SS 16: Angel Vs. Jessica Wright

Jessica rushed in, lifting her elbow towards Angel, and the Latina couldn't have been happier. Of course the idiot would come charging back towards her. Of course she would do exactly what Angel wanted her to do. It couldn't have been more perfect, and Angel was going to make damn sure she punished Jessica for her mistake.

She waited until Jessica was almost right upon her, until the exact moment the Violet could strike and then the Latina acted. Right before Jessica's elbow could find it's mark, Angel dropped to the side, lashing out with her long legs. She thrust them towards Jessica's own, trying to trip her up with a drop toe hold, and hopefully send her falling flat to her face.

Jessica was thrilled. This felt like it. She couldn't pin down exactly what it was, but the match had reached its zenith. Her body was tired and ached with a thousand pains that Angel had so generously lent her. Her mind was stressed from the thousand hours of preparation she had done to deal with the woman across from her now. Her elbow shot forward.

To find nothing. The look on Jessica's face went from one similar to a lioness to one similar to a sheep. Shock came over her whole body, and time seemed to slow. Her wide eyes began to narrow as Jessica looked for a countermove, but none was to come. Angel had gotten her foot low, and Jessica's own leg had slammed right into it. All of Jessica's momentum was then sent toppling over.

Jessica skidded to a halt a few feet away, head full of pain and heart full of fury. The Violent Violet didn't even want to try to get up. She was too ashamed of her failure. But she pushed through it and began pulling herself together.

Jessica went down hard, just as Angel had hoped and expected her to do. All the pieces were falling into place for the Latina. She just had to keep pushing, and she could finish bringing down the mighty Violet.

As Jessica began to push herself up, Angel climbed to her own feet, slipping around behind Jessica's body. "Here, let me give you a hand, bitch," she whispered to her foe, as she leaned down towards Jessica, sliding her arms around the woman's body. She smirked, and began to tug her upwards, 'helping' pull the woman back to her feet.

Once Jessica was standing, Angel gave her a quick squeeze, holding the brute against her body for a mere instant, before suddenly letting out a loud, deep scream. At the same time, she tried to lift Jessica off of her feet, trying to lean back and throw the woman over herself with a big, sudden German suplex of her own. Jessica wasn't the only one that could toss them around, and Angel was particularly fond of the throw herself. In fact, at the very first Summer Splash, she had drove Akashi of all people into the sand with the move, and the Latina had little doubt that it would be just as effective on Jessica!

Jessica was pulling it together. She had been licked a few times during this fight, but she kept going. The Violent Violet felt that if she could get one blow in, just one, she could use it as a turning point and bury her opponent under an avalanche of power moves. It would only take a little bit, maybe even just a punch, and Jessica would be in the driver's seat for the rest of the match.

But that was not to be. Jessica was aided in her attempt to get up, the help being of course somewhat less than desirable. The unmistakable feeling of panic set it as Angel's arms wrapped around her midsection. Jessica tried to twist out of it but all of her tries to get out of it failed.

In a half second, Jessica went up and over and crashed down to the mat. The Violent Violet had dished out her fair share of these, and knew exactly what it felt like to be on the giving end rather than the receiving one. But it was not her destiny to be handing them out here, so Jessica's arms and legs flew akimbo as she bounced.

Angel didn't bust out her German suplex too much. It was more of a rare move for her, but she couldn't deny the unbelievable rush of joy she felt whenever she used it, whenever she slammed someone into the mat with it. It felt doubly good this time, since it was Jessica that was being crashed into the canvas by the throw.

The former champion sat up after tossing Jessica backwards, flashing a wide, goofy grin at the audience as she started to get back to her feet. She turned to the Violet, and started to move towards her, eyes sparkling with intention as she neared the woman. "Not done with you, chica," she tiredly teased, as she leaned down, grabbing for Jessica's hair with one hand and her arm with the other. She began to pull, yanking and jerking on the woman, trying to pull her back up to her feet again.

Once Jessica was standing, the Latina slipped behind her, moving to slide a leg back around one of Jessica's own. At the same time, she would slide her arm around Jessica, too, trying to work the bigger, brawnier woman into an abdominal stretch. Nothing fancy, nothing complicated, but something she was sure she could keep wearing Jessica down with.

The reverse situation was a lot more comfortable for Jessica. In that situation, Jessica was the one throwing her opponent around. In all her research that she had done, she only saw the German suplex once or twice. When it happened, she was totally unprepared for it. Inwardly, Jessica chided herself for not recognizing that might come, and censured herself further because her miss directly led to that. This was not an ideal situation to be in, and Jessica had enough experience to recognize that something worse was coming soon afterwards.

Sure enough, Angel descended upon her and grabbed her purple hair. Jessica was on her two feet now, but not entirely under her own power and of her own volition. Angel began to try and entwine her for an abdominal stretch, but Jessica was thinking fast. Another submission or two would drain the last bits of strength that Jessica had, and would leave her in prime position to suffer from a knockout blow.

And Jessica would not tolerate that at all. Before she got all her limbs strung up and her body was bent, Jessica tried to snake her arm around Angel's head. From there, she would go for a quick DDT, reversing the submission and countering the move in one quick blow.

When Jessica's arm came up, wrapping around her head, Angel found herself in a state of surprise. She didn't know what was coming, and she couldn't believe that Jessica was trying to stop her, not after what the Violet had been through so far. She quickly tried to finish her hold, trying to tighten her arms around Jessica, but her brief moment of shock and hesitation proved to be her undoing.

Jessica twisted downwards, sending Angel into the match with her out-of-nowhere DDT. Angel let out a shriek, caught completely by surprise, but it was too late to stop Jessica. The Latina was driven into the mat, her limbs uncurling completely from Jessica as the brute dropped her downwards. She struck the canvas, and then went limp, groaning weakly as she tried to comprehend what had just happened.

Jessica was elated. Before she had thought about how she would only need one or two moves to land before she got back into this fight, and that reversal felt like one of them. She had sent her opponent crashing down to the mat with little difficulty and now she was in the driver's seat. It was a place she did not want to give up, not at all.

But how best to capitalize on it... Jessica pondered that question as she stood up. She bent down to pick Angel up. Jessica was intent on throwing her, the only question was how. Then the Violent Violet seized upon an idea- she was going to hit Angel with a move that was uniquely Jessica. She stood Angel up and tried to tuck Angel's head in her armpit. From there it was time to grab her and haul her high in the air.

Fujita Five. Most people called it a delayed vertical suplex, but most people lacked the imagination that Jessica had. She still had the strength to hold the Latina in the air for a few seconds if she could. And if she could, she absolutely would.

It didn't take much effort to pull Angel back to her feet, nor did the Latina resist too much as her head was unceremoniously shoved into Jessica's armpit. She let out a weak, muffled sort of cry, squirming as she reached up, trying to free herself from the Violet's grip, but it was all too late for her to make an escape.

Up into the air she was lifted, her legs kicking at nothing as Jessica held her aloft. She felt the blood rushing down into her head, the Latina starting to feel dizzy as Jessica kept her there, showing off her magnificent power. The long, tiring match had done little to diminish Jessica's strength, and Angel was getting a nasty reminder of that, powerless to save herself as she waited for Jessica to drop her back down again.

Jessica felt a rush. She dropped Angel down with all the fury she could. Power moves as a whole and that move in particular were her absolute favorite by a long shot. The Fujita Five, as she called it, was a total throwback to her Iowa roots. First, in that it took immense strength, which Jessica personally loved to put on display. Secondly, it invoked the furious power of a tornado, the simple name of which summoned images of destruction and chaos from the recesses of the mind. When she was young, the fury of a tornado was imbued in her, and she learned that was something one should respect and fear.

Much the opposite of Angel, whom she neither respected nor feared now. Jessica fist pumped into the air as she let out a guttural yell. The crowd did not like the fact that the favorite had just been slammed pretty horrifically, just as they didn't like Jessica's gloating. But there was nothing they could do about either. Jessica bent down once more. She wanted to bury the Latina under and avalanche of power moves, the likes of which no one could recover from.

The Violent Violet tried to quickly follow up her awesome slam. She tried to pick Angel up and send her flying into one of the corners with a quick Irish whip.
