Which choice best describes your opinion on AFW Championship Belts in general?

Yep. And up yours for even suggesting change. Despite Kels straight off the bat suggesting a thread where such communication happens.
Nonsense. There's nothing wrong with Winner expressing how he feels >.> It's good he cares.
That being said. A single rule? Probably not but I was going off what you said regarding rules/several rules. I mean, something like 3 months of inactivity and you drop the title, Im not really against because Darius basically wasted everyone's time by being champ for a full year despite being kind of dead.
It's just in my opinion as a person who's been here for a long time and seen rules trying to be implemented. Most folks are usually against it. Im not saying thats right or wrong its just how we are.
Like one time I think we had an issue where everyone thought we were banning Male V Male matches (not yaoi just wrestling in general) and half the site flipped out.
The site's always been down the middle with issues about change.

Re: We Should Talk About The Title Scene
So you're saying because of the traits unique to AFW, it requires no rules on this matter? If so, that's fine. I just feel like I haven't heard your particular opinion on this matter.
It's not so much that it doesn't require such rules, as I don't see how such rules could be implemented in a way that's fair to all parties.
Just as an example, I think back to my run with the 24/7 title. I wasn't given any real direction on what to do with it, wasn't told who I had to have Carmen face or when or anything.
Frankly, I much preferred it that way. I was free to make my own story, choose my opponents, craft something I and the people I worked with enjoyed, and ended it by giving the title to someone I feel was worthy of it, in character and out. That's what the title should be about, I think - the story.
If I'd be railroaded into certain path, I wouldn't have enjoyed it nearly as much, nor would the people I'd work with. If I'm not happy writing, I'm not going to give it my all. That's just nature.
Is it a perfect system? No. But I don't see a better option. The best defense is making sure the belts go to people who will use them, and not just sit on them for months and months without defenses. Aside from that...

Some of the titles do have No 1 contenders, they are just not listed
Friction World - THe new champion was crowned just a few weeks ago
Tag Team Titles - Storyline with them is happening right now (Pride Queens are (seemingly) going to be the No 1 contenders)
Kawaii title - Champion being decided in a Fatal-4-Way match
Entropy - The current champion has an ongoing title defense
Softcore - defended in an elimination chamber match
Tension Hentai - New champion only recently crowned a few weeks ago
24/7 Title - Kelsea said there is a storyline in works for this belt.
So really, it's only 3 titles without a No 1 contender right now, and their players are likely working on stories for them.
Tension World title was recently won back by Clyde

Oh, yeah. That's 4 titles that have storylines and matches being planned for them then.

Agree with this, and Acuya's statement.
AFW is pretty much as freeform as it gets. People like and appreciate that. people like that they have creative freedom with storylines and matches and what direction they go if they get a title and such. Adding in a rule here or there is one thing, but people are going to resist anything that makes them feel like they are being railroaded to go in a certain direction, and lose some of the casual freedom to do what they want, with who they want.

Re: We Should Talk About The Title Scene
So, I'm curious as to why so people think adding a rule, any rule whatsoever, immediately disadvantages anyone. I never said we need 5 rules or 50 rules or that we need to decide on who a title holder must go up against, etc. These are assumptions.
Say you add a rule that says 3 months of inactivity results in a vacated title. Exactly who does this hurt?

I don't think anyone is saying rules are inherently bad. I'd actually be okay with that rule, though I feel 3 months is too short - some people have things like class and school and work that can make things difficult for them at certain periods of the year.

Re: We Should Talk About The Title Scene
An overall consensus kind of seems like a pipe dream at this point. Everyone's opinions seems to vary wildly on this topic, as evidenced by the nearly dead even poll. For all of the people insisting on changes to the title scene, nearly 2/3 of everyone else are either perfectly content with how things are...or don't even see this as an issue worth being discussed. So for Winner claiming that he's representing those who clamor for change, I could easily say the opposite for people who want to stay the course. So using the poll to enforce either argument seems counter productive.
In my opinion, stringent rules or guidelines will only feel like a constrictive burden that hampers what makes AFW enjoyable and worth our writing time. Something that restricts who you can and cannot RP with will be just as likely to be debated to be removed in a year. But to show that I'm not completely close-minded to this, I do think that in the one instance of people sitting on title belts with scant defenses to their name, a rule against that is warranted.
Ideal solutions HAVE been given, you know? They're just not the answer everyone wants to hear. Because it revolves around swallowing your pride and engaging in open communication, which is absolutely a two-way street.
Newer people SHOULD put in the hard work and tiring effort to make compelling characters that catch title holders eyes. They SHOULD make their voices heard to title-holders in as polite a way as possible. And also be prepared to handle rejection respectfully without seeing it as a slight against them or as a selfish act by the title holder.
Older veterans SHOULD be more open-minded to the plights of newer members hoping to build compelling story-lines with a title belt. They SHOULD on occasion dare to venture outside their closed circle of preferred role-players since they were newbies too once who probably got a break from someone else. But as to whether this happens, is entirely up to your own individual capacity to step outside of your own comfort zones, which I know isn't easy. But still worth it.
That's what I've been TRYING to do!!!
