AV 15 Hardcore Title Boiler Room Brawl: Adrian Kytes(c) Vs. River Styx

Adrian was aiming for River's face but setting the bald brawler ablaze was a very happy accident. She didn't honestly think the flash paper could do that, usually it just created a brief flash that blinded people and singe off the victim's eyebrows. Maybe it was some high-proof spirits in River's shirt or something that helped it catch ablaze. If only she hadn't ripped off and thrown away the fire extinguisher this could all be resolved quickly, too bad.

Staggering towards the flailing bald woman, Adrian did her best to stamp out the flames, pushing herself to kick River in the chest, hoping that the surprise of being flammable would be enough to get her off balance.

Thanks to the gauging of her eyes earlier, the blood streaming down her forehead, the flash of light from the fireball and the distress of being temporarily lit on fire, Styx’s mind was a ball of confusion. What little coherent thought she could muster was focused on taking care of the flames. One of the straps on her shirt got burnt off and her skin was seared, but she managed to pat it down and save the audience from the sheer horror of seeing her topless.

The complete combination of what-the-fuckery left Styx seeing fuzzy out of her good eye, so blinded that she couldn’t see much at all. Certainly not the fierce, fighting champion come at her with a sharp kick in the chest.

Styx toppled over like a falling tower and crashed just as gracefully, landing flat on her back. She rubbed her eye with one hand and blindly swung her arm around with the other, just trying to ward Adrian off.

Adrian almost stumbled over herself as she planted her boot firmly into the bald brawler, watching her flop down to the ground as the former cosplayer staggered back to a vertical base, watching River flail blindly while Adrian had all the time in the world to pick her spot to attack, and looking around the loading bay, she found the perfect tool to use.

Limping over towards the forklift, she saw that someone had left the thing still fully operational. Now all she had to do was figure out what made the thing lift and what made it go down and she was well away, the possibility of snatching a victory from River's brutal clutches was sweet, now all she had to do was make sure that River would stay down long enough for her to pull it off. After messing about trying and failing to understand Mongolian button combinations, she finally found the one that brought the forks to life, lifting a crate laden pallet up into the air with a lot of noise.

Something was wrong.

First off, Adrian wasn’t attacking Styx while she was clearly vulnerable, laying on the floor like a turtle on the back of its shell. At first, she thought the champion was just trying to escape, but she could still hear her moving around nearby. She was close. Doing something…

Then she heard the machinary. The unmistakable hum of an engine starting up. The forklift was activated, and while Styx didn’t know what Adrian was planning for it, she was clear-headed enough to realize it would be nothing good for her chances. She needed to be anywhere else. Right now. Styx rolled over to her chest and tried to push her way back up, but it was slow going, and she could barely get up to her knees, much less stand up anytime soon.

The whir and hum of the forklift motor egged Adrian on as she watched the crates get lifted up into the air, sparing a glance down to where River was laying. Where River had been laying. "Shit!" She hissed, the bald brawler was going to ruin everything if she kept being annoying by moving away, even if it was only by inches. She either needed her up and staggered, or flat on the concrete for her plan to work and the next part of that plan involved getting from the first stage to the second. Anything in between wasn't calculated for in Adrian's damage-addled mind, and as she went back to looking up on the crates that same broken brain was busy fixing up a self-destructive scheme.

Pulling herself out of the forklift cab, she tried to shuffle over and grab hold of the forks supporting the weight, and began to climb up, ribs burning as her own weight stretched her out as she clambered her way to the top, blood splashed all over her face as she sucked in every breath, eventually rolling on top of the crates overlooking the bay as she pushed herself to get a look of where River was crawling towards.

Struggling to think of anything cool to say before she attempted something monumentally stupid, she climbed to her feet, almost hitting a swinging light with her head as the former cosplayer did something that was no doubt going to beon highlight reels for quite a while whether it worked or not. Adrian Kytes just jumped off the crates, flying through the air as she pulled one arm up, hurtling towards River with a diving elbow drop.

Oh, God, did this suck for River Styx. She was crawling around in the floor, and while she couldn't see herself - or much at all, really, she could only imagine herself looking like she’d just been through a warzone. She sure as fuck felt like it, and she’d lost count of all the injuries. And all this, thanks to Adrian Kytes. It didn't make sense - she brought down Rebecca, the behemoth that even Akashi couldn't beat on the first shot, but her little pet bitch was putting her through the ringer?

How? How?

It was just one giant mess of pain, and she was sure it couldn't conceivably get worse...until, no surprise, it did.

”God…” Styx grumbled as she inched forward, farther and farther. ”Just let me-”

Something happened. Styx wasn’t sure what, but it involved something hitting her back with tremendous forced. Her back arched, a wretched howl flew from her lips, and then her limbs flopped to the side. Unmoving. Completely stil.

Except for her mouth. ”I hate  you.” Styx looked over her shoulder at the blur on  her back that she assumed was Adrian Kytes. ”I hate you, so much.”

That was dumb, that was oh so very dumb. For one of the most basic moves that people think about as high flying, the landing was way freaking worse: trying to drive the impact of falling from any height onto your arm and hip when it'd be much safer and smarter to try and land flat on your back made the whole thing much more painful than it needed to be, especially on concrete. Oh so satisfying though...

"Ha..." Adrian chuckled as she lay down on top of the bald brawler, wincing as her entire right side of her body burned with it, "ha...hate you too bitch! woooooo!" the brunette wheezed with a bloody smile on her face as she rolled off, aching all the way as she crawled towards the forklift, looking for something to pull herself back up to her feet before she staggered back over to River Styx, a creepy grin plastered on her face. "Now..." she hummed, getting down to grab hold of River's arm and pulling on it, trying to drag the 190lb woman across to the other side of the room, underneath the crates.

Styx direly wished she could get up and beat the shit out of Adrian. She wanted to drive her pretty little head through all sorts of peril and plunder. She wanted to throw her off a high, but survivable, height, then pick her up and drop her down it once again. She wanted to plant her boot on every part of Adrian’s body, until the energy ran out of her bones and she just couldn't do it anymore.

But she couldn’t do any of that. She could barely even move at the moment. All she could do was twitch and groan as Adrian dragged her heavy ass along the floor. She was trying to do all the things she wished she could do, but her body was unresponsive. ”Get the fuck…” She weakly wriggled around. ”Get the fuck off me…”

God damn River was difficult to move around, the combination of trying to slide 190lbs of dead weight across the concrete floor and the fact that the former cosplayer's ribs were probably in a similar state to a mailed-in Pringle at this point made getting the bald brawler across the floor a monumental task. Adrian alternating between pulling on arms and legs while standing up and getting on her knees to try and roll River in to position, in the shadows of the suspended crates.

Satisfied with River's positioning, Adrian crawled back over to the Forklift cab, pulling herself up to the controls, coughing as wheezing as she pulled the level down, lowering the crates down towards the bald brawler "Down! Down... down!" the bloodied brunette called as she lowered the crates to trap River underneath, not enough to crush her, but enough to make sure she couldn't get up and re-start the fight again even if she had anything left. "Okay...." she panted, flopping out of the cab and crawling past River's head, the only thing that wasn't caught underneath the pallet "See ya..."

The only solace Styx had, as Adrian dragged her limp carcass along the floor, was the fact that Adrian was having so much trouble pulling her. She hoped the bitch would dislocate her shoulder.

That, of course, didn’t happen. For the first time she could remember, Styx was utterly helpless, and it only got worse as Adrian put her in position and she realized what was about to happen. ”Fuck’s sakes, no, shit, no-”

The forklift lowered like a slow-motion guillotine, cutting off her hopes for the hardcore title. The moment it touched her body, her chances of winning went from miniscule to nonexistant. She struggled. She squirmed. She tried to slide out from underneath. But, in the end, she was totally, completely, irrevocably unmoveable, and she could only think of one word to describe her situation.

”FUCK!”
