No Holds Barred Debut! Ronin vs Haru Fujiwara

Haru coughed and dropped the metal stairs with a loud bang when the kendo stick swiftly slammed into his midsection. He took a couple of stumbling steps back as Ronin brandished the practice sword like a samurai, and Haru scoffed as the pretentious dedication to his lone warrior shtick. "Newsflash, AFW already has a loser doing the stoic samurai bit, you're late to the game" Haru taunted with a laugh.

The stairs lay on its side between them, giving Haru a bit of a breather from Ronin. He had a significant reach disadvantage now that Ronin had a weapon, and he didn't want to engage someone who looked like they could use it too. But there was no reason Haru had to play by Ronin's rules either!

With a grin, Haru threw himself under the bottom rope and stood back up in the ring right away. Now they both had an advantage at their disposal, Ronin would have to get back into the ring to use the practice sword and Haru could pounce in that time!

The kendo stick was a complete success. Those stairs clattered to the floor, with him moving forward. He reached out and attempted to strike him a few times with the stick. "Is that so? Well, I'm sure there are plenty of cocky airheads in this federation too, I think you're late to the game as well." Oh look, he actually tried to do some trash talk! The hits stopped coming as soon as he got into the ring, too far away from him.

It was a shame that Haru went into the ring so quickly; he would have enjoyed using those stairs against him. No matter; he was going to take advantage of it somehow. He climbed up the stairs on the other side of the ring, giving him a small smirk from the corner. With one eye on his opponent, he moved the top rope up in order to let him in, still keeping the kendo stick in his grip. Of course, if he managed to get into the ring unmolested, he would immediately move to bounce off the ropes and charge at him -- before veering slightly and using the kendo stick to clothesline him.

A round of 'ooohs' resounded from the audience at the verbal back and forth; the audience was responding well to the banter. To try to counteract Haru's advantage, Ronin went around the long way to the far stairs. Haru tracked him all the way, making slow steps and popping his pecs back and forth. In this scenario Haru fancied himself the predator as Ronin stepped back into the ring, waiting till his head was ducked to spring upon him.

Ronin would doubtless swing the kendo sword but Haru was prepared to accept a blow with his arm and shoulder. What he was really after was the harsh uppercut he was throwing with his right, intent on smashing his pretty little chin and making him see stars.

It was hard not to let the cheering of the audience get to him; being new to the league, he wanted to make sure he remained in the league at the very least. Even if they loved to dislike him; he needed to be in their minds. He managed to catch them off guard with his slow manner of fighting, but he managed to get their attention now. They liked him, slowly.

And there was something about Haru that was catching his attention. He wasn't sure what it was; was it just that he was interested in his fighting? There was a small jolt of excitement that shot through him like lightning every so often when he looked at the other man, and he didn't like it. As he slipped into the ring, he saw his opponent coming for him. As expected, he did land a blow on the man's shoulder; the top, near the joint, with a loud CRACK. However, he also moved forward a bit, so the punch landed on his large pec instead. He responded in turn by quickly bringing his hand up -- and moved to smash his kendo sword into Haru's face.

The kendo stick smacking into his arm wasn't as painful as he was expecting, the sound of impact was much worse than the bite. Haru was disappointed when his fist met squishy pectorals rather than hard chin, but either way he drilled home a hard punch to the man's body. Ronin's kendo hand came up and cracked Haru in the jaw, knocking the man's head back.

Haru stumbles back a few steps, but adrenaline starts to kick in and his head rockets back forward. He lunges forward and grabs Ronin's shoulders, keeping him in place as he viciously headbutts the man to both their detriment.

The punch still hurt, but it was worth it for the blow to Haru's head. It seemed to do a bit of damage, allowing him to take a moment. But it wasn't a long enough moment; he was suddenly grabbed and --

SMACK.

Haru's head head slammed straight into Ronin's, sending him back into the corner! Haru's headbutt was something to be avoided at all costs, Ronin realized vaguely just minutes too late. His hands were around the top ropes to keep himself upright, and the kendo stick had fallen from his hands and clattered to the floor.

His head swam as he tried to look up at Haru, moving slightly to steel himself for Haru coming at him, his legs already beginning to tense. Here's to hoping his reaction speed hadn't suffered.

Haru scowled as his forehead pinged fresh waves of pain and added to the tsunami of a headache he was still nursing. Thankfully Ronin seemed to take the brunt of the damage seeing as how he fell back into the ropes and dropped the kendo stick. Not one to think too many steps ahead, Haru's plan for the moment was still FIGHT, MAIM, KO. What he really needed was a way to down the guy, maybe put him in a submission hold and let his headache subside.

Shaking his head, that would have to wait! Haru growled and charged forward, swinging a bulky arm for a hard pec chop, and followed up by grabbing the back of Ronin's head and thrusting it down to meet his raised knee!

Ronin, on the other hand, was still trying to think several steps ahead. It was his flaw; he constantly needed to think things through, rather than live in the moment, which could be fatal against a brawler like Haru. He could hear Haru approaching, but he was unable to stop the pec chop. The headbutt was a little too much for him to recover so easily from. But he did manage to put his lower legs on the bottom rope for a moment.

As Haru grabbed for his head, Ronin went for a tricky maneuver. He tried to use his upper body strength to pull himself up, letting his legs swing up and try to latch around Haru's head and arm and clamp down on them tight. It would look beautiful if he did it right, and horrible if he failed miserably. But if he succeeded, he might even be able to push off from the ropes and send Haru down to the mats, face clamped in that tight headscissor and just inches away from his crotch. Which appeared to be showing a little bit of his excitement from the match.

Haru's arm swung into Ronin's chest with a mighty THWACK, making the muscle bounce and the crowd cheer at the loud sounding impact. His fingers yanked Ronin's head down, but the man had other ideas as he swung his legs up and latched on to Haru's shoulders. It was a sort of hurricanrana type move that swung Haru down to the floor.

His hands gripped at Ronin's thighs as he squeezed Haru's head like a watermelon in a vicegrip. He grunted as he brought his knees up under himself to get better control of the situation. He glared at Ronin for the comprising hold, he probably knew exactly what he was doing as well.

"Bastard" Haru growled as he rose his fist into the air and started to pound on Ronin's abs.

There was a brief moment in his head as he realized that the move had actually landed; from the silence of the audience, it was clear that they weren't thinking it would either. But they erupted into cheers soon after. It wasn't often they got to see a big guy like Ronin perform a hurricanrana-like move against a guy as big as him. Another move that probably wouldn't work again, but it was good enough to get him out of the corner.

He cranked that hold on, pressing against him in order to smother him; he had a vague idea of the sexual implications, but he tried to push them out of his head. However, just spending the time thinking about them left him open for the gutbashing; he growled lightly, grabbing at Haru's hair and yanking him, totally accidentally, more into his crotch. He shifted, squeezing at his head as much as he could -- before trying to reach around and land a punch on Haru's balls.
