Even the arrogant champion couldn't help but respect the drive she was showing, though her thoughts were quickly diverted from that as Kim put her back on the defensive.

Minerva was an agile woman, but not entirely quick enough. She started to raise her arms up in defense only for Kim's kick to strike her right in the sternum. The champ winced and grunted at the impact, before a second found her leg. The pain from the blows wasn't crippling, but it did send Minerva reeling back a moment, until her back bumped against the padded turnbuckles in a nearby corner. She wouldn't be there long, but for a few precious seconds, she was cornered. Depending on how Kim played her cards, she just might have a chance to take the fight back to Minerva again.

To say things were going poorly for Kim would, frankly, be a strong understatement. This was the champion she was dealing with here, so she hadn’t been expecting to breeze through it without effort, but she hadn’t thought she would be so easily steamrolled in record time, either, especially after such a strong start. Sure, Minerva wasn’t as fast as her, but when she was capable of dealing more damage with one hit than Kim could do with five, did it really matter?

Things were looking desperate, the worry was starting to set in...and then she landed that lovely blow.

Kim could hardly believe the reaction it got, as she lucked up and sent Minerva’s haughty form reeling. The champion had her back to the corner and the crowd was screaming her way, begging her to take the chance. She appreciated the encouragement, but it was hardly needed - Kim didn’t need to be told to seize an opportunity like this.

Kim dipped down and took off like a bullet, going straight for her target and taking advantage of every second.
