Crimson Snow; Seraphim and Tracy's encounter

While Tracy may have been well known and used to this town, Seraphim was new. She had grown up in Sweden after all, but that didn't change the fact that he had experience. In the end, if you look at it, every town had a similar structure or pattern, and Seraphim had those memorized down pat, her streetwise greater than even a gang leader or drug lord, having literally lived off them for practically half her life.

After hopping a few more buildings, nearly missing one as she just barely leapt one that was a 7 foot span and almost lost her footing, Seraphim had been able to keep up with the girl, still out of view as she was five stories above. But as she stopped, seeing the girl make one wrong turn to a dead end, Seraphim watched the scene with interest, wondering what the girl would do next.

"Yep... she's royally fucked." Seraphim said to herself as she watched, seeing a small squad of blues (what Seraphim called police), training their guns on her. Seraphim was impressed to see them take such action on the girl, sensing that she must have been one wild bitch if they had guns drawn. It actually reminded Seraphim of someone even.

It was just like herself....

Letting out a long sigh, Seraphim knew what she was about to do was against her ways, as she was trying to straiten up her act since she was released, still believing the words of Father Maxwell from the church, but she just didn't find it fair that the red-head had to be put in such a position.

'I canâ€t believe Iâ€m doing this…' Seeing her opportunity, Seraphim looked around on the roof, seeing a few loose roofing bricks, and taking one in each hand. Then, nearing one of the fire escape ladders, noticing how one of the police was under one that had been pulled up, she gave it a swift kick, releasing it. As this happened, a thunderous grind of metal on metal occurring as the bottom of the ladder came out, it would fall down right into one of the officers faces, knocking him out cold. During the time it fell, waisting not a single moment, Seraphim threw both bricks, one at each officer, using her element of surprise as an advantage.

Knocking out all three police before they could react, the other two remaining would look up, guns trained where they thought Seraphim was, only to realize Seraphim used another element to her advantage; the sun. When the police looked up, they would see the sun cascading right behind her from their angle, blinding one officer who was stupid enough to look, the other one turning to the ladder to climb up as quickly as possible to catch the new culprit.

Tracy felt pretty scared. She thought it was going to be the end for her,that she was going to get finally caught and put in jail,with bigger girls that would surely try to rape her. She gulped heavily once again,and just shutted her eyes. As the fireman ladder came down,the horrible sound of metal on metal awakened her from her shock. She opened her eyes wide and saw that there were already three cops out cold. One of the remaining was shooting at the sky,blinded by the sun,while the other started to climb on the fireman's ladder.

Tracy didnt like to owe anything to anyone. As she saw the cop climbing,she followed him with an amazing speed for an 18 years old girl,grabbed him by the pants and threw him off the ladder,from a 3 meter height. After that,she continued climbing until she reached the top,where Seraphim was. She simply stared at her as she ordered her to show her the way out of here. They wouldnt have to worry about the stupid police man who was still wasting his bullets. "Okay. You lead the way. "

Following her plan through, Seraphim was looking desperately for something to take the cop off from the ladder. But before she could grab another brick, this one in too snug to yank out unless she really tried, Seraphim watched as Tracy forced him off with a tug, letting him plummet below and probably break a leg. 'The little shit's better than I thought.' Seraphim thought to herself, impressed by not letting it distract her too much as she knew it was time to get the Hell out of here.

Finally, when the red-head got to the top, starting to realize she didn't even know her name and she was helping her, Seraphim cursed under her breath before looking for a way to buy them some time. Seraphim knew she could get away, that wasn't the issue, she was worried if one of the police so much as even saw her, she was completely screwed. She had a history, and if she became wanted, her hard work in trying to clean up her act after leaving jail would be for nothing. That was when she had a thought.

"Don't thank me yet short-shit." Seraphim said with a rougher, more determined tone than she had earlier in the brawl, clearly having an agenda. She briefly took a moment to scan the roof, spotting something else she could use. There was a small satellite dish on the roof, three feet in radius, it was perfect. Running for it, Seraphim bent down, and with a forceful yank, she would rip the upper portion of the dish clean out, giving a pained grunt as she put all her strength into taking it out, breaking it off it's hinges before having it in hand. With a few rapid breaths, feeling a little tired after literally letting her adrenaline kick in to do that, she would run back for the ladder before slamming the small satellite into it, jamming it between some of the steps and creating a little dome to prevent any police from climbing it since it was slammed in tight.

With a few breaths, shaking her arms a little, she looked back at Tracy, not caring how she felt about the short comment, before motioning for her to follow. If they were quick, Seraphim could get them to her apartment without any other police spotting them; something that became Seraphimâ€s main agenda right now. "Phew… fuckin' hell. C'mon, follow me!"

Tracy growled softly as she heard the one eyed girl calling her 'short-shit'. It wasnt the first time someone called her that way. She was simply sick of people calling her by disgusting nicknames. But this time,she didnt pay much attention to it,not even yelled back at Seraphim. Tracy just wanted to avoid getting caught by the cops.

With curious eyes,the redhead watched Seraphim's plan in action. Though she didnt understand pretty good what the hell she was doing,she simply watched,thinking that what the white haired was doing may give them some time to escape. Yeah....She is not pretty smart,you know.

She started to look at the piece satelite dish that was keeping the cops from going on in their pursuit,and just came back to her senses when Seraphim yelled at her. " A--Alright. " And with that statement,she nodded and followed the white haired girl.

Why she was really doing this? Even Seraphim wasn't completely sure, she knew she was putting everything at risk for this bitch she hardly knew, but something about her just felt too nostolgic and familiar, seeing herself in this girl during her younger years, and that was enough of a reason for Seraphim.

When she agreed, Seraphim took only a brief moment to brace herself, bending down like she was preparing for an olympic race, and then she darted ahead, ready to run as much as she needed, which was actually quite a distance. "I hope you're ready for about a mile of roof-hopping." Seraphim admitted with a cocky tone, even thugh she knew the run might exhaust others, Seraphim had the endurance of an ox, but wasn't sure about the other girl. "It's where my place is, should be safe 'till things die down. But if we're caught, you're on your own shorty." With that said, Seraphim's run came to as much of a speed as she felt possible, leaping from the edge of the building to another, making it across with a skid, only to pick up her pace. For safety sake, not wanting to lose the other girl, Seraphim took only the smallest gaps, using the closer buildings this ghetto had to her advantage, as most were tightly packed leaving only small, 3 to 5 feet gaps to leap, most being not problem for her. Though she knew near the end when they reached the other parts of the city and got closer to her apartment, it was going to be quite a challenge...

Tracy simply smirked,obviously accepting the challenge. Though her heart was racing and she started to sweatdrop,she was pretty sure that she could take it. Maybe not perfect because she never did it before,but she was really confident. She took a few steps back and rushed towards the edge of the roof,leaping off it and towards the next roof.

She landed upon the next building's roof succesfully,and so she would do with the next ones,until they reach a zone with bigger gaps between the apartment. Then,the doubts started to come at her. " Hey....do you think we will be able to jump gaps this big? I'm not saying that I wouldnt. I was just worried about you. " Tracy asked with a challenging tone and hiding her fear.

Sure enough, the girl had stamina, mildly impressing Seraphim as they were going at the run for a solid ten minutes, eventually reaching the apartment complexes and living quarters of town. It seemed they still couldn't take a break either, as there were still sounds of sirens, but no longer aware of just where the two of them were. Finally, seeing the five story apartment complex ahead, the red, brick building being where Seraphim lived, she could breath a sigh of releif, knowing they were nearly out of the blue. However, since there was a larger gap, nearly ten feet seperating this one from it, Seraphim knew it was a challenge, one the red-head dared to point out.

"Heh, you kiddin'? I used to do this shit for fun! Ain't no blues goin' to catch me, I live for this stuff!" Pride ringing and her ego high at the moment, Seraphim would go into a full sprint, putting all her energy and weight into moving ahead. Getting to the edge, bending down with her toes lingering off the end, she took a running leap, her legs and arms still moving while she leapt, looking like she was still in a running motion while she was in mid air. Then, with a kidding halt, only barely making the impressive jump that pushed human limits to the edge, she managed to just barely come to a sliding halt, breathing heavily before turning around. "Come on!" She yelled from the other end, ready to grab the girl if she missed it by a foot or two, or caught the edge by her fingertips since she doubted she could do it.

Tracy gulped heavily as she thought that maybe Seraphim could fall. She just watched the white haired girl 'fly' to the other building's roof. She let out a sigh of relief as she saw that the other girl had landed upon the roof succesfully. Now she was decided to jump....

Tracy took a few steps back,more than usual,knowing that this might be the biggest distance she would have to jump in her life. She started to run and leapt off the edge of the roof. While she was in mid air,it was pretty clear that she wouldnt made it. For Tracy,the world turned into a slow motion dimension. 'Is this....my end...? ' She missed by,at least,3 foots,and maybe Seraphim wouldnt be able to catch her...

"SHIT!" Seraphim bellowed out and took her chance, not caring about anything else right now. She wasn't going to have another coffin on her consciousness, even if she hardly knew the girl. Barely taking the time to think about anything else, reacting completely on instinct as she figured what to do, Seraphim went to save Tracy the only way possible. No hesitation to stop her, Seraphim dropped down from the roof, keeping herself between Tracy and the steel gutterpipe along the building, hoping she could stretch to grab both as she tried to put all her weight into falling faster before they dropped all the way to a deadly splat.

Four stories left...

Reaching as far as she could, Seraphim would try to grab Tracy, but only grazed her fingertips, realizing that she'd have a better chance catching her legs.

Three stories left...

Feeling her muscles sore as they stretched, Seraphim eventually managed to snatch her, just barely getting her tight grip around the girl's ankle, clamping down like a mechanical vice, digging in painfully, but only to make sure she wouldnâ€t drop the girl or lose grip.

Two stories...

The ground closing in fast, Seraphim then reached for the pipe, not caring now if they got to the ground, but hoping to at least slow their fall. Any moment now, she felt her muscles sore, but she could just grab it if she went a little further...

One story… they were about to kiss the ground hard

Got it! Her fingertips wrapped around the steel pipe, and she clenched down, sliding still, but quickly coming to a halt as her palm was cut and giving a burn from sliding down the pipe, slapping a few screws along the way that cut her palm.

Just as they were about to hit the ground, Tracy dangling upside down, they stopped, Tracyâ€s head no more than a few inches from the solid granite blow, staring it in the face like death itself, but her disaster averted. Seraphim just stood there for a moment as they were in the alleyway, breathing heavily as her body was caked in sweat, and then… she laughed. She laughed like it was hysterical to see death come so close, not even acknowledging her own pains yet as she remained on the pipe despite practically touching the ground at this point.

Tracy let out a desperation scream. " Kyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!! " She shutted her eyes down tightly. Her heart felt like beating its way right out from her chest. The adrenaline of falling like that from the roof made her feel pretty scared,but good at the same time. Her last seconds of life were to end....or at least that's what she thought.

" Huh....? What...? " Tracy wondered as,after a while of keeping her eyes closed,she didnt feel any pain. Was she dead? She slowly opened her orbs,blinking several times to clear her vision. Incredible! She was still alive! Hanging upside down but still alive! She started to fight against Seraphim's grip on her ankle,not even imagining that,if the white haired girl released her,she would fall strongly to the cold ground due to the gravity effects.
