Abigail Snow vs Shido the Fanboy

"Breath in. Breath out. Breath in. Breath out," Abigail muttered as she meditated in the Tension locker room. This was gonna be her first match in Tension. This was going to be her first step on a new path, and to conquer her fear of men. Sure she's been successful so far in Friction but she wanted to push herself harder, push herself so she could be stronger and Tension seemed like the perfect place for that. Filled with both powerful female and male wrestlers, she can fight them in order to gain more experience and learn new things. After all, fighting different people can lead to different paths. She heard her name being called by one of the staff members and exited the locker room, taking another deep breath before making her way to the arena entrance.

As she made her way to the entrance, she started having flashbacks of the incident, back on the campus, back in the ring against Touko. She would stop halfway through the hallway, shaking and hugging herself. Was she getting coldfeet now? She couldn't afford to now. She suddenly felt a tap on her shoulder and turned around, seeing Manager.

"Hey. Don't get scared now. You can do this Abigail," Manager said with a smile, "Afterall, you're the Silent Strategist. With a name that cool, you can't lose, heh. Just do your very best." Abigail looked at Manager and blushed slightly and nodded.

"Thanks," Abigail whispered before regaining her confidence and marched on into the Tension Arena, the crowd cheering and whooping for her. Manager smiled as he stayed near the entrance and leaned against the wall and watched from a monitor.

Abigail walked down the ramp, waving to the crowd and smiling, causing some of the fans to fall over from excitement. Abigail would reach the ring and jumped up and landed on the top rope before hopping off, doing a somersault in the air and landed in the center of the ring on both of her feet. The crowd roared in excitement with her gymnastic display as she walked towards her corner and waited for her opponent to show up.

Shido had been on the Tension fighter for some time, now. Surely long enough to be considered a credible opponent known for having a trick or two up his sleeve in most any match up. Shido did his homework and studied up on his opponents well in advance before match ups. And this one would be no different. He'd emerge at the top of the ramp to the tune of no theme song whatsoever. For one reason or another, AFW management never let him have one despite his requests. But at this point, enough members of the crowd were familiar with him to give him a warm welcome and some applause. It wasn't quite as intense or enthusiastic as the praise his opponent got, but it made the young man smile, nonetheless.



Shido made his way down the ramp and hopped up onto the ring apron before grabbing hold of the top rope and pulling on it assist him jump over the ropes and into the ring. He'd land on his feet, near his opponent before addressing her. "Miss Snow, right? I'm familiar with your work in the ring. This will be.....interesting." He said as he began to stretch. The Fanboy had some idea of what to expect in the match, but he knew that wouldn't guarantee him a win. No, Shido knew he'd have to work for it, and he was prepared to do so!

Abigail watched as her opponent enter the arena, no theme playing, which didn't surprise her too much. Her opponent was Shido, the nicknamed "The Fanboy" and just like her, he does research on his opponents before hand, which caused her to blush. That meant he must've saw her match against Touko and the humiliation she had to suffer after the match was over. She would shake her head, "No, you have to stay focused!"

Abigail would watch her opponent as he climbed in and did his stretches. She would bow after his greeting and said, "It is a pleasure to meet you as well. It's honour someone who also studies their opponent before hand. I hope we have a good match." Abigail would straighten herself back up before tipping her white hat and throwing it off the ring. The fans started to cheer as the match went under way and Abigail readied herself.

The fans cheered, Abigail removed her hat, and everyone at the arena seemed ready to have this match commence. All that was really left was for the bell to sound. Shido smiled as Abigail exchanged pleasantries with him. "Oh! That's really cool and coincidental. You already knew this then, but I'm Shido."

"DING! DDING! DING!"

"Oh! Looks like there's the bell. I'd love to talk more, but for now, let's see who devised the better game plan." He said with a smile, alluding to the fact that both wrestlers have likely studied each other long before coming to the ring. Shido would try to start things off. He'd approach Miss Snow with his arms up and tried to lock up with her. If he was able to do so, he'd attempt to quickly wrap his arm around her head for a Side Headlock!

Abigail heard the bell ring and cautiously approached Shido, trying to see what she could do. She saw the Fanboy raising his arms up to lock up and Abigail hesitated for a moment, before accepting it. What caught her completely off guard, which was unusual for her, was Shido's fast movement and how fast he trapped her head in a side headlock! Abigail's eyes widen as she started to panic, her body shivering for a mere second before she calmed herself.

"This is just a match. Just a match. He won't do anything to you," Abigail thought to herself before returning her focus back to her current situation. Bent over and her head trapped under the smaller man's armpit, Abigail quickly considered her options. Bent over, head trapped, arms and legs free, height advantage, all these little information on Abigail's current situation went into account for her counter. And she did all these calculations and planning in mere seconds before coming up with a plan.

Raising one of her hands, she would try to wrap it around the back of Shido's neck and hook him while using her other hand to grab Shido's arm. Breathing in and out, Abigail would use her strength in an attempt to fling Shido upward and over her body for an odd variation of the Brainbuster!

Shido tried to take command of the match early. He locked up with Abigail and quickly transitioned to a Side Headlock. The woman seemed rather on-edge. It was interesting to Shido to find himself in a match with someone that seemed to be more shaken up than he would. He would often find himself subject to the same underhanded tactics that Abigail was so fearful of. He's express some concern as he maintained the hold. "Hey, are you alright? Woah, there!"

He made his inquiry at a bad time. Miss Snow had already formulated her plan of attack! She would transition and wrap an arm around the Fanboy's neck before attempting to lift him into Brainbuster variation! But Shido was no slouch, he was familiar enough with the move to give a quick answer. The young man would hook a foot around Abigail's leg to prevent the Strategist from lifting him and completing the move. He would answer her counter with one of her own and attempt to roll the lady into a Small Package Pin! If he was successful, the ref would begin to count!

"ONE!!!"

Abigail was about to lift Shido up when the boy hooked one of his foot around her leg, preventing her from going any further. Abigail grit her teeth, eyes widening. She cursed at herself for moving so sluggishly. This was definitely not the time for her to freeze up but she started to tremble a bit again when Shido tripped her up, rolling them onto the ground and trapping her into a Small Package Pin!

"TWO!!!" the ref screamed as he slammed the mat. Abigail had to think of something, something fast or she was going to lose! With all her strength, Abigail attempted to rock her body back and forth, and using the momentum to roll backwards. She would try to keep on rolling onto she would be able to hit the rope with her free leg for a rope break.

As the count advanced, Abigail tried to quickly find an out. She rocked her body back and forth a bit and rolled backwards to break the pin and make her way to the ropes, forcing the ref to call for the two of them to separate.

"Oh! Nice move!" Shido complimented his opponent for her quick thinking and choice of escape. He broke contact with Miss Snow and slowly found his way to his feet. The Fanboy would assume a fighting stance and chose to wait for his opponent to ready herself as well so that the bout could continue.

Abigail let out a sigh of relief when she was able to rope break and Shido released his hold on her. Abigail would slowly climb up to her feet, holding onto the top rope for support, breathing heavily and her legs shaking a tiny bit. That was close, far too close. One more literal second and she would've lost the match, she really was on edge.

"Breath in. Breath out. Breath in. Breath out," Abigail thought, her face a little pale. Abigail clenched the rope, "Not now. I can't have one now!" Abigail took another deep breath before recomposing herself, looking back at Shido and decided to go with a different approach. She would raise her fists up and started hopping up and down, right and left, almost as if she was...boxing.

Shido didn't immediately pounce on his opponent. She seemed to in a bit of a panic, chanting or muttering something to keep herself calm. After taking a moment to regain her composure, she'd raise her fists and begin to show off some footwork. People in attendance would question the sudden change in fighting style, and the Fanboy would look at Abigail with a puzzled facial expression.

"H-Hey, are you alright? You know this is a wrestling match, right? Not a boxing match."
