SS 16 Thunder Round: Akiha Kosha Vs. Gabbie Desjardin Vs. Gwendolyn DuPont Bettencourt Vs. Belinda Northman

Belinda move a hand up to rub her hurting cheek as her vision soon turned to Akiha who was starting to come at her. Things were not looking very good for her, as she had already been kind of distracted by watching what would happen to Gwendolyn and Gabbie, though she had no way to do that at the moment as she instead found herself being put down onto her rear by her rival.

If she wanted any chance in this match she'd have to focus up and be ready for whatever came at her and focus on the person or people in front of her. At the moment it was her long time rival Akiha, she had to make sure to stop Akiha's assault as the raven haired girl came running towards the downed Akiha. Who would attempt to duck to the left and roll out of the way from Akiha's drop kick as her rival came in for one of her usual moves, a lot easier to anticipate and act of instinct than the jumping high-knee.

After rolling out of the way Belinda would attempt to shoot out her leg to try and catch Akiha with a kick to the head while they were both down, that was of course if Akiha hadn't slid too far out of reach after that low drop kick attempt.

Gabbie was glad her push worked. Now Gwendolyn was reeling and she quickly scrambled up to her feet and ran at Gwendolyn. Now that she had her reeling, she could inflict some damage and, hopefully, quickly eliminate the heiress. With a bit of distance between them, Gabbie dashed forward, this time to launch a brutal flying knee at Gwendolyn while she was still in the corner.

"Tch!!" Gwen sucked her teeth from finding herself right where she started after the impertinent shove, only now with a blisteringly irate MMA fighter running her down. Gwen immediately recognized the precariousness of her scenario, cornered and trapped with scant room to maneuver against whatever offensive barrage Gabbie had in store for her. Allowing Gabbie to get an early lead due to those infernal kicks of hers was a situation Gwen was struggling to avoid.

Gwen glared at the Dojo lackey as she made her approach, knowing full well that Gabbie would fall back on her striking capabilities eventually. Once Gabbie sprinted towards her once more, Gwen would boldly step forward and wrap one arm around the crook of Gabbie's lifted leg from her attempted knee strike. With her other arm wrapped around Gabbie's shoulder, Gwen would hug the Dojo lackey uncomfortably close and on one leg as if she were attempting a t-bone suplex.

But rather than attempting the rattling suplex, Gwen would hoist Gabbie up and over the adjacent top rope. The heiress groaning from exertion in the first attempted elimination of the match, a gasping audience clenching their armchairs as the diminutive lackey was sent flying!!

"Well~...I certainly can't say I expected more from her~..." Gwen elegantly enunciated while taking several poised steps away from her corner, exaggeratedly wiping her hands as if she had just disposed of the trash. Gwen held her pompous head high with her eyes closed and self-righteous smile on her face, the heiress not needing to see Gabbie's feet touch the ground to be absolutely confident that she eliminated the rambunctious little bugger~...

Not wasting any time, Akiha got back to her feet quickly intent on building up some momentum. She would charge forward and attempt to hit her rival with a drop kick. Yet just as jumped in the air and started to spread her legs out, getting ready to connect, Belinda would roll out of the way. This would result in the Japanese wrestler hitting nothing but air before she then landed hard on the wrestling mat.

“Ehh.” stated Akiha from the impact as she would then attempt to quickly get back on her feet. Though while getting up she would suddenly be kicked in the head, sending her back down to the ground as she held her head for a moment. As usually Belinda wasn't being a push over, she was able to quickly turn things around but Akiha was far from out and was just getting started. She would attempt to roll a bit, attempting to put a bit of distance between herself and the Northman.

Belinda's luck was still around in spades it seemed as her quick reaction had allowed her to escape from Akiha taking an overly early lead over her. Now it was only a matter to not allow her rival to get a lead at all, instead it was up for Belinda to attempt and stay ahead of her raven haired lover.

After her kick had struck home on Akiha's skull and sent her rival to the ground again, Belinda would straighten herself up on her feet and watch Akiha attempt to create some distance. Nodding her head she mad a conscious decision to stay on her rival, not wanting this match to go the way that their first rematch had.

The young blond would attempt to wait for Akiha to start getting up, before attempting to go in for a run at her opponent and then turn at the final second. Attempting to come in for a hip attack right towards Akiha's pretty face!

Gabbie's eyes widened as her knee not only failed to damage Gwendolyn but she was actually lifted up of the ground and heaved up and over the ropes. Gabbie reached out and caught the top ropes, barely hanging on as her feet hit the apron and she precariously dangled.

Her eyes widened as she fully expected Gwendolyn to follow up and finish her off. However, when Gwendolyn turned around and actually put her back to her, Gabbie sighed inwardly. She was getting back in the match and she was going to make Gwendolyn pay for not finishing her when she had the chance. She was about to step through the ropes when she stopped. She was given an opportunity to wrestle even though she was a boxer. Her strikes served her well, but her limited move set had also been a detriment. She needed to expand her horizens and what better way to do that than on the biggest stage of her career.

Gripping the top rope tightly, Gabbie took a deep breath and jumped. She hit the ropes and felt the tension. Everything felt so shaky but she knew if she thought about it, she would slip.

Leaning forward, she stretched her legs and used the momentum to leap off the top rope. It felt like her heart was about to explode through her chest but as she turned, she coiled in her legs and then shot them out as hard as she could with a flying missile dropkick into the heiress' back. Gabbie couldn't deny, she was scared out of her wits until the moment her feet slammed into the blonde.

Striding out of her corner with a pompous swagger to her step, the highborn aristocrat was already blissfully congratulating herself on having so effortlessly eliminated the pint-sized grappler. In record time, she might add. The reverberating buzz she overheard from the audience were no doubt the simmering groans of disappointment from heartbroken Dojo fans witnessing their chosen representative defeated in so humiliating a fashion and-

*...wait...*

Gwen's prideful march would come to a rigid stop once a creeping sense of nostalgia started shrouding her thoughts, along with fuzzy images of her previous two Summer Splash appearances starting to flash in her subconscious at break neck speed. Not just from her S.S. debut against Tatsuki Le Fleuvre, but also her subsequent match against the cowgirl luchadora Julia Rogers . One recurring theme connecting them together and making the heiress widen her hazel eyes in the split second before the missile dropkick walloped Gwen in her spine to thunderous fanfare!!

"OOOPH!!" Propelled forward from the momentous force behind Gabbie's blindsiding kick, the heiress eventually came to a skidding halt and sprawled out against the canvas. Leaving the egotistic noblewoman bitterly muttering under her breath from the throbbing pain in her back as she lethargically attempted to shuffle back up to her hands and knees. Her record of being nailed by a missile dropkick in every bloody one of her SummerSplash appearances remaining loathsomely intact...

The Japanese wrestler started to get back on her feet when suddenly Belinda came charging towards her before turning at the last second and attempting a hip attack. Akiha face was hit by her rival rear, causing the audience to cheer at the sight. It was both a humiliating move and one that did do some damage. If anyone else had done it, it would have probably sent Akiha into a rage state.

Though the attack hit her, the raven hair wrestler would attempt to wrap her arms around her lover's stomach while Belinda rear was still in her face as Akiha continued to fallback towards the ground. If successful she would turn the hip attack that she had taken into a mighty German suplex, trying to smash Belinda head right on the edge of the ring. Perhaps she could eliminate the young Northman early on.

Belinda came in at break neck speed with a purpose and that was to drive her frame firm rear first right into Akiha's face and cause some serious damage to the girl. She leaped up and drove herself into her rival's face which seemed to have worked perfectly fine!

Though as she came in for that impact she found arms wrapped around her thighs, as Akiha fell backwards from the blow that came from the hip-attack, Belinda felt how she was being pulled along with her rival. She couldn't stop it and was soon pulled back down upper back first into an awkward but painful make-shift german suplex! Belinda body flop against the mat and went up and over onto her front. " Uugh!" She cried out, the surprise having taken away any semblance of trying to brace herself for the hit as she came down with her feet landing just ahead of the ropes.

Her right arm quickly moved up to rub against her back as she arched her head up a bit and placed her chin against the mat so she could look on up at Akiha. Blowing away a few strands of hair with a huff she'd proceed to let out a groan. " ow.."

Gabbie bounced up to her feet after she crashed into the mats. She rubbed her side but felt invincible once she had hit. Her blood was pumping and she felt alive. Her sights remained on Gwendolyn as the heiress scrambled to try and get to her hands and knees, Gabbie was already rushing forward. She aimed a hard, powerful snap kick at Gwendolyn's face which, in retrospect, probably wasn't the best idea if she wanted to get the heiress up and over the top rope. It would be much harder if she was unconscious but Gabbie wasn't thinking. She was acting and doing and she would figure out the details after the fact.
