Which choice best describes your opinion on AFW Championship Belts in general?

"You guys never contact us smaller guys!"
"...Well ok, we try at least, how come you guys never contact any of us if you want to talk so badly?"
...This entire thread feels like talking with my out of town relatives about how we only talk at christmas.

Re: We Should Talk About The Title Scene
While I do agree that the title system in the forum isn't efficient, it has worked for a long time until recently. I've seen, quite a few of the new members, have issue with the title system and I do not think their claim is unwarranted in any way.
I too have noticed what others have but quite frankly I'm not really interested in titles so I'll just leave it at that- although I must admit before anyone else points out that:
"Oh but TW- your character has won a title belt!"
Er well....true....but....I gave it up almost immediately.
Anyways, In my humble opinion I don't think the champion character/player would or should approach anyone for title shots. It is the obligation of the interested party to approach the champion, I think it's a simple formula.
However.....and this is coming from personal experience. What happens....IF....you approach someone and he/she gives you the finger? What happens if you approach someone only to be ignored with any explanation as to the reason of why he/she declines your request?
Personally, this has happened to me 2-3 times (non-title rps though). So what is to be done if a person expresses his/her interest in title matches but the other party just isn't interested in responding or just says no, despite not having alternate plans? What then?
Apologies, if this has been discussed before but there was simply too much text to read- I did read some of it. If it has been discussed before then please do ignore this message.

Mystery Dragon wrote:I mean no offense but your making it sound like it should be written down that people should communicate when really on a forum that should be obvious. We make a notice board because people are reaching out and saying "heres my characters looking for things to do" and can ask people directly for matches, why should asking for titles be any different?
In case this was towards my comment, yeah, it was just a suggesstion. Although, honestly, that's why FAQ exists. There is an issue that constantly seems to pop up between people, you put it there.

Too be blunt and honest, as someone who has had this happen to him...You get over it and move on.
Like, I think thats something people aren't realizing or accepting here.
Yes, you should contact someone if you are interested in facing them...but they have every right to ignore you, or say no to you. Maybe not in a MEAN way, but they can say no.
If I have a belt, and you ask to beat me for that belt, I can say no. No, I have another story/match going on/to do. No, I have other plans. No, I'm not interested.
Also, keep in mind, even if you've "proven yourself" or whatever term we are using, at no point is anyone actually OWED a title or a match or anything. So communicate, open a dialogue, but understand that you could be rejected, it happens, and it might suck, but if it DOES happen, you have to just get over it. It's not the end of the world.

So like...yeah this can happen. I'm pretty sure it's happened to everyone here once or twice. I try to usually reply to everything even if it might take to long, but sometimes stuff just slip through the cracks. Now...what happens then is...either they don't want to do anything, it slipped through the cracks or they just didn't want to say no, i guess. So maybe send another message ? If they still don't answer they might not be the kind of person you want to rp with xD

Well true, I think it is a very bad idea to force people to rp with each other- that much is true.
At the same time HYPOTHETICALLY speaking- what happens if Im an asshole and I get the belt and I shun everyone out there to hog the belt for myself. I can turn around and say "Well there are no rules that I MUST accept a challenge? There is nothing that forces me to defend my title nor should I be forced to defend it?" What I do is I take a bunch of my personal rp buddies and we keep switching the belts and keeping everyone out of it.
What could be the solution then? Hypothetically speaking ofc.

That was actually directed at Winner but I suppose it could apply to your comment as well. Personally I never saw 'communicate' as something that needed to be addressed, like I said before its necessary for being active on here so it just felt obvious.
