Seraphim and Minerva

Minerva wasn't surprised by Seraphim's reaction and nodded carefully at the response. She then smiled weakly. "It's ok Sera-San. I know there is a lot inside you. Small steps are the best right?" She tilted her head and smiled a little more cheerfully. "Mine-chan won't pry any more and Sera-San can tell me when she is ready. She doesn't even need to tell me if it is something like this." She nodded again to emphasize her point.

Minerva really seem to be cautious about her words on the subject, and Seraphim really respected that. She could understand her curiousity, but she was glad that the kawaii was able to let the topic go for now; it really wasn't something Seraphim wanted to ever speak about. It still was kind of funny though, that this weak little girl that certainly didn't belong in the ring was helping in putting Seraphim's mind at ease a but, and how the two were connecting on this sort of level. The two were opposites in so many ways, but maybe that was what attracted her a bit, like she was a younger sister she had to take care of.

"That's right, thank you Mine-chan." Seraphim said back with her own grin returning, letting the girl know that she wasn't mad, she couldn't blame the girl for being curious now, could she? Slowly, Seraphim got to her feet finally, and stretched her arms out, putting her chest forth and bending back some as she let out a yawn and letting her back crack a little, trying to loosen up some as she felt a bit tired now. It was getting late, and Minerva probably still needed her rest from the match. "Hey, why don't you take it easy and get some sleep. I'll see you in a few days and we can start some basic training, is that okay? Maybe later you can even meet another student of mine." She said with a little enthuisiasm, trying to put some spirit into the girl as she also brought up Tracy subtley in saying she had another student. It would certainly be two totally different routines, as Tracy was far more skilled than Minerva, but maybe she could try something. After al, Minerva may not have been a fighter, but she could become one, anyone had potential if they really tried, and she wasn't going to give up on the girl.

Minerva smiled and nodded at Seraphim's words. When Seraphim stretched, Minerva couldn't help but do the same. Where Seraphim's stretch was a lioness' yawn, Minerva's was quite the mousey yawn. She curled inward and cupped a paw and let out a squeaky noise. She blushed and looked up with fatigue in her eyes. "Yeah, Mine-chan needs sleep." She then wrapped her arms around Seraphim and hugged her tightly. "Mine-chan is really glad she met Sera-san. I am looking forward to meeting your student and learning from you. I'd like to just hang out sometime too." She then waddled away rubbing her eyes. She turned and looked back with a sleepy grin and waved before leaving.

What a week it had been... Seraphim couldn't even begin to desribe everything she had been through, but for the most part, she was feeling pretty good. That's not to say that she was having troubles, after al, trying to get White Gale started, which would be any day now, was certainly a job and a half, but Seraphim was willing to put in blood, sweat, and tears to make it work. In fact, if she had just a few more helping hands, she would be able to get it off the ground. Today though, today was special, Seraphim had made plans for today that she had been anticipating for some time now, and was ready to go. After all, today, Seraphim got to train with Minerva.

Long since leaving her apartment for the day, Seraphim was currently garbed in a very uniquely designed [url=http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e28/ShadowOfIce/Shadow%20Tatsumi%20Kimiko%20Yomi/Seraphim_Ready_For_Anything.jpg:2b2wdsmi]outfit[/url:2b2wdsmi]; black baggy cargo jeans, a blue sleeveless shirt tucked into that and tied with a belt that had brass knuckles as it's buckle, and a white hoodie that was scorched with red and blue flame designs, helping to bring out the colors of her skin, eyes, and hair, really fitting the average sized girl who had a black, leather patch over her right eye. Some even found it a little striking and caught their eyes as Seraphim passed by along the streets, a few even recognizing her from the AFW, who Seraphim casually told to buzz off. She had other plans today.

The location Seraphim had given Minerva was certainly a place that was unexpected. In fact, the actual address lead to what could only seem like a dark alleyway hidden between two tall, brick apartment buildings. She knew how niave Minerva was, and that she would come here only to realize by the time she was here that it may be the wrong place, but Seraphim had an intention in bringing her here. After all, sometimes the best of places had the most decieving of appearances.

Awaiting for Minerva to come, Seraphim took hold of a gutterpipe against the brick wall and started to climb high, hoping to catch Minerva off guard since she would be out of site, awaiting for the girl as she hung three stories up off the pipe, demonstrating her impressive skills in an urban enviroment.

Minerva had been wandering around for some time trying to find the place where she was supposed to be meeting Seraphim. She had set out early, knowing her sense of direction and had been pacing back and forth trying to figure out if she had been given an incorrect address. Because it was not a school day and they were going to be training, Minerva had decided to forgo her school uni and wore a bright orange track suit that had been specially made. It had a bear embroidered on the chest and a hood that had bear ears on it. The hood was up and it even had a little bear tail on the butt. After another moment she decided to enter the alley. Maybe there was a door there. She stepped into the alley and put her hand to her mouth. "Sera-Saaaan!" She called out as she walked down the alley.

Seraphim had remained in hiding, waiting for Minerva to approach, smiling softly to herself in expectations. She really wanted to spook the girl a little, and have some fun before her harsh training, so she hung from the gutter pipe as long as she could, having a good tenacity in her grip while she awaited for Minerva to arrive. Then, a few moments later she heard the girl shout her name through the alley, and it sparked Seraphim's attention, causing her to look down below.

And damnit, she was wearing the cutest thing she had ever seen~ She really looked like a walking teddy bear, and Seraphim just wanted to glomp her right then and there. Of course... doing so at her height was out of the question, as she instead waited patiently from above. Then finally, when she walked a bit further into the alley, Seraphim slid down from the piping like a pro, leaping near the end as she managed to attempt that glomp she so desperately wanted to give, trying to catch her off guard as Seraphim practically leapt onto the girl and tried to take her into a tight hug. Thinking it through, Seraphim made sure to turn in motion while she leapt at her, that way of Minerva fell over, Seraphim would be the one who took the force of the fall instead of her.

"Mine-chan!!" She yelled out with joy, an incredably cheerful look in Seraphim's eye as she leapt at her, looking more like an excited child as she did than the tough fighter Minerva knew.

Minerva was about to turn around and try somewhere else when she saw something hurtling towards her from above. She froze instantly with a look of terror in her eyes. She thought her heart stopped but the force that slammed into les was not painful but cuddly and cheerful. She heard her name and the warm embrace of Seraphim and instantly squealed loudly and hugged Seraphim tightly." Sera-Saaaaan!~<3" She chirped excitedly. "Weeee! Sera-San gave me a start but Mine-chan is happy! She has been waiting to see Sera-San all week!" She then wriggled out of the embrace and clapped her hands together and bowed deeply. "Gomen nasai sensei-sama." Her bear ears adorably falling forward to emphasize the apology.

For the brief moment they hugged, Seraphim felt a calmness over her, if only for a moment, before she allowed the girl to step back and give a bow. Hearing how happy she was and how she missed her, it made Seraphim feel a sense of importance, helping to boost her self-esteem a little as she almost chuckled a little at that. But that attitude changed a bit when suddenly, Minerva gave a bow towards her, causing Seraphim to blink a few times, faintly blushing as well. It was certainly a first.. not even Tracy did that when they trained. At least not often enough anyway. And that beat hoodie she had? God that was the most adorable thing she ever saw~!

"H-Hey, it's alright, take it easy, no need to bow." Seraphim said with a nervous laugh as she rubbed the back of her head and grinned a cheesy little smile. Once again, Seraphim was spekaing like her normal self, and not in the more respective, Japanese manner that Minerva always did. She found it cute, but Seraphim was always more laid back, and just liked being herself, just as she encouraged everyone else to be.

"So, are you ready for today? It's going to be a long day but, I think you'll really get some good training. We're going to focus more on things like stamina, speed, and strength before we build up your technique, how's that sound?" You need to crawl before you walk, and walk before you run, as they say. And before Minerva could ever learn to throw an effective punch, she needed to make sure they didn't lack any power in them like she had. There was no sense in making an attack that was well aimed an executed if it felt as weak as a pebble getting thrown.

Minerva looked up when Seraphim reassured her and grinned when she saw the cheesy smile. She covered up her mouth as a giggle escaped her. She quickly got back on track and lowered her head. "Mine-chan is ashamed. She was weak during her last match and is ready to become stronger. " She then pumped her fist and looked up with determination. "Yosh! That is why she brought her Kuma-sama approved super awesome training armor! Kyaa!" She did her best air punch and nodded to Seraphim. The bear ears on her outfit seemed to spring to life as well.

Ashamed? Well, at least she realizes her weakness, and is willing to change that. Then again, if Minerva chose to give up, she wouldn't really be here right now, would she? It made Seraphim feel a bit proud to have someone training under her. First Tracy, and now Minerva? It was as if she was making this a side job for herself now, and yet the only payment she recieved was their gratitude and a smile. Actually, with Tracy, Seraphim actually lost any payment, since she ended up supplying the girl with food and pretty much took her in for now. Minerva though, even if she wasn't a fighter, she at least could take care of herself on some level, and really knew how to make other people feel good about themselves.

"Haha, now that's the spirit. First thing's first, we're going to run for awhile. You need to build up some cardio and endurance, the longer you can run, the more you can exhert yourself in a match, okay?" And without even waiting for a responce, Seraphim started to go, starting off slow as she motioned for Minerva to run with her, and she made her way out of the alley. For now, Seraphim would take it at a casual pace, wanting to set her own with Minerva's. The way Seraphim ran though, she looked like she could have done it all day, looking more like an athlete rather than most typical girls in the way she ran, looking back to see how Minerva was going to be when they began.
