Kyoko Akan vs Alicia Wells

Alicja chose to stay silent and fierce, so Kyoko responded in turn keeping her guard up as the redhead moves in near her. She likey would go back for the legs so her guard was down near there ready for whatever attack she had planned next. She couldnt let Alicia get too much of an advantage or she would be fighting an uphill battle the whole match. As the redhead moved in Kyoko was surpised that she went for her belly as her guard was still ready for a move at her feet but was thankful for the fact it was just a feint and this time her arms were ready to intercept her legs.

Getting her fot this was an interesting role reversal that Kyoko couldnt hide from her lips as a smile formed. From there Kyoko moved in pulling the leg in so she could get close and send a right jab into her opponent's belly. From there she would swing the leg to the side to send Alica off balance as she moved in and tried to get her arms around her for a suplex.

Alicia’s hope had been that Kyoko – not a trained striker in quite the same way as she herself was – wouldn’t think she’d be able to redirect the kick like that. As she’d closed in, she’d seen the low guard and thought that her feint would draw it back up. Except she’d outsmarted herself. Putting a good solid kick into Kyoko’s midriff would have worked fine. Or, if she’d just gone straight for the knee, the sheer power Alicia could bring to bear might well have bashed through the guard hard enough to make it worth her while.

By trying to be tricky about it, the awkward angle of the kick meant that it just glanced off Kyoko’s guard. Or, you know, it would have if the Japanese woman hadn’t taken the opportunity to grab it.

The redhead, it went without saying, could almost certainly have yanked her trapped foot free but she wasn’t given the chance. Balanced on one foot, she didn’t have much chance to stop Kyoko before she was pulled closer. On the plus side for her, the jab at her belly was thoroughly predictable coming from the Belly Queen and she wasn’t just going to allow that one.

On the less good side, Kyoko was definitely the better grappler when they were on their feet. Spun away from the brunette, Alicia found two strong arms wrapping around her body. The kickboxer immediately brought an arm up and went to throw an elbow at Kyoko’s head, hoping to dissuade her from whatever the Japanese wrestler was up to but it was probably too little, too late…

Kyoko could probably count herself lucky on that account, while her stomach coukd have taken the blow aimed for her her leg would been hurt worse by the force she felt, thankfully reduced on the account of the feint but one she could live with since she now had control. Though her punch was rather easily deflected her turning her alund wasnt and Kyoko took the opportunity to get close enough to lift Alicia up for a suplex.

However as she fot her upwards the redhead threw back an elbow that caught her face. while this didnt stop her she was cut off from keeping up the momentum of the move and knocked off balance she drops Alicia rather awkwardly to the floor in a much weaker suplex. From there she tries to get on top of the redhead before she can get up.

Alicia really hadn’t expected the elbow to do any good. It was reflex as much as anything, dredged up in an attempt to stop the loose hug around her waist turning into a full-on bear hug or worse. As it was, she was surprised when it connected and still more surprised when it turned the throw Kyoko had been clearly hefting her up for into…

Well, it was still a suplex but it lacked a good deal of the force that she’d been expecting. It was still no fun at all, Alicia crashing down to the mat hard, but it could have been considerably worse. Groaning and counting her blessings, Alicia rolled onto her back, feeling sore. But she couldn’t linger – Kyoko would only have been dazed for a moment at best and would be looking to capitalise.

Pushing up on her elbows, she was in the process of trying to stand when she instead found the Belly Queen coming down on her. Thinking fast, the redhead went to move back, away from Kyoko. She didn’t think she was fast enough to get away altogether but that wasn’t her plan. What she wanted to do was avoid having the Japanese woman in a mount position astride her, where Kyoko would have the upper hand.

Instead, what she wanted to do was force the other wrestler into her guard. There, Alicia would have more control over her. And it also meant Kyoko would have to put herself right between Alicia’s crushing, deadly thighs.

Could she score a scissors from guard? Well, she was definitely going to try it.

Her suplex wasnt the best but she could tell it still hurtnthe girl fro the sound of the impact betwee her and the matt. She just wished it carried half of the force she put behind it. From there she would try and ove in to take a position up too only fro Alicia to get her guard ip and keep her legs out from under her, getting them around her waist in a guard.

She didnthave to have beena victim of those legs before hand to know that sayying in between them wasnt asmart move even if it was likely Alica could get a proper hold on so instead she directed her attacks at her opponets leg. Driving her elbow into her left leg she would then hook her leg and try to stand up then turn her around so she could transition it into a boston crab.

Kyoko might have been a long way ahead of Alicia when it came to standing grappling but the kickboxer was no slouch when it came to working on the mat. Despite being slightly stunned, she still managed to work it so that, as the Japanese woman came down, she found herself nestled in between those powerful legs – not a spot any opponent of Alicia’s wanted to be.

Immediately, Alicia automatically went for the scissors from guard, only to find that the Belly Queen wasn’t ready for that yet. And was going to fight back hard.

The elbow to the leg earnt Kyoko a pained hiss from the redhead but Alicia wasn’t done yet. And, suplex or not, she wasn’t just about to let herself be put in another Boston Crab. Feeling Kyoko grab at one leg, the British woman simply went to hook her free leg behind the Belly Queen’s knee as well as looking to wrap an arm around her neck. Kyoko would still have a hold on one leg but, if she couldn’t stand up, she couldn’t apply the Boston Crab.

That would give Alicia a moment to work out where to go from there.

Meanwhile, with her free hand, she’d start trying to drive short, sharp punches into Kyoko’s ribs and the soft side of her abdomen, looking for the liver or kidney. Abs of steel or not, they didn’t go all the way around and a good hit to the right spot would still give Kyoko major problems.

Kyoko tried to get her opponent up when the gilr wrapped her legs around so she couldnt get a hold on and then she frabbed her head to bring her in close. It seemed that Alica just refused to be still for just a second or let her get back up despite her efforts, in fact Alica seemed to be playing the long game of trying to keep her down and wear her out. From there Alica began peppering her back and sides with punches in an effort to take out her back.

Luckily since Kyoko couldn't get ahold of her leg that meant she still had a hand to spare. With it she pushed forward and began digging punches of her own into Alicia's belly trying to wind the gilr and make her let go. She wasnt sure if her strikes were up to par with Alicia's but she did know her best chance right now was to weaken the hold if she could outlast her barrage.

On the plus side, no Boston Crab and she’d kept Kyoko all wrapped up nice and tight. On the negative side, this wasn’t a punching war she was sure she’d win. Alicia’s core muscles were tight and solid like the rest of her, honed by a lifetime of kicks and her other sports. But she’d never claim to have abs of steel and the flipside of that was she needed those muscles loose and lithe to throw her kicks and power her scissors.

Ok, if she caught the Belly Queen in the liver or kidney, she’d got this. But that was a big if and a risky plan to rely on.

Each woman kept on throwing punches, Alicia into Kyoko’s back and side, Kyoko into the redhead’s belly.

Neither had a great angle, neither had much room to work with. Alicia had the edge in skill, maybe, but she was also aiming for a smaller target and each blow to her midriff knocked a little more wind out of her. Sooner or later, she’d be in trouble. She hadn’t intended this to be a long term plan and it was showing.

The best way she could see this one ending was in mutually assured destruction and that was a mug’s game. Alicia didn’t have any interest in just lying here and hoping to get lucky while Kyoko battered at her midriff.

Gritting her teeth, she snapped her head forward, going for a quick headbutt in the hopes of disorientating Kyoko. If she could manage it, Alicia would go to roll them over and scoot up so that, instead of having the Japanese woman trapped in a weird pseudo-guard, she’d be on top of her and much further up her chest in a high mount position.

That’d make it a lot harder for the Belly Queen to throw those punches as well as setting her up for any number of nasty holds.

This was problematic to say the least, neither girl seemed to be able to get the advantage from here as both just tried to wittle away at each other but neither could really get a direct hit and thus for the most part the teo were at a standstill, while she didnt doubt that she was hurting her Alicia was no pushover. It would take more then this to actually take her down and even then it woukd be awhile before progress was made.

Fortunately or rather unfortunately Alicia changed things up as she brought her head forward and bashed her own with it. Kyoko yelped as shes knocked back a little and it gives Alicia time to push off and send her to her back with her on top. Kyoko only had time to get her hands up and block her face before anything happened as she would need time to adjust and recover.

Headbutts were definitely not Alicia’s option of choice. They were banned in MMA for a good reason but, for whatever reason, not in Friction. Although, to be fair, far worse things weren’t banned in Friction so what did she know? And clearly Kyoko hadn’t been expecting it, letting the redhead bash her skull into the Japanese woman’s nose.

It had the desired effect too – if that hurt Alicia, Kyoko reeled back, losing concentration long enough for her to take full advantage. A quick twist, using the grips she had on her opponent, and she’d rolled the Belly Queen over and scooted up into a much better position. No more punches to the belly for one thing, something her abs were definitely grateful for.

She hadn’t really known what she was going for at this point. Maybe a triangle, maybe an arm lock of some sort, but she’d planned to start by softening Kyoko up with a few hits to the face.

Still, with Kyoko’s arms in the way, punches and forearms weren’t the best choice. Instead, Alicia grabbed for one of those blocking limbs and spun to the side. It meant giving up her new found positional advantage, but she went to fall onto her back at a right angle with her legs draped across Kyoko and that arm pulled out with her in an armbar.
