Julia Rogers vs. Valley Doll II - Try Again

Valley asked for it, and oh boy, did she get it.

Initially, she might’ve had some notion of dodging the kick, but she quickly found out she was far too winded for such an effort and Julia was coming in too fast with her thunderous kick. The first kick might as well have been a love tap. This one was going to hurt.

And it did, crashing into her chest with blinding speed and crushing power. Valley honestly thought getting hit with a chair would’ve felt better, and she’d been hit with enough of those to have some authority on the matter.

The effect was immediate: Valley flopped back to the ground and didn’t lurch back up this time, instead lying flat on her back while she groaned and winced, otherwise unmoving.

The first kick might’ve stung, but this one had some real force behind it. One look at Valley was all the evidence needed to make that clear. The kick blasted her right onto her back, and there was no getting back up after that one.

Julia couldn’t help but smile. It wasn’t often she got as much enjoyment from a simple kick as she did from doing some crazy dive off the ropes. But right now she understood how it must’ve felt to kick a game winning goal in a football game.

But she didn’t take any time to savor the feeling. Valley was down again, and it looked like Julia might have a chance to put things away here. So she quickly dropped down to lay over Valley’s chest while reaching out to hook one of her legs, while the ref promptly began to count the pin.

“One...!”

Valley wound up in a position familiar to all wrestlers - laying on her back, staring up at the lights, while an extreme pain tore through her body. The only difference from the usual scenario was that she hadn’t been floored by a finisher or even a signature - she’d been kicked. But it had been one heck of a kick, one that could’ve ended a match.

She was wide open for a pin, and sure enough, that was what happened. Only a moment later, Julia was all over her, and the count began.

”2…!”

The referee had just started to raise her hand for the final count when Valley shot her arm up and broke the pin, saving herself at 2.5. ”Great kick,” She flopped back over to the side, breathing hard as she looked Julia’s way. ”Need a bit more, though.”

Julia grunted in mild frustration as Valley narrowly managed to break the pin. She rolled away from her foe and carefully picked herself back up. The cowgirl’s mind scrambled to figure out what to try next. Her options were considerably fewer than normal.

Though of course, that didn’t worry her in the slightest.

“Ya want more? Ya got it,” she replied, moving toward Valley and reaching out to pull her back up by her hair again. If she could get her foe on her feet again, Julia would then try to whip her off into one of the corners.

With that pin attempt failed, Julia wasn’t one to leave Valley waiting for long - they both were about keeping the flow of the match going, and even though their bodies were starting to feel the fatigue. Valley herself was in condition to fight Julia as she got dragged to her feet and sent off to the ropes.

She did have a little surprise for her friend, though, a move she’d learned just for this match and was ready to bust out. Instead of just going straight to the corner like normal, she ducked down and grabbed the middle turnbuckle ropes, letting the momentum carry her into a flip. For half a second, she wound up doing a handstand on them, perfectly upside down, before she kicked her feet to the left, sprung over the top rope, grabbed it on the way down and ended up on the outside, standing on the apron.

She still hurting quite a bit from the damage Julia had wracked up, but the turnbuckle flip had put her in a unique position, and she was curious to see how her opponent would react...

Even as Julia sent Valley off into the corner, she wasn’t entirely sure how she’d proceed from there. She could try to dash in for a high impact, fast paced attack hopefully before Val could recover. Or, she could move in slow and wear her down while she was cornered. That would be easier on her leg and give it some more time to recover.

As it turned out though, she didn’t get a chance to do either. Valley essentially rolled up the turnbuckles and flipped over to the apron. That was a tactic Julia was hardly unfamiliar with, and she knew she was in dangerous territory. Valley was already close enough that a dive off the ropes was well within the realm of possibility. And Julia probably had all of a split second to decide what to do about it.

Deciding on a preemptive approach, Julia took off and ran as fast as she could given the injury to her leg. The cowgirl hoped she could make it to Valley in time to stop whatever idea might be running through her head.

Here she came.

As Julia came towards her, Valley took note of the leg - still bothering her, no question. Not as much as Valley would’ve liked, but enough that she could think up some interesting ways to work it to her advantage. Just had to be smart about things. On that note…

Valley leaned on the ropes, not needing to fake how much she was still hurting, but when Julia was in range she went into action. Instead of going for something high-risk, she ducked down, yanked on the bottom rope and pulled her upper body into the ring like a piston, trying to hit the cowgirl in the stomach with her shooting shoulder.

It almost felt to Julia as if she’d be able to make it to Valley in time. And, she almost did. But almost wasn’t good enough. When the distance was closed enough Julia lashed out and threw a forearm strike toward Valley Doll, but found nothing but air, leaving her midsection wide open for the sudden hit she took.

“Ugh!” she gasped as her foe’s shoulder blasted right into her stomach, doubling the cowgirl over and sending her stumbling back. Her bad leg wobbled under the pressure as she stepped down on it harder than she would’ve liked, and it almost buckled under her. Fortunately she kept her balance, but she was still open and vulnerable. Not a place she wanted to be in with Valley right by the ropes.

When Valley landed the shoulder block and sent Julia stumbling back, her first instinct was to jump up and hit her with a springboard move. Something fancy, something flippy, something that would get the crowd cheering.

She pushed that thought away. She had a plan, she was sticking to that plan, and the plan called for her to keep this simple. Go for pins, work on the leg, wear the cowgirl down.

While she was still crouched and grabbing the middle rope, Valley pulled back and yanked herself forward again, this time letting go and sending her flying through the middle and top rope with a slingshot. She flew to Julia’s side while she was doubled over and spun about in mid-air, reaching through her opponent’s legs as she passed. From there, Valley fell on her back, used the momentum to pull the cowgirl over, dumped her flat on her back and turned over, stacking Julia for a pinfall attempt with the schoolboy.

When Julia looked up, she fully expected to see Valley Doll flying through the air at her like a missile. What would it be? A dropkick? Cross body? Maybe a hurricnarana to pay her back for the one she’d pulled moments ago?

The real answer, was none of the above.

Julia saw no trace of Val as she looked up, but it didn’t take her long to find the girl. She felt a hand snag around her leg while a sudden force yanked her backward. With a sudden yelp the cowgirl went rolling onto her back, with her legs folded over her as Valley rolled her up for a surprise pin attempt!

“One...!”

“Two...!”

Though caught off guard, Julia fortunately was still able to keep her senses about her well enough to jolt a shoulder off the mat before the count could go any further.
