Feeding Time: Mako “The Shark” Vs Shido the Fanboy

Standard Match decided by Pinfall, Submission, or Disqualification!

Shido made his way to the ring. Poor guy has been at AFW for a while now and still doesn't have entrance music. Thankfully, his time there made the crowd familiar enough with him that they did react, giving him a decent amount of cheers as she ran down the ramp from the entrance and dove between the ropes and into the ring. Shido always fought with the crowd in mind. His entertaining moves and willingness to stand up to competition, even in the face of adversity, got him over with the audience over time. And that was an accomplishment for him. He seemed to feed off of that energy, as the Fanboy was definitely full of energy and ready to put on a great show. He waved to the crowd and hopped in a place a bit, eagerly awaiting the chance to compete tonight.



Shido always made sure to research his opponents before his matches, assuming he of knew his opponents beforehand that is. He had seen her name on the match tonight because he was booked to wrestle her, but Mako was unfamiliar to him. The Fanboy had failed to find any previous matches she was involved in or mention of her career in wrestling outside of AFW. Perhaps she was a newly debuting, or maybe she was really good at covering her tracks in her previous forays into wrestling. Either way, Shido was excited. He smiled eagerly and waited patiently for her arrival.

Mako was ready to debut in her first match ever tonight. She was currently in the locker room getting into her black attire, hearing the crowd cheer faintly as her opponent must have made his entrance. “Wait till they get a look at me" she thought to herself while messing with her black and blond hair. This whole thing was a dream come true honestly. Fighting was her favorite thing to do, and to have a career doing it was even better. But as much as it felt like a dream, the shark new this was real. And tonight Mako was going to give her opponent the fight of his life as she began to make her way out of the locker room.

Appearance:

After Shido’s entrance, the crowd was excited to see a match, and they would not have to wait long. Soon the speakers released a sharp woman's scream, followed by music blaring the words, SHARK! ATTACK! WARNING! WARNING! Mako came out from the entrance almost instantly in her black sports bra and shorts. Wearing similarly colored leg guards as well, she ran out as eager to meet the fans with some claps as she went by. Making her way to the ring, Mako would grab the ropes to pull herself up before looking around at the crowd. With a fist shot into the air, the fans would cheer for the hot new competitor, watching as she went through the middle ropes with the music fading away.

Now in the ring Mako would go to her corner to be checked by the referee, taking a look at her opponent as she did so. Shido seemed to have a good bud to her, except for the fact that he was rather short. But Mako wasn’t going to look down on him in any other way than literally, so tonight she would give him her all and expected the same from him. Of course the ref continued to check her tight fitting attire that screamed 'nothing to hide’.

Thinking this woman was just feeling her up at this point she would say, “Hey ref…I got a match here so can we hurry this up?…but we can save what your doing for later if you want…”. The referee girl immediately blushed before finishing up the search and heading over to Shido to do the same most likely. Mako would move out of the corner then, and head to the center of the ring eager to face off against her opponent tonight.

Shido blushed slightly as Mako entered the ring. The lady had a tough look. The tattoos, the hair style, even the leg guards and sports bra. Not to mention that threateningly cool entrance she just made. She received quite the reaction. She was received even more warmly than Shido was, likely due to the theme song and cool outfit.

The Fanboy avoided looking as the ref patted her down. Sure the audience would eat up all the contact that the official was making with Mako, but that didn't mean that Shido had to as well. After the ref decided Mako was good to go, she approached Shido to check him as well.

"Haha, I'm good. I'm good." Shido said as he turned his pockets inside-out. He wore nothing to the ring besides those wrestling trunks and he had a good enough track record. The guy had never cheated before in his career at AFW. Bearing this in mind, the referee let him go. Shido stepped forward to meet his opponent in the center of the ring. He blushed as he extended a hand to her.

"H-hey! Pleasure to meet you! I-I like your outfit and your body art! I'm Shido. Let's be sure to have an amazing match!" Shido said with moderate enthusiasm as he offered a handshake and avoided eye contact. The bell had yet to sound, and Shido wanted to make sure he gave Mako a warm welcome for her debut match before they competed.

Mako watched as the ref didn’t even check Shido, which kinda upset her. Sure he could be on a billboard advertising pillows he looked so kind and harmless, but what did that make her? And yes, she was pretty tough and intimidating, she did her best to look so. But she still had much tighter attire on, she couldn’t hide a weapon with the clothes sticking to her skin like this. Well the ref had looks…so she’d let it slide just this one time.

So when her opponent made his way to meet the shark in the center of the ring, she was ready to start throwing some punches, and delivering kicks. That is until she saw that Shido was blushing as he extended his hand. Not only was he short, but it seemed her opponent was shy as well. This boy could without a doubt be used to advertise pillows.

Not that she cared, though. The shark was here for a fight and being on friendly terms with her opponent wouldn’t harm anything. “The feelings mutual” Mako would say as she took Shido’s hand. "And thanks for noticing...Just don’t stare too long at my body Shido, we’re not in that kind of match”

Mako couldn’t help but tease her opponent a little. Shy boys were just easy prey to get funny reactions from, and she enjoyed getting them all flustered. Getting back on track though, the shark would back up a bit before bringing her arms up in preparation for the bell so that she could be on the offense as soon as she could. “Good luck handsome, you’re gonna need it” she would say, cause as soon as the bell rang for the match to start, she would send a kick right to the center of his chest.

Shido appreciated Mako's reply. He always made an effort to be an honest and kind competitor, and in doing so, he'd always take the time to introduce himself to fellow wrestlers. He'd always gotten reactions of either malice or courtesy - AFW wrestlers he faced tended to fall into one of those two extremes. But Mako wasn't quite so binary and it was refreshing to him to be able to compete with someone more grounded.

Of course, he'd have a hard time voicing any of that in light of how attractive she was. "Haha, yes ma'am!" Shido acknowledged while steadily getting redder and placing a hand behind his head. His opponent was right. It certainly wasn't that type of match. The Shark woman seemed to be ready to get down to business and Shido had to be prepare himself to do the same!

He barely put his guard up in time for the bell. Barely even a second after it rang, the impact of Mako's kick echoed to the crowd sitting in the front row! Shido was forced back a few steps, away from the center of the ring! He had his arms up in the shape of an X. His right forearm was slightly reddened from the impact! "Yikes! If you keep hitting me that hard, I might not be handsome after this match is over..." Shido was more than capable of making a witty comment when he wanted to. Often he did it to bide time. He may have barely blocked that kick, but he'd be lying if he said that it didn't do any damage.

He began to slowly circle the ring, rubbing his arm a bit before making his move, assuming Mako didn't act first. "So I'm gonna assume you're a striker. I don't particularly enjoy fighting strikers. But I'm still gonna try my best." Shido said as he tried to remain focused. He tried to maintain eye contact with Mako, to avoid being distracted by her body.

If his opponent didn't come at it again, Shido would dash in an attempt to lock up with her and show off one of his own strong suits: grappling!

Mako was an eager woman, and when she wanted to do something, she did it as soon as she could. So when the bell rang she sent that kick up at Shido almost instantly. And yet the opponent in front of her managed to bring his arms over his chest and block the blow. That got her attention as well as the fact that the short boy in front of her remained standing. It seemed like Shido was going to give her a challenge after all, which was good since she wasn’t fond of just squashing her opponents.

“Heh don’t worry, I’ll avoid your face…your body’s not going to be so lucky though…” the shark would say, responding to her opponent’s witty comment. For a shy person he did like to talk a lot. Regardless she would begin to circle the ring as Shido did, waiting for a good moment to strike. Mako actually had a habit of circling opponents so it was somewhat odd to see someone else do so before her. Shido asked her if she was a striker then, among other things, to which she responded, “What? I’m not good enough for you?” teasing him of course. “I’m not all strikes Shido, so why don’t you come here and see what else I can do?”

Mako then stopped circling and waited for Shido to make his move. It wouldn’t take long as the boy came at her for a lock up, and the shark was more than happy see what her opponent had. So as she readily locked up with him, once again Shido would surprise her, but this time with his strength. Mako would’ve never thought a boy his size could be so hard to push back, and surprised by his strength at moments she find herself being pushed back slightly. Of course she didn’t wear boots like other wrestlers, but still that was not a good enough excuse for this situation.

Shido seemed to be full of surprises, but Mako was just getting warmed up at this point. So after the surprise of Shido’s strength faded, the shark would try forcing her opponent back, aiming to get him into the corner if possible.

Mako's teasing was welcome, but did take it's toll on her opponent. Shido wasn't the smoothest guy out there and he owned up to this. "O-oh no! I didn't mean it that way! I'm sure you're a competent all around fighter!" he said as the two grappled. Shido's face stayed a shade of red as the two of them got close. It was obvious that he was attracted to her and was fighting with himself to stay completely focused. He tried to give it his all and match Mako's strength. Like her, he also wrestled barefoot and no excuse if it didn't work out in his favor.

And funnily enough, it didn't. Shido tried, but failed to push with everything he had. After a brief struggle, the Fanboy would be slowly pushed back! Upon realizing the disadvantage he was about to face, he finally resolved to act! After using his peripheral vision to see that the two of them were growing closer and closer to the corner, he employ his speed and attempt to go low and move his leg between Mako's!  In doing so, he would hope that his opponent would keep moving forward, and try to use her own force against her by rolling her into a Small Package Pin! If successful, the ref would drop down and begin her count!

"ONE!"

He knew that he wouldn't be able to steal a win like this, but a pin attempt this early in the match would be sure to get the momentum going his way! After his opponent broke the pin, like he anticipated, Shido would get up and say in a shy tone: "Don't be afraid to hold back. You can hit me in the face if you want to. I just want us to try our best.".

Mako knew Shido didn’t mean it that way, he’d be getting stomped on right now if she thought otherwise. She thought it was kinda cute of him to do so, as well as comical considering she wasn’t even serious. But regardless of this, Mako would continue to force her opponent back to the corner, not showing any signs of stopping her advance. That is until the shark felt Shido begin to move his leg between her’s. And before Mako could even realize what was going on, she would find herself rolled up into a small package pin after her opponent had used her power against her.

The ref girl started counting rather quickly and that was terrifying for the shark as she heard the girl shout “One!”. Mako would rather die then get beat this quickly though as she broke out of the Small package Pin with a powerful kick of her legs. Managing to do this before the ref even shouted two, the shark would get to her feet as Shido did the same, saying she could hit him in the face and not to hold back. "Heh of course!" she would say while thinking to herself, Well he asked for it.

Mako would dash back at her opponent to lock up with his shoulders, all while planning to start delivering some knees to her opponent's abs. She would hit him in the face later since the body was an easier target. Honestly, no one had to tell Mako to go full force as she was always up to fight someone without holding back. She had just decided to focus on other areas for the time being. After all, she lived for fighting to the best of her abilities.

Shido was able to pull off his quick pinning maneuver. He thought it might anger the shark. He could feel the authority that she kicked out with! Shido would roll out of the pin and find his way to his feet. He'd quickly try to survey the status of his opponent before seeing Mako quickly charge at him! The tattooed beauty would grab hold of his shoulder and drive a Knee strike into his abdomen, causing him to double over and bend forwards!

"UGH!" He groaned as the first knee connected. Another would come after, followed by another one! The force of each strike against a shorter opponent like himself caused him to be pushed upwards and off his feet! The feel of Mako's leg guards drilling into his gut wasn't pretty but it gave Shido a very good impression of the Shark woman's leg strength. By the time the fourth knee made it's way to him, Shido would be knocked upwards even high then before, and subsequently fall to his hands and knees!

The Fanboy would cough in pain for a moment before commenting. "Alternatively....we could talk about this...I'll start. You have very powerful, very attractive legs, haha." Despite being in pain and in a bad spot, the Fanboy retained his knack for having a mouth, or at least trying to.

Mako was one hell of a striker alright, and each one of those knees she sent straight into Shido’s body proved it. They would send him up, off his feet even, as the shark landed the first three. Then on fourth, and most powerful of the strikes, Mako watched as Shido would go up only to fall on his knees. The fan boy seemed to think he could talk his way out of this, but that was not a possibility with the shark. She didn’t mind talking, she could talk all match long. But Shido did so while completely open to an attack, which was a terrible idea for him to try against her, or anyone most likely. Mako would just have to fix this for him.

“Thank for noticing, and sorry for this.” Mako would say before sending a quick kick right at Shido’s upper chest, most likely making a loud smack as it connected. She wasn’t looking to hurt the fan boy too much in this match, but if he just stays on his knees talking he would be. Besides, other opponents would do much worse, so trying to make him regret doing so would help Shido in the long run.
