Akiha Kosha Versus Adrian Kytes [FWC]

Akiha was now going to be facing what she considered to be one of the best wrestlers in AFW, Adrian Kytes.  That being said, Akiha was looking forward to the match as she eagerly wanted to face her.  The crimson hair wrestler loved to rumble with the best and she knew that Adrian would probably give her a good match.  That being said, Akiha was planning on coming out on top and showing the world that she wasn't just a tag team specialist but a force to be reckoned with.

Having now finish putting on all gear, she would take her water bottle which was filled with red mist.  She wasn't sure if she was going to need it but it was nice to have and it could prove to be the edge she would need to win.  As they said, better safe than sorry.  Now being prepared for her match, the Japanese wrestler would exit her locker room and make her way just outside the ramp, staying just out of sight and waiting for her music to play.

A moment later her music would start to play out as she would then make her way onto the ramp.  Akiha would be given the usually greeting, plenty of boos as the audience hated her.  Though she would still give a few waves as she carried her bottle with her.  Making her way into the ring, the Japanese wrestler would climb on top of the steel steps before entering in between the middle and top rope.  She would then make her way to her corner and place the bottle down before then climbing on top of the turnbuckle and raising her hands in the air.  She would then jump down and lean on the corner with each of her arms grabbing the top ropes.  The crimson hair crusader now waited for her opponent to show up.

Adrian Kytes was in a bit of a funk. Her first televised match since she got back from Canada and the first in over a year and a half where the former cosplayer was coming out without 5 pounds of metal and leather around her waist or slung over her shoulder. As such, the brunette appeared to be fairly sombre as she made her way down to the ring in contrast with the guitars that made up her entrance music.

Still Adrian had to focus on the task at hand. Akiha was no pushover normally and now as one half of the tag team champions the red haired crusader was on a roll. Slipping in under the ropes and popping up right in the corner, Adrian kept a cool eye on the Japanese wrestler, rolling her neck for a last minute roll up before the bell rung.

The Japanese wrestler watched as her opponent theme music played and as her foreign opponent made her way into the ring. Akiha would keep her eye on her, eager to see the famous wrestler in action. Once Adrian entered the ring, Akiha would give a smirk before making her way towards the center of the ring. “Adrian Kytes, let us give the audience a match they will not forget and may the best lady come out on top. Though I believe everyone knows that this year Japan is going to come out on top of the Friction World Cup.” said Akiha as he offered her hand to be shaken while giving a confident look.

Adrian raised an eyebrow as Akiha offered a hand to shake, the former cosplayer was really unsure what to make of it really. The crimson crusader did have a reputation of being somewhat honorable but somewhat was a word that should always come with it's own set of air quotes when coupled with the big smirk on the Japanese wrestler's face. Not a smile, a smirk. There was a difference.

Turning to the left and right, looking at the crowd as she stepped towards her opponent Adrian simply shrugged her shoulders before trying to take the early advantage with a quick punch to Akiha's head.

Akiha watched and waited for her opponent to shake her hand. Yet instead she would be greeted by a punch right into the face which caused her to step back. “Coward! Then again it is to expected from a foreigner like you.” said Akiha in a mad tone as her opponent had attacked her before the bell rang. Though the match would then start as the bell would now ring.

Not wasting a moment, the Japanese wrestler would now raise her arms and move in, attempting to enter an elbow and collar tie up, that was assuming that Adrian had not followed up with the punch.

"Oh come on!" Adrian counter protested. "A handshake? really? How long do you think I've been doing this?" The former cosplaer asked, sounding offended that punching someone offering a hand was considered a faux pas in wrestling instead of common sense. Adrian had pulled that trick off several times herself, and while it never amounted to more than an initial advantage it was still something she was unwilling to risk against Akiha.

Accepting the lock up as the bell officially rung to start the match, Adrian found herself in the unusual position of having a size, if not a strength advantage and started to push, looking to bully the Japanese wrestler into her corner.

“Most wrestlers accept my handshake. In fact, even most lower class foreigners do so. Guess I thought too highly of you.” said Akiha in an annoyed tone, clearly mad that her opponent even had the audacity to defend her actions. To make matters worse the crowd seemed to be on Adrian side which just angered Akiha more as she knew she was right in this matter.

As the two tied up, Akiha would feel herself being overpowered and was being pushed to the corner. It was clear that Adrian was the stronger of the two but what about her speed. Attempting to use her smaller and possibly faster body, Akiha would attempt to break up the hold and attempt to quickly get behind her opponent. If she could manage to do so, she would try to wrap her arms around Adrian. If she managed to do so, she would attempt to lift her opponent up before falling back, attempting to perform a German suplex.

Adrian let out a low hiss as Akiha slipped behind her just before she got the Japanese red head up against the ropes. Whatever the brunette thought of Ahika as a person for complaining about getting punched in the face, she was quick on the draw and slippery to keep hold of. Adding to the reasons to NOT take the handshake trap Adrian added mentally before reaching out to grab hold of the ropes she had put so much effort into pushing one half of the tag team champions towards.

She had a good feeling of what was coming next and the sudden pull around her stomach only cemented her strategy. Holding tightly onto the top rope as Ahika pulled backwards made Adrian feel like she was being given a reverse bearhug, but it was better than the alternative of being tossed onto her neck "Always with the German after the go behind..." Adrian said through a wince. "Can't you afford to have someone think up something more original to do when you get a waist lock?"

It seemed that Akiha could not go for the German Suplex as her opponent held onto the ropes. “Well what can I say, I do love the classics.” stated Akiha as she took a moment to think about what to do next. She could attempt to push her opponent forward while still holding onto her before trying to roll and go for a pin but Adrian would just simply kick out of it. She needed to do something else in order to gain an advantage for this match.

She decided to go for another tactic, she would still push forward but would let go of her opponent and send her into the ropes. If this worked, the crimson hair crusader would jump in the air and spin her leg, attempting to have her boot hit her opponent right in the face. Technically an illegal move as her opponent was holding onto the ropes but Akiha doubted the referee would disqualify her for doing something like this.

Adrian bounced off the ropes as Akiha changed strategy, twisting to make sure she caught herself against the ropes on the side and back instead of getting a steel cable cord across her chest. Unfortunately for the former cosplayer what she couldn't avoid was catching Ahika's boot on the rebound, bouncing off the ropes straight into the Japanese woman's kickpad across her face, sending her down to the canvas like a stone.
