Alicia Wells vs Souko Kawamoto: For Justice
Match Type: Standard
Victory Conditions: Pinfall, KO or Submission
***
Another night in Friction, another match about to begin.
The first wrestler’s identity was confirmed even before the announcer opened her mouth as the arena’s lights cut out without warning, the velvety blackness descending over everything. That drew the fans’ attention for sure. While she might not be many fans’ favourite wrestler, they at least knew that any match featuring Alicia Wells would be one worth seeing.
And that was why, as the light rekindled to reveal the curvaceous amazon stood proudly centre ring, she was greeted with an enthusiastic chorus of booing. Not the apathetic, bored chanting of a crowd who wanted to be watching almost anything else. No, this was the booing of a building full of wrestling fans who knew they were looking at the bad girl, knew that she was brutal in a fight and were more than looking forward to seeing Alicia do her stuff.
Oh, they’d be pleased as punch if she lost but whatever happened they were pretty sure that it’d be a fun match to watch anyway. They might not like her but they couldn’t deny that the big Brit knew her trade exceptionally well for a relative newcomer to Friction.
The one question, as far as the Friction audience was concerned, was just who the Scissor Queen would be matched up against tonight.
That was one that Alicia herself of course knew the answer to, even if she’d never met the woman she’d be fighting before. Her name was Souko Kawamoto, she was Japanese and she’d lost to Kyoko. Oh, the big redhead had watched a number of the matches she could find and thought this could be a fun encounter – so long as it was. At the least, it promised to be interesting.
Either way, as was her wont, Alicia didn’t acknowledge the crowds with anything more than a quick glance. She just held her ground for a moment, let the announcer do her job and then backed up into her corner where she leant casually against the turnbuckle, tugging at her gloves and watching the other fighter’s entrance.

Re: Alicia Wells vs Souko Kawamoto: For Justice
Souko was quite happy with this next fight. Despite the fact that they were both newer fighters, and that Alicia had a far better record than her, Souko was happy to be going up against someone like Alicia. She was tough yes, but Souko had been changing her style as of late, and now she had become a significantly better striker and brawler, more so over her old high flying tendencies. This would be a true test of how far she had come. She would go toe to toe with Alicia take her hits and hit the British Bitch back twice as hard. At least that was how it played out in her head.
After the Brits entrance, Souko followed up quickly, not wanting to drag this out. She simply stormed out onto the stage, music playing as she paced down the ramp, columns of sparks erupting from the ramp every metre she walked forward until she reached the ring. From here, Souko simply jumped up, grabbed the ropes and clambered inside the ring. She would give Alicia a stare before looking away and going into her corner, throwing a few shadows punches to warm her shoulders up. After that she would walk towards the centre of the ring and again just watched Alicia, not saying a word, almost as if she was trying to read her from the inside. Then suddenly and abruptly, Souko would scoff and chuckle.
"Pmmmf, Pathetic. You are simply a good pair of legs with a useless body. No matter i will just have to detach them from you. You don't deserve them" Souko looked at Alicia coldly. She knew she was goading her, but right now it pumped her up. Souko was ready for it. She was ready for her.

Re: Alicia Wells vs Souko Kawamoto: For Justice
Lounging in her corner, Alicia watched Souko’s entrance with every appearance of disinterest. She wasn’t bored by any stretch of the imagination, but she was never one for the showmanship of AFW. The music, the videos, the fireworks – she was increasingly happy with her simple, demonstrative entrance and viewed the showier, louder ones as a necessary but dull prelude to the actual match.
Souko’s was no different, when it came down to it. Nor did the rapid approach, the stare or the shadow boxing intimidate the big redhead. All were things she’d faced before, if not in Friction then in her time doing MMA and kickboxing. The Japanese woman could stare at her all she liked.
So the kickboxer just held her ground up until the point that Souko headed to the middle of the ring, whereupon Alicia would move to join her. Her dark violet eyes matched the other woman’s green gaze stare for stare – with an inch of height and nearly 10 pounds of muscle on Souko, there was no way she was giving ground here.
As for the talking… blah, blah, blah. It brought a cold edge to Alicia’s glare but she made no other response. That said, it was perhaps noticeable to anyone who’d watched her fight that she didn’t offer Souko a handshake before the bell. Instead, she just backed up and waited for the bell to sound.
When it did, the red-haired Amazon would come straight for the Japanese woman, her feet shifting almost soundlessly over the mat as she advanced with a speed that often caught her opponents off guard. As soon as she was in range, one of those ‘good’ legs would snap up in a kick aimed at Souko’s thigh.
A ‘good pair of legs with a useless body’, was she? Well, Alicia didn’t know what bee was buzzing around Souko’s bonnet, but she was going to show just how wrong the other woman was on all counts.

Re: Alicia Wells vs Souko Kawamoto: For Justice
Souko couldn't pretend about being unnerved somewhat by the fact that Alicia seemed to say nothing. It was also apparent at that point to Souko that Alicia had the height advantage. It wasn't a huge advantage, but it was thing more than Souko had currently. Saying nothing, doing nothing but just glare, Alicia went back to her corner. Souko followed suit but in the back of her mind, her pumped up confidence was starting to crack slightly. Was she really ready for this? When the bell rung, Souko was going to step forward and try a test of strength, but just as she took the first few steps forward towards the center of the ring, Alicia had beaten her too it and closed the distance in almost record time.
Souko had never seen someone move that fast or that efficiently in a long time, and it suddenly dawned on her that she may of bitten off more than she could possibly chew. Alicia struck just as fast, lifting her foot off the canvas and hammering Souko's lower thigh, causing her to exhale in pain through gritted teeth. Souko was expecting that though. She was expecting her to be tough in the legs. But Souko knew she had to gain the advantage, she had to take the offensive momentum otherwise she would end up being at Alicia's mercy. To that end, after the successful strike to the Thigh, Souko stood her ground and threw her left fist forward, arcing around to try and land a risky, but potentially nasty left hook to her face. If it worked, Souko would follow up with a right jab at her face, trying to keep up the pressure and teach her a lesson.

Re: Alicia Wells vs Souko Kawamoto: For Justice
Looking at Alicia, it was pretty obvious that she was going to be strong. Tall and well-built as she was, that was pretty much a given, particularly when it came to those deadly legs of hers. But people tended to forget that strong legs had uses besides kicking and squeezing, so her sheer speed often seemed to catch them off guard. Just like it had Souko, who was caught completely flat-footed as the redhead swept in. Her opponent took the kick straight on the thigh, grimacing at the pain that must have shot through the limb.
To her credit, she didn’t back off – let alone back down – at the hit. She stood her ground and fired back almost immediately with a pair of crisp if not perfect punches, both aimed at the face.
The first shot, the left hook, hit a crisp, professionally executed block as Alicia parried it with her own arm, sending Souko’s blow into nowhere. The second, the jab, caught her; it snapped the amazon’s head back and she rocked back a step. But no more and Alicia refused to be bullied. Before the Japanese woman could capitalise, she snapped one leg up, looking to bury her boot into her opponent’s belly with breath-taking force. She had no interest whatsoever in letting the other woman build any momentum here, particularly not so early in the match, and she didn’t see what she’d have any problem in keeping that momentum firmly on her side.
If Souko wanted to stand around, trading strikes with a kickboxer with ten years of experiences, Alicia was plenty happy to oblige.
But she was going to lose.

Re: Alicia Wells vs Souko Kawamoto: For Justice
Many people would have said that going toe to toe in a striking match with a woman like Alicia was suicide. But that was exactly why Souko was doing it. Alicia had the experience and the power, but Souko had trained hard over the past few months and she was determined to show to everyone that she was capable of fighting with the best of them. Souko couldn't help but be slightly frustrated at the way Alicia blocked her first strike like it was nothing at all. The crowd was expecting it though. It seemed they already knew what was happening. After the way she blocked the first strike, Souko had resigned herself to believing that the second would result in a similar fate, but by some pure sheer luck it seemed that her punch had hit, smashing into the womans face and sending her back a single step. The fight was still fresh though. One step was good enough for now.
Souko was going to go in for the attack but she wasn't that stupid. She still knew that Alicia was more than fresh, and that she was going to strike back as quickly as she could. Eager to try and stop Souko from getting anywhere. That was why she wasn't surprised to see Alicia attack. Souko was even right in predicted it was a kick attack. Though that wasn't exactly hard to figure out given the distance between the two of them. The plus side however was that Souko was ready for her. She reached out with her hands and grabbed onto the foot and ankle of Alicia, stopping her strike in its tracks.Though stopping the foot from finding her stomach, required alot of force in her arms, her biceps feeling as hot as car engine trying to exert the force needed to stop the attack. But now, Souko had the advantage. She had Alicia in a compromising position and now had the ability to dictate the match. Souko could take this fight to the ground, but fighting against a 'scissor queen' Didn't sound appealing when you compared it to Souko's own ground fighting ability. Instead, Souko raised her elbow and bought it down on Alicia's Shin.Souko would grunt from the force and pain in her elbow from the impact, but she was hoping that Alicia would be worse off.
With now time to spare, Souko let go of the leg and charged forward, trying to keep that guard catching going and landing a few more hits; she raised her boxing style guard up and threw another combo of two jabs at her face, eager to try and prove to Alicia that she wasn't going to back down just because she used to be a kickboxer.

Re: Alicia Wells vs Souko Kawamoto: For Justice
Alicia’d gone into this match under the impression that Souko favoured a high flying type of style but, so far, the Japanese woman was proving more of a brawler. Not unskilled but keeping it simple, up-close and personal. Not that she was complaining but she was rapidly having to re-evaluate what she was up against.
The fate of her kick was a case in point. Having seen off one punch, shaken off the second and gone back on the attack, the kickboxer had anticipated landing that hit.
She didn’t. Instead, Souko was just able to stop it, though the visible trembling in her limbs made it clear it’d been a very near thing.
Alicia went to yank it free but took a knee to the shin before she could, a gasp escaping her as hot pain shot up and down her calf.
Souko released her and the redhead staggered a step back, hissing as she put weight on the abused limb. One hit like that hurt but wouldn’t really impact her lower body long term. Too many though and that would change. But she wasn’t given more than a heartbeat to think before she was back under attack.
With no time to do anything else, Alicia stood her ground, her own arms up high. As Souko came in fast, she waited, eyes narrow with concentration – timing would be everything here. This time, she took both the jabs against her guarding forearms, grunting at the impacts but better to do that than another shot to the head.
As soon as she did, the big redhead pivoted, snapping her uninjured limb up in a strike meant to slam her knee into the soft spot under Souko’s ribs. Her hands went to clasp behind Souko’s neck, meaning to yank her opponent’s head down with the grip for the second knee to the chin this time as soon as her leg rechambered for the second blow. Knees weren’t Alicia’s specialism in the same way as they were a nak muay’s but she could still deliver them with explosive force at need.

Re: Alicia Wells vs Souko Kawamoto: For Justice
Souko knew that trying to take on a kickboxer in a striking match was a war of attrition that she would eventually lose. She was here to prove a point more so than win, so even if this did end in a small loss for her, as long as she could show the world she was more than capable of rearranging someones face with strikes she was happy. Well as happy as you could be when you lose.
It started off rather well, she had successfully managed to grab onto Alicia's leg and even managed to inflict some damage to it. She was supposed to follow up with a nasty combo of strikes to the face. Sadly it seemed as if Alicia was far too focused to allow more than one hit. Both of the punches hit her ironclad guard, leaving Souko in a tricky situation. She had to get her guard up whatever happened however, she couldn't leave herself vulnerable to strikes. Sadly Alicia had other plans. Before Souko could regroup a knee snapped upwards and hit her right below the ribs digging into the soft skin there. Gasping, Souko would bend over, air being forced out of her mouth as the force was far beyond what she was expecting.
Before Souko could recover or even attempt to mount a defence, Alicia was at her again, this time pushing down and priming her for a knee strike to the chin, which hammered home with a loud smack that made people on the front row wince. The impact snapped her head backwards and she fell forwards to hit the mat right infront of Alicia. The impact had been enough to stun her for a brief moment. But in this sort of circumstance, A brief moment was plenty of opportunity to cause major damage.

Re: Alicia Wells vs Souko Kawamoto: For Justice
And that was why playing striking with a kickboxer with the edge in reach, power and experience was a losing proposition. While Souko had started to get some momentum going there and definitely had some moves, Alicia was just that bit more able and that let her turn the tables before the Japanese woman could really get a head of steam going.
And, well, taking shots from legs like those was always going to hurt, whether it was to the belly or – particularly – to the skull. The one-two combo wouldn’t end this match, but it did leave Alicia’s opponent flat on her face.
A shot like that to the head would give anyone cause to pause for a moment, a moment of opportunity that Alicia wasn’t about to let pass by. Moving smoothly from facing Souko’s head to her side, the big redhead went to drop down on the small of her opponent’s back where she’d immediately try to secure Souko’s head and arms. First, the kickboxer went to hook her feet inside the other woman’s calves to keep herself on top. At the same time, she tried to loop one arm between Souko’s right arm and her side, looking to place that hand on her head. Her other hand went to grab at the Japanese woman’s free arm.
It wouldn’t be a submission hold or anything but corralling Souko’s limbs would let her set up something nasty shortly. And it’d give her a moment to shake the last sting from the elbow to her shin.

Re: Alicia Wells vs Souko Kawamoto: For Justice
It seemed that one move had turned into Soukos personal vision of a nightmare for this match. She knew that getting grounded on this match up was going to result in a lot of pain for her. One thing she didn't reveal, or try to at least, was that she had little experience of submission wrestling, relying on strikes and before that, flying like a eagle. Alicia was going to be dangerous the second the fight hits the floor, and it had only taken a few seconds for it to be proven right. Alicia began tugging and pulling at her body parts, weaving their bodies together.
Souko however refused to go quietly. As Alici was pulling and tugging, Souko would pull away, trying to break her hold and escape. However it was useless as very quickly Alicia simply managed to get hold of the limb again and pull her back into place. Souko began to quietly groan, trying to make sure her cries of pain weren't audible to Alicia, she didn't want to give her the satisfaction of knowing how effective her move was. Every now and again, Souko would jerk her body, trying to make it uncomfortable for Alicia to carry this limb crushing move on. However most of the time it resulted in Souko hurting herself as she didn't know how to pull out of a hold like this correctly. So for now, Souko was stuck there, trying to patient hide her pain, and ignoring the throbbing sensation that was building up in her limbs. Alicia would get bored eventually. All she had to do was outlast it.
