Animalistic Tendencies W/ Shido vs The United Kingdom Elite

Match Rules: 6 man tag. Victory is achieved via pinfall or submission.

This was it, first real 6 man tag match that the UK Elite had ever been in. It was history in the making, Ryan had put this in his mind. History was going to remember this when they documented the careers of him and his friends, a great event. Juniper had been the first to challenge the Tension tag champs in their first real title defence with Nick, the pair lost. This was feeling like a full circle sort of affair. No matter.

Mr Knight removed the top part of his outfit while looking at the enemy, in the sort of manner that made it look as if he lowered himself just to compete. He then neatly folded the attire and placed it under the bottom turnbuckle. Ryan then looked to his teammates, Nick wasn't in this fight. A shame as it would have helped tilt the odds in the favour of Britain's finest.

"So boss. How we going about with this?" John muttered as he eyed the opposition, Sabre and Shido were unknown. Well Sabre was, Shido was in Tension and nothing went on in the Tension ring without the UK Elite hearing or seeing it. He was still not really known however. In contrast the UK Elite were known by just about every fan of Tension who followed social media.

The paragon of Britain smiled and said "Okay, I suggest that John you go in first. Whittle the enemy down with your holds, but don't put yourself into too much danger. Go for it my friend."

John nodded, Lucy was being oddly silent. She was looking at the enemy and leaning on the ropes, since the new year Lucy was taking things more seriously. In light of her W/L record in comparison, she was going to be a bit different from now on.

Mr Carnaby would enter the ring, with Ryan standing at the apron with Lucy. The artist did some light stretching, usually Ryan went first against the opposition. But in the new year they'd been doing some new tactics, just in case people developed ways to counter the tried and tested ones.

"Right, the boss says you need to lose. Try not to take this personally, or do if you want. Doesn't matter to me." John stated plainly to the enemy before getting into his stance, he knew what was on the line. Even if the belts weren't, there was still history in the making.

Nick talked to the three of them from outside of the ring. "Look, I understand that Juniper and Miss Sabre are very well endowed with strength. But they dont have an advantage that Shido does." He pauses to look at the other man. "Youre still somewhat new. You havent been in the ring much, meaning that the UKE dont know your strengths and weaknesses."

In their first encounter with the UKE, Nick had almost that same advantage. He was able to catch Ryan off guard with his strikes. Sabre crossed her arms and shook her head. "What about me?" Nick had to carefully explain that it was to be assumed that it was easy to see she was a powerhouse like Juniper. Still garnered a growl from the cave woman.

"But look, Im not the one in this fight. I can really only tell you to be careful. I know these three cover all of their bases. And you all dont exactly do that..." Nick warns. Looking to a surprisingly quiet Juniper, he asks her: "Who's going in first?"

The redhead had a serious look on her face. She hd been waiting for this fight. Even if she lost, she was sure to gain much notoriety for this. But she was going to make sure that they wouldnt lose. "I dont know about tue two of you, but I'm gonna play as dirty as legally possible..."

Juniper looks to Shido. "Go in there and show them what youre worth, and why you arent to be taken lightly."

Shido kept up a calm demeanor. He understood the gravity and importance of a match against the tag champs, especially for a guy as new as he was, and for Juniper and Sabre, who have fought these guys before. He had his nervousness well, but anyone that really knew him understood that his sudden break from being overly energetic and fanatic about wrestling meant that he must have been freaking out about it on the inside.

Still, he'd overcome that for the sake of doing his best for his friends in his corner and for his own career. Shido had a habit of studying up on his opponents and on random members of the AFW roster long before matches took place, but it's not like he could tell anyone in his corner anything about UKE that they didn't already know. Maybe some useless bits of trivia, but that's about it.

He'd acknowledge the advice Nick gave him "Thank you, sir. I appreciate the advice." he'd answer while stripping down to his wrestling trunks and removing his shoes, keeping in mind the stipulations Juniper wanted.

"I'll do my best!" he smiled in response to what Juniper told him and launched himself over the top rope,landing on his feet to meet John in the ring!

"Yo, John! Good to see you again! Whaddya say we get things started and tear the roof off this place?" Shido said audibly, exciting the crowd a bit and hyping up the start of the match!

So Shido was starting first it seemed, it looked as if it wasn't the best idea for Juniper's team. But maybe it was crazy enough to work, John didn't know the first thing about this git really. He seemed to be full of energy, might be hard to whittle down. No matter, Lucy could probably handle this guy. But she wasn't making any indication she wanted in, her silence didn't go unnoticed by her Brother. Who muttered to her with "Sis you've been awfully quiet. A penny for your thoughts pray chance?"

Ms Grange looked at Ryan out the corner of her eye, a second later Lucy responded with "I'm kinda sick of how I've been doing things in the ring, you don't mind your Sister being more angry in this fight do you?"

"So long as you don't overdo it." Ryan muttered back, Lucy's new year resolution was to win more in light of last year. And she was starting to feel that trying that the way she'd been doing it might not be the best course of action, Lucy in high school was a spitfire that even the boys didn't mess with. She wanted to tap back into that. "Take it away John, we're on standby." the British paragon yelled to the artist.

John nodded but he didn't take his eyes off of Shido, his eyes narrowed to slits. He didn't get why this bloke was being so buddy buddy, he'd only just met John and hadn't really done much to endear himself to the master of creation. But Mr Carnaby didn't want to be disrespectful, so he simply gave a slight nod. He was feeling confident though, even if Shido was an unknown factor John knew that he had the height and weight advantage. And getting close was going to be good consider the man's grappling forte.

With that the bell rung and John settled into his stance, the artist didn't think that Shido was going to be willing to try a lookup against the master of creation. So he edged close, before nipping in close and trying to kick things off by grabbing Shido's right arm and attempting a basic wristlock. Simple, and good enough to start with and give a taste of what was to come if the artist could have it so.

Shido sensed something was up with Lucy, but didn't call attention to it. He was intent on taking things one step at a time. And that started with facing down the so called master of creation and doing something to give his own team an advantage. As far wrestling styles go, Shido and John weren't that different. Shido had only ever learned by the book and thrived on using whatever technical prowess he had against other gentlemen in the ring.

He hopped in place for a moment until John took his stance and drew closer. Shido was impressed with how quickly John managed to snatch his arm and twist it into a wrist lock! But Shido's instincts kicked in made him attempt an immediate reversal, having him twirl around John while grasping John's arm using his free hand, thus attempting a hammerlock. But that wouldn't last for much time at all. If this worked, Shido would waste no time reaching up to grab John's head to transition into a front headlock, from which he would attempt to roll the larger guy up into a small package pin!

This was a common sequence for many technical wrestlers, but Shido relied on the element of surprise to work in his favor, here. A quick pin attempt to open up the match is usually a great way to secure momentum, and that's what Shido's goal here was!

John was did what he did to try and assess the enemy, see what made them tick. Juniper was obvious as the redhead had been in the same ring with the artist in his first title defence, Sabre was easy enough to guess too. Plus that wrist lock was to start off with, Shido might have more to him than met the eye too. This wasn't a title defence, this lot hadn't earned the right for that. Still didn't mean it wasn't going to be half hearted in terms of effort though.

Shido had speed on his side, the shorter guy let him dance around the master of creation for a hammerlock. In response John quickly tensed up, when he was put in submissions himself John knew not to panic. And instead try to prepare a counter for it, but Shido discarded the hold in favour of another. Cinching Mr Carnaby in a frontal headlock, before moving into a small package pin attempt!

John was needless to say a bit surprised by this sudden whirlwind of events, but those holds did little to no damage to him. The ref didn't even get to count to one before John kicked out, and he was close to Shido too. Since trying for a hold wasn't going to work, he was going to use his strength instead. In Smash Bros John mained Ganondorf, and while he wasn't as strong enough as the King of Evil Disrespect. He was certainly strong enough to grab hold of Shido as he stood up, and send the small runt flying with a release belly to belly suplex!

Shido had succeeded in executing his sequence and garnering John's attention. He smiled confidently at John after rising to his feet following the pin attempt. He had anticipated John trying a different approach the next time the champ tried to engage him, but he didn't anticipate the guy defaulting to brute strength! Shido didn't get a chance to react to being hurled across the ring via a belly to belly suplex! And what's worse is that it seemed he was being thrown towards UKE's corner!

Still, even as he was thrown, Shido never considered himself without options. There was a reason you never really see a Ganon main top a big smash tournament. Shido used the force from the throw to flip forwards and land on all fours, thus minimizing the damage! As close a call as this appeared, the little guy would rise to his feet quickly, yet again and simply wave to Ryan and Lucy before turning around to face John, again.. From there he'd try to circle the ring again to get away from UKE's corner, as that probably wasn't a place he'd wanna be for long.

Aside from being a very good grappler John had also learned to toss his weight around, if he couldn't make the enemy tap out he'd slam them. It helped that most of his opponents were often at a height disadvantage, it wasn't essential but it certainly helped obviously. The artist executed the move quite well, with Ryan applauding his partner's attack.

Shido though seemingly was able to minimize the damage inflicted from the suplex, perhaps he was so used to being in situations like that he learned to tumble and try to take it in stride. Feeling so confident that he actually waved to the other members of the UK Elite in their corner. Ryan simply smirked with his arms folded. Lucy on the other hand scowled at Shido and stuck her tongue out at him.

That said though the fanboy had made a fatal mistake, turning his back on the artist. Who had promptly gotten back up and noticed the enemy with their back turned, perhaps this was due to Shido's inexperience in tag teaming? Nevertheless John had quickly moved to Shido, in the hopes of punishing him with a hard kick to the gut once he turned around. The opponent might be confident in his ring ability, but paying attention to the legal opponent was the important thing.

Everyone in the challenging corner was doing something different. Sabre remained quiet and stoic, with arms folded. She was watching Shido with anticipation, wondering what the smaller man would do against the bigger man. On the other hand, Juniper was on edge. She was shouting at Shido to dodge and duck. Hopefully it wasn't messing with him.

Nick was actually answering a pbine call, leaving the ring and the trio to do this on their own.

Juniper watches as Shido did something stupid. She yells out for him to turn around. But she wouldnt know if he was able to do so in time...

Shido was caught up in the momenta after being acknowledged by the opposite corner. After all it was UKE and try as he might to hide it, he was taken aback and happy to be in the ring with them and Animalistic Tendencies. He would be a bit slow to turn around and as a result, would be met with a stiff kick to the gut by John!

Shido grunted in pain and fell to one knee, trying to figure out how he could salvage the situation. After all, it wasn't like John's offense was going to stop there. Shido would hear Juniper's yelling and try to dash towards the opposite corner, attempted to duck between John's legs to get there. It wasn't like Juniper was gonna let him off the hook if he costed them the match, and he didn't need any more people going after him when he already had 3 opponents to concern himself with.
