putting every last bit of power her body could squeeze out into her moves now, trying to break that immovable wall that is Seraphim Harmonia. Her kick struck, and it seemed that Sera was hurt, but still she did not fall. Instead Sera launched one of her smashing punches and slammed Megumi's leg hard. Megumi stifled a cry of pain, nearly buckling, but still holding herself up.

"That's gonna be another bruise," Megumi thought. She tightened her fists and decided to play on Sera's weaknesses again, leaping to the side to get in Sera's blind spot and going in for a leg sweep to knock Sera down.

Just keep this up, Seraphim told herself so long as she could keep this fight in a striking match, she'd take Megumi down eventually. The girl was in worse condition than her, but Megumi may have other tricks up her sleeve, so Seraphim stayed careful. She had continued to block off all the pain, her body fortified and her nerves hardened, ready to attempt another strike. Before she did though, Megumi has suddenly dissapeared to her right side.

'Damnit!' By now, Serpahim knew what that meant, Megumi must have shifted to the right or went extremely low, chances were, she went in Seraphim's blind spot; the girl was starting to notice her doing that several times by now. Unable to react in time, Seraphim felt a sweep against her already battered legs, and she lost her balance, collapsing like a steel girder as she reached out. Fortunately since they were so close to the turnbuckle before, Seraphim was able to stop herself from the rope, but she left herself open for only a moment as she was leaning into the rope with both hands, her back facing the girl as she was trying to get back up.

Despite this setback though, it didn't break Seraphim's confidence. In fact, she couldn't hide her grin; excitement filling in her nerves and blood. She loved the challenge this was turning into.

After sweeping Sera down, Megumi was going to follow up with some kind of grappling submission, since those seemed to be Sera's weakness. But Sera didn't fall completely. She grabbed onto the ropes and held herself up. Megumi had to immediatly chance strategies. She decided then and there to show Sera the difference between pro-wrestling and street fighting. She quickly grabbed Sera around the waist before she could properly get up or recover.

"Let me show you something," Megumi said. Heaving backwards as hard as she could, Megumi would slam Sera with a perfectly executed German Suplex.

This.. this was nothing! Seraphim wasn't the type to just go down without a fight, and she'd be damned if she'd get her legs taken out from under her just because of her bad eye. As quickly as she could, Seraphim tried to push herself back up, ready to swing around with the back of her fist. For those few moments though on the ropes, Seraphim took a short few breaths, sweat dripping from her face and falling to the floor outside the ring as she panted a few times. She was feeling the need to push her adrenaline further again, but she needed a few moments to regain her composure, just a few seconds, that was all.

Megumi didn't give Seraphim that chance though as suddenly she felt Megumi's once delicate hands wrap around her waist, and started to pull up and backwards. Seraphim in a panic reached around her arms, thus releasing the ropes, and that was her fatal mistake. "Gah! Let go of meEEE!!!" In her last word of her demand, Serpahim was brought back and she cried out as her crimson eye widened, before suddenly, the back of her skull kissed the canvas, and she was thrown and slammed hard, springing back and rolling back once as she was on her stomach.

The pain was throbbing in the back of her head, and she continued to pant for breath, but once again, Seraphim tried not to let it get to her, slowly trying to push herself up. But it was then that she realized something, as her hand reached for the back of her head. Her eyepatch was shifted, and felt like it wasn't covering her right. On her knees and one hand, Seraphim was shaking, using one hand to frantically scramble and try to fix her black, leather eyepatch before anyone could catch a glance, looking strait down so Megumi couldn't see her face and the unpleasant site of what lied beneath...

Megumi lay on the mat, panting as well. She tried to regain her energy as quickly as she could, for the suplex had taken quite a lot out of her. She hadn't expected the move to be so taxing. But it seemed that Sera wasn't in very good condition either, since she didn't get up and fight back. Megumi rolled over and slowly got up. She saw Sera getting onto her knees, frantically trying to fix something around her head. She wondered what was going on.

"What are you doing?" Megumi asked Sera, confused at what the white-haired girl was trying to do. She noticed that Sera was trying to fix her eyepatch, looking closely and managing to catch a small glimpse of what was beneath.

The pulsing pain in her skull just wouldn't go away now, and it spreaded down her spine and neck after that suplex, making it hard to move the way she really wanted, like she just woke up with an extremely stiff neck. All of this pain, Seraphim still felt she could deal with, she just contantly muttered in the back of her mind how she had worse, and that this was nothing compared to the Hell on Earth she experianced in her life. This was just a controlled fight, one she would remain in control until she brought Megumi down. But despite that, she still fought like her life was on the line, never dropping her fighting aura for a moment, even when she was on the mat again, hands and knees.

What came first though was fixing her eyepatch, realizing she had just briefly revealed what was under it, but doing her best to look down and away so not a damned person could catch even a glimpse. Unfortunately for her, Megumi's prying curiosity got in the way, as she looked down to see what it was, and the site was something horrifying.

On the right side of Seraphim's face where her crimson eye should be was instead a hidious marking. There was a large bulging scar, almost like a scalding burn with viens branching along it like a spiders deadly web. It resembled the side of her eye, and the darkened skin went outwards in a convex shape, and was actually pulsing, the viens and the large shapen scar moving to the rythem of it's own beat, like a heart.

Seraphim immediattley noticed that Megumi looked, and her good eye shrank in horror and anger, rage filling her like venom. "Don't look!!!" Seraphim shouted out, baring her teeth at the girl as she yelled right in her face, furious with Megumi for looking at the hidious mark that she was cursed with as a tear built up in the corner of her good eye.

As quickly as she could, Seraphim slid her patch just to cover it before the crowd could get a good glance, but it didn't release the anger upon her face, as she suddenly sent her fist towards Megumi, even while she was still on her knees. There was a reckless abandon, a dark anger, and a deep pain all colliding, Seraphim unleashed a devestating thrust, sending her fist right at Megumi's face, hardly taking aim as she just wanted to crush the girl's face with a single blow for looking at her like she had. She couldn't allow someone to see her darkest secret without going unpunished. She may have cared about Megumi, but what she did was something Seraphim could just ignore.

Megumi was horrified at what she saw. That terrible scar on Sera's face shocked and disgusted her. She understood why Sera wanted to keep it hidden. She sat on her knees, gaping at what she saw, still in shock. How did that happen? What kind of horrible thing made that? She was entranced, a look of shock and horror on her face.

Sera's loud yell broke her out of that trance. Megumi suddenly saw Sera throwing a wild punch at her. Since she had only gotten onto her knees, the punch came in nearly at eye level. Megumi couldn't block it in time. She took the punch straight in her left eye. The punch knocked her hack, snapping back her head, making her cry out in pain. She fell back onto the mat, both hands covering her eye. Already she could feel a black eye forming.

"Oww," Megumi said, "My eye..."

Why... Why did Megumi have to see that..? Seraphim wanted nothing else but to keep her horrible disfiguration covered, and now, this girl; the person she had so much trouble fighting over her feelings for had seen it. She couldn't beleive it, the one person she never wanted to see this had now taken a view for all it's worth. She wanted Megumi to see her as someone beautiful, someone as pretty as she was... Seraphim knew she could never match the idols remarkable beauty, but now she was probably a monster to the girl. And that was why she couldn't stop herself from letting out such a punch.

"I... I can't beleive you..." Seraphim had gotten to her feet, but her words sounded like she was breaking down, unable to stop the tear that fell from her eye after she adjusted her eyepatch finally, a look of deep sadness and dissapointment on her face, like she was starting to breakdown. "...I didn't... I didn't want you to see... the monster I am." Even as Megumi was injured from her blow, Seraphim was slowly stepping back, holding back a sob as she rubbed her good eye with her wrist, trying to hide the tears. For the moment, Seraphim's fighting spirit was broken... but she didn't know now just how she could view Megumi after what she just did, her emotions becoming a deadly collision that she just couldn't put up with now.
