Julia Knight vs Starlight

Kickboxing match: Rounds but fight doesn't end until there's a knockdown for a 10 count.

Well this was a new one in her string of matches. She had some experience in boxing but she wasn't much of a kick boxer and wondered how much that would affect the match. Still she knew that with what experience she did have she still had a chance no matter how good this girl may be. She wasn't being sent to the slaughter. Getting herself ready she headed towards the ring.

as her music hit she appeared on the ramp looking at the crowd that gave her applause and she moved on downward. Looking ready but not quite feeling ready she psyched herself up some more. Entering the ring she did some shadow boxing and threw a kick into her routine to be ready for the match and whoever her opponent was going to be.

Tabitha "Starlight" Aimes was booked for a match that would return her to her roots. The match was simple, Kickboxing with rounds but the match would not end until there was a definitive winner via knockout. An interesting twist since the match could go for a long time or be over in a matter of moments. A knockout could occur at any point from any angle. Nevermind all that now though as it was Starlight's turn to head out to the ring. The time for self doubt and trying to think of all the things that could happen in this match up has past.

Heading down to the ring, Tabitha would wear her training outfit that consisted of a green top and shorts that had a black trim to them. The crowd seemed to razz her a bit as they were certainly expecting her to be wearing her school outfit. This match was not about trying to do anything but knock the opponent out, and Tabby tried to reflect her focus on this by wearing a workout outfit instead of her standard in ring attire for Friction matches. Looking into the ring, Tabby would see that her opponent certainly had some moves as she saw the latter end of a combo along with a kick.

This was going to be a good match and Tabby would look forward to it as she moved through the ropes into the ring.

she heard the cheers while she was shadow boxing and looked up to see Tabitha coming down. She had only gotten a few bits of information about her time here but it showed that she had more experience in this field then she did which would likely mean trouble for her in the case that it came down to the wire. She would need to play it smart if she wanted to win.

As she entered the ring Julia raised her fists and extended them to her opponent to be polite. There was no need to make an enemy of her opponent just because they fought. "Hello miss Aimes. Guess ill be taking you down today." she said with a smile.

"I did not catch your name, the crowd noise drowned it out." Starlight would be at a bit of a disadvantage as she truly did not get the name of her opponent. Hopefully by the time that they touched gloves, her opponent would respond with telling Starlight her name.

"Good luck." Starlight's tone to her reply to the last part with her opponent declaring that she would be the the one winning could be taken a great many ways. Starlight herself was not very arrogant but with her slightly larger opponent being an unknown to her, it was anyone's guess as to how she would take it.

With their pre-match meeting done, Tabby would move back and prepare to get this match started. Wanting to keep her distance at the start, Starlight would try to keep her opponent back by leading out with some feeler jabs and if it came to it throwing in a body kick to keep her opponent away.

Julia looked confused for a second before realizing that she never actually said her name and Tabitha must not have noticed tat part. "Julia is my name." she said as she punched gloves and backed up. Finally read to start the redhead waited out the bell to ring before she moved in to start off the match.

She moved in but was forced back to avoid the jabs directed at her that kept her from getting in too close. Though she kept moving around and set some jabs of her own to try and keep her down as well. As she ducked under totry and get close however she was met with a kick to the body that forced her back again, striking her side her arm went down to rub the bruised spot before her gloves came back up.

Starlight would end up starting to frustrate her opponent who identified herself as Julia. Landing a front kick, Starlight would get Julia to back away and rub her torso. It looked like that shot did some damage.

"Well, you can't take me down like that.." Starlight would remark as she wanted to try getting Julia to engage so that they could see where they stood. It was possibly a fool's errand from Starlight's perspective as she was giving up a decent about of weight to her opponent and it would have made much more sense to stay on the outside and attempt to take Julia down one peg at a time. That was not Starlight's way however so come hell and high water she would try to move forward and capitalize on the damage she had just done to her opponent.

Starlight was going to look to see what Julia had in mind first before letting loose with a straight right hand toward Julia's head. Having the early advantage, Starlight would attempt to try to capitalize on it now.

Julia was never good at being patient even when it was the smartest course of action. She wanted to get in and starting doing damage but Tabitha was keeping her at an annoying distance and eventually she tried to force her way through and paid for it with another painful hit.

Groaning she was forced back and stayed more on the defensive which worked in her favor when she saw Tabitha going for another move, a right that was meant to take her head and forcing Julia to duck. Seeing this as an opportunity she moved in and sent a forward jab aimed for the center of Tabitha's belly to pay her back for the kick.

Starlight would look to follow up but instead was a bit too obvious with her follow up attack. Julia was able to duck under it and land a body blow on Starlight which seemed to bring them to a stand still. Now Starlight was attempting to back away while she acknowledged the clean hit that her opponent just scored. Between the two, they now had both landed a clean shot to the abdomen of their opponents and this might even end up setting the tone for the rest of the match. Starlight wanted to focus on her opponent's body to wear her down over time and then eventually go for the head to score the knockout.

Closing back in toward Julia, Starlight would look to see if she could start working toward getting close so that she could land a series of short punches that were meant to wear Julia down over time.

The punches were able to force her opponent back as she got her abs but Tabitha took the blow in stride which meant that the redhead would need to work harder to force her opponent back. Though she was prepared for that, fights like these were never easy and thus she had to be ready to have some long drawn out fight if it came down to it. She needed to wear Tabitha down and eventually put her down.

As she moved in and Tabitha started to send some punches that Julia let hit her arms as she tried to block and move in for a jab at her face, figuring that and the body to be the best areas to target if she wanted to put Tabitha down. if it hit she would try to follow up with a right hook to the chest.

Starlight was in no rush to keep herself in harm's way. Trying to back off, she would simply try to circle herself around and keep off the ropes if at all possible. Not wanting to give Julia time to measure her up, Starlight would throw a few punches that were meant solely to keep Julia at bay as they were easily absorbed by her guard.

Starlight would get a little complacent however and Julia had made an unexpected move while throwing a jab. Catching Starlight by surprise, Julia would land a right hook to Starlight's ribs that made it underneath of the raised guard for the jab. The punch would stagger Starlight straight back almost into the ropes and Julia would see that she had an opening now to potentially follow up on.

Getting a little desperate now that she had gotten tagged, Starlight would try as best she could to keep Julia away from any follow up by trying to throw a few short front kicks that were designed entirely to repel Julia away from her instead of aiming them to do any real amount of damage back to Julia.
