Of course she should of expected a change in tactics. She didnt but she should have and now her head was paying the price as it rung while Alicia got into position on top of her. This forced her to go on the defensive to avoid taking any damge to her face.

This alos backfired as Alicia simply abandoned the mount and got on top of her for an armbar. Letting out a breif yelp Kyoko began struggling in the hold while she tried to lock her hands to alleviate some of the pressure to keep her from taking to much to her arm.

While Alicia was able to get her hands on Kyoko’s arm and fall back, that didn’t mean she’d got the armbar just yet. The Japanese woman made the obvious counter, locking her hands together to block her vulnerable arm from being hyperextended out. That wasn’t a real surprise, even if it was disappointing. She’d hoped for an armbar but her own MMA training did at least give her an option – given the positioning and their relative strength, Alicia didn’t think she could just overpower Kyoko to get the armbar.

She could try to boot her in the belly hard enough to shock her into breaking her grip but that didn’t seem profitable either. Belly Queen and all.

Instead, the big redhead went to thread one of her own arms through the gap between Kyoko’s bicep and forearm, keeping it tight to the elbow. Gripping that hand with her other, Alicia went to loop one calf up and over the top of that blocking arm, attempting to get the ankle behind her opposite knee. Basically, if it worked, she’d be figure-fouring Kyoko’s arm. But, with her own arm looped through the elbow to form a fulcrum, that’d leave her applying a biceps slicer compression hold to the Japanese woman instead.

Basically, if Kyoko thought an armbar was bad, this was worse. Compression locks were nasty, nasty things – even though Alicia fully expected her to get out, this ought to make things a lot harder for her opponent going into the fight.

All she could really do was hold on right now and work towards some kind of realese she knew how dangerous could be with a submission hold and wanted to get out as soon as possible but the situation made it diffiuclt as Alicia just decided change her tactics and looped her arm in between hers and then used her legs to form a figure 4 lock on her arm.

Kyoko let out a surpised yelp as the pain increased from the new hold and her arm felt like Alica was trying to tear it off, it wasnt enough to stop her but damn did it hurt. Doing her best to keep her arms locked Kyoko would try to lift Alicia up off the ground so that she coukd bring her back down and hopefully break the hold

Part of the reason why a compression lock of any sort was so nasty was the effect it almost inevitably would have on the joint nearest it. With sufficient force applied for long enough, the hold could literally start pulling the joint apart, risking tears to the muscles and tendons and serious damage.

Not to mention it hurt like hell but the real issue was the long term injuries that could result. Because of that, most people familiar with the hold would tap like fury. It just wasn’t worth the risk. Except Alicia wasn’t fighting people familiar with the hold anymore and, to boot, most Friction wrestlers seemed chronically allergic to the idea even in situations like this.

So Kyoko didn’t tap. Surprising but not shocking. What she did do though caught Alicia entirely off-guard because it was completely counter to everything the kickboxer knew about the way the hold worked. Hefting her weight up like that would just put more pressure on the arm, make it more likely that the biceps slicer would damage something.

As a result, almost instinctively, Alicia eased up – if Kyoko didn’t know the risks, busting her elbow this way wasn’t fair. And then her back slammed down on the canvas, drawing a pained grunt from the big redhead. It wasn’t far enough to really hurt, not given how much there was of her and Kyoko’s lack of leverage, but she still unlocked the hold and rolled away to climb back to her feet.

Falling into a striker’s stance, she waited for Kyoko to stand too.

Kyoko Akan vs Alicia Wells - Page 3 Empty Re: Kyoko Akan vs Alicia Wells

Kyoko was unconcerned with how she got out, submission holds are tedious and she always wanted to just get a fight going not waste time locking and holding her opponent down throughout a match, even if there were usually very smart reasons for doing so such as the need for a breather Kyoko had a select few submission holds in her repertoire and kept it that way with little exceptions. Still she had been in enough to notice the change in pressure that came from Alicia easing up on the hold, since usually lifting someone up in that fashion put more pressure on her it was pretty easy to feel out before she dropped her to the floor. Getting her to let go and Kyoko backed up to comfort her bruised arm, which was definelty going to be feeling the effects of that move for the rest of the match.

Rubbing her arm while watching Alicia get back up to her feet and ready to set up once more. Kyoko didn't care enough to ask why she eased up on her though it was on her mind, she was too busy thinking of a way to take her down to care to much or think on the reason. Instead she just stretched her arm while closing in to face Alicia straight up once more. "Forgot its not just that scissor hold I need to look out for." she said as she continued.

With the end of Alicia’s submission lock, both women backed up – Alicia to get to her feet, Kyoko to nurse her arm before following suit.

In some ways, the redhead was happy the other wrestler had got out. It’d have been really disappointing for the fight to end already, when she knew she hadn’t seen the Japanese fighter’s best. And she was certainly amused that the Belly Queen had made the mistake of assuming that it was only Alicia’s scissors and kicks she needed to watch out for.

Oh no, as she’d just found out, the British amazon had plenty of tricks up her sleeves.

As was her habit, Alicia didn’t answer Kyoko – unless the slasher smirk still twisting her features counted as an answer. Instead, she too was preparing to resume the fight.

That reluctance to just bust Kyoko’s arm wasn’t about to stop her taking advantage of the damage she’d done. She’d be stupid not to and there was a difference between not punishing ignorance and going easy on someone. So, as the Belly Queen closed in, the kickboxer sidestepped around to the side with the wounded limb and went to drive a sharp kick into the arm or Kyoko’s side – whichever she could get.

Once again Alicia chose to be mute once again rather then say anything taunting or even a little banter besides her wicked smile. When they spared before that smile came off more like someone eager to fight and while it still did there was an almost sinister feeling to it now this time around then the way it looked last time. Still it didn't faze her all that much as she moved in to continue the match, its not like it mattered how vicious Alicia was it was clear the girl was prepared to pull out everything she could if it meant she got a challenge and how much she enjoyed doing so.

Closing the distance while her arm was partially hurt was raised slightly lower then her other arm. She knew that it was a likely target for the girl but she couldn't exactly just keep back and let her opponent decide the pace of the match. Still as she tried to lock up and get something else going for her she was quickly cut off by the Scissor Queen jumping off to the side and quickly sending a kick into her bruised arm to further he damage to it. "Ngghh!" she grunted as she backed up and brought her other arm up around where she was kicked. Staring down her opponent when she did so as she backed up to try and plan a counterattack.
