Trying To Break Out (for Highfly)

Melody finally stood up, pulling herself up by the ropes in the corner, and approached Navi to help her up as well.

Alaina answered to Navi that she was alright, despite being sad at losing this.

Getting close to the Amazon, Navi was, suprisingly, first to return the handshake.

"Well, in that regard, that's how I felt when you beat me. But, yeah. Good spar,", she said with a smile. In her head however, she was thinking that one day, without any help from Melody or anyone else, she was going to beat the Amazon, fair and square (or maybe with a trick... or 2)

Melody, of course, remembered that she was the one who ended their match last time, via DQ. But Navi didn't bring that up. Neither should she, though she thought it was quite funny how quickly the relationship between the 3 went from animosity to such good terms since Avalanche.

Once Navi was done with her handshake, Melody also shook Alaina's hand: "Maybe we are...but it's a bit too early for us to ask for a rematch of any kind. Or an actual tag match... is your neck ok?", Melody asked with concern. Alaina was hit with Navi's work-in-progress of a dragon suplex, and then a spike tombstone piledriver. She hoped that the 2 moves didn't leave any lasting damage.

Alaina smiled and winked at Navi. "We have yet ton wrestle and have a definitive winner so whenever ya want that rematch let me know. Maybe falls should count anywhere just in case huh?" Alaina added with a pat on the back.

She turned to Melody and grinned. " Same goes for you I am up for a match whenever and I know Julia is too. Hell, I could tag with Peggy if ya wanted me to she would love to fight and she has a slump she wants to end too." Alaina added. Her mood soured a bit thinking of her recent losses to women like Akiha, Lea and such.

Alaina's pride still hurt like hell and it was only going to be cured with a big win.

Navi would think to the falls count anywhere suggesstion, but then immidiately thought better of it. For now at least.

"Keep that idea in mind. And get out of that slump by the time the rematch happens. Once I am ready, the result of the match might disappoint you", Navi would say with a smirk on her face.

When Alaina spoke of a possible tag match, however, both Melody and Navi thought for a second.

"Hmm...us vs Sonic Boom? That seems like a good idea for a match...especially since we wanted to go out more actively as a tag team", Melody would say.

"Although...who is Peggy? Feels like I heard that name before", Navi would ask.

Alaina a grinned and looked over at Navi. "You aren't the only one improving. I won'the stop until I get that Friction Title and am the undisputed best wrestler to step inside a ring. If ya think I can have that title and lose to anyone you are wrong kid." Alaina said.

She grinned as the women expressed interest in a tag match but took special note of Navi's question. "She is a friend of mine, I help her teain. She is only 20 but has had her share of matches in Friction. She.... is better than her win-loss record auggests." Alaina added the last part carefully but trurhfully speaking of the fact that Peggy had lost many more matches than she had won.

"I think I can relate to that last part...", Melody would say with slight sadness to the last part. She knew she was good, despite currently having only 1 win on her out of the number of matches she had.

Navi didn't have too much problem with her record, however, her gears in her head started turning once again.

"If she's training her...hmm, I would think...roughly our level? So maybe..."

"Do you know the nearest time when you and Peggy will be free?"

Melody looked at Navi with confusion: "Where are you going with this?"

"Exactly where you are thinking", she would reply with a smirk.

Alaina pat Melody on the back and smiled.  "You are gonna do great.  We will both snap out of our slumps and then meet up again in the ring."  Alaina said with a wink.


Her eyebrow raised as Navi spoke up again.  Alaina was also grinning herself.  "I can call her right now to find out.  She doesn't have any matches coming up just training.  What exactly do ya have in mind Navi?"

Melody smiled towards Alaina's comment. Navi, however, started to explain:

"How about, me and Melody will fight you and Peggy. We wanted to get into the tag scene here. And this spar was great, but nothing can replicate a real match feel like...well, a real match."

"Hmm... that seems like a good idea...I am guessing Peggy is very good if you are training her...what do you say, Alaina?"

Alaina was silent for a few seconds looking good the two over.  She was intrigued and eager to see these two women grow even if she thought they were biting off more than they could chew.

"Peggy is good but learning.  I am up for the match though. As long as you guys are.  I just hope ya don't mind me beating you again."

Navi chuckled at Alaina's boast: "It's a date then!"

With the gauntlet officially thrown by Navi and Alaina accepting it, the tag match between the 2 teams was almost made official.

"So... Alaina, are you doing anything right now?", Melody would ask

Neither her nor Navi had any plans for later in the day, and both were incredibly tired from the spar to even think of further training.

Alaina thought about this one for a second. "Later I need to do some conditioning and such. If I am gonna snap out of it against women like Gwendolyn and face the likes of Cecilia I need to do much better in the ring than you just saw. Smarter, faster, stronger and less garbage weight." Alaina said almost in a resigned tone, slapping her leg and flexing an arm envisioning that she could always be just a bit better.

She had to be from here on out.

"For now though I am down to do something if you two would let me join ya. I just need to shower and change though... essentially being sweaty and wearing little more than a tiger stripe bikini wouldn't go over well huh?"
