Domino vs. Ninjette: Ready, Steady, Go!

Kozue got a good feel of Domino's back as she pushed him - a very, very good feel. Maybe it was just her recent adventures in womanhood, but she couldn't help but notice the definition he had going on. Just made her realize more and more how long it had been since she’d been in the ring with a man. Kent Quick didn’t count.

She backed away after he hit the corner, gave up some space but it wasn't to let Domino get away - not a exactly. She let him turn around, but that was all she intended to allow before she went back into action. Kozue planned to hit him often and hard in this match, and she had just the move to start with.

She jumped up, planted one foot on the ropes beside Domino's head, then swung her other leg around as she bounced, trying to hit him with a springboard enziguiri in the back of his - well-groomed - head.

Those dark purple eyes remain transfixed on the all-ish-American kunoichi. He's ripe for her continued assault - or that's the impression he's hoping to convey. That seasoned status rears its head for the first time tonight as Kozue makes her move, only for the swinging leg to find no head with which to collide! The young grappler has dipped low, leaving nothing but feminine hips twisting in front of him, and more importantly, ending with Ninjette's back turned to him.

It's a ripe opportunity Domino isn't going to waste - an opening he was hoping to gain. Without missing a beat, he charges the maybe-a-foot's distance to catch her around the neck with his left arm and continue on toward the center of the ring before springing into the air. He lands on the ring in a seated position, but heavily leaning towards her, hoping to bulldog her down against the mat chest and stomach-first!

Her approach was a clever one; he'll absolutely give her that. It was creative, unorthodox, and had his head been where it was supposed to be, probably pretty effective. She's got initiative, and she's... tricksy. Of course, she's dressed like a ninja. He should probably expect shenanigans out of her. But as far as skill goes, she's not disappointing. But can she take a beating?

If Kozue hadn’t been so busy shrieking with surprise after she missed the kick, she would’ve sighed. Should’ve known life couldn’t be that easy, especially with a guy like this. Whatever was about to happen to her, it was going to suck. Hard. ”Aw, come on-”

She landed on foot, graceful and nimble as could be, but she didn’t stay there for too long. Domino had other plans, plans that involved grabbing her from behind and slamming her chest - what little there was - into the canvas at high speed. Kozue bounced on impact, hitting with more sound than you’d expect from a woman her size, and then she promptly rolled over to her back and spent her time craddling her chest, groaning with a mix of aggravation and pain.

”Heh.” She managed a weak little smirk. ”Not supposed to dodge that. Cheater.”

"Oh, don't you even start," replies Domino with a boyish, teasing smile. Kozue gets the added benefit of a fingertip tweaking the tip of her nose in faux-chastisement. "Faking out those lockups."

The young model turns onto his knee to face her and reaches down, hooking one hand behind her head and going for her arm with the other to guide her up. He thought she might appreciate less of a hair-pulling approach to being bodily manipulated, and her playful, if cheeky, demeanor has so far earned that.

Once poised on their feet again, Domino immediately attempts to set up his next hit. The hand behind her head slips more around her neck, while the other hand releases her arm in favor of trying to catch the skinny, spry girl between the legs to hoist her across his chest. All of this, only to drop to the mat in a kneel, hoping to crash the girl's lower back across his upturned knee!

Even though Kozue had been training pretty hard over the past few months and put on some muscle to cover her lithe frame, she still only weighed about a buck twenty. Lifting her wasn't exactly a Herculean feat. Still, Domino made it look easier than most, as he effortlessly manipulated her body and brought her back up. Just another reminder of what she was up against.

"Whoa, shit." Her eyes widened and she started to squirm, as Domino brought her up against his chest and held her in a familar position. "Not a backbreaker, not-"

It was a backbreaker, and a pretty solid one at that. Kozue's back folded against his knee and a short cry escaped her lips, before she rolled off and fell to her chest. She grimaced and kept one hand to her back, nursing it, while her other limbs focused on getting back up as quickly as she could manage.

It was, indeed, a backbreaker, and one that gives the fly-cam plenty of wincing faces in the audience to capture. Much to Domino's surprise, Kozue's already working herself back to her feet! Sure, it's early in the match, but a lot of people might need a minute! It speaks to the girl's resilience. Or tenacy. Maybe both.

"Dang, girl."

He pops back up to his boots and backs up rapidly until his bare back presses against the ropes taut to build momentum. Slingshot forward, the teen bears down on her, legs pumping and posture fluid like a jungle cat. His right arm hooks out, hoping to nail her under the chin with his bicep in a charging clothesline.

"Yeah." Kozue grunted and smirked Domino's way as she started to work her way back up. "Be impressed by my amazing ability to get my back cracked."

She looked up in time to see him going back on the attack once more, barely even letting her stand straight before he tried to knock her down again. She was still hurting a little too much to do anything to crazy as a counterattack, but that didn't mean she was out of options.

"Nope!" Kozue ducked under the clothesline and stayed low as she came out behind him. She reached between his legs before he got too far, fell on her back - not too pleasant, but worth it - and pulled him down over her chest as she dropped, trying to get his shoulders on the mat with a quick schoolboy pin. She wasn't too optimistic about her chances, but it couldn't hurt to try.

His arm swings wildly through the air, hoping to catch her and put her down - forcefully. Only in that moment, Kozue's not only dipped to avoid the blow altogether, but finds her slender arm hooking him at the hip! Eyes widen at the grab and sudden halt in forward momentum, his balance more than compromised as he's dragged back and tumbled over with her. When his world stops spinning, it's with him on his shoulders and pinned.

"Whoahey!," he balks.

The referee girl drops beside them and prepares to start the pin count!

"One!"

The toned muscle of his thighs flex and he explodes with outward force to kick out of the predicament and get a shoulder off the mat. "I do believe that's the first time a woman's tried that on me!"

Damn! Kozue didn't think she would be the first woman in AFW history to win a match by a flash rollup in the second minute, but she was hoping for a two-count, bare minimum. It looked like she had a lot more work to do and a lot more fun to be had.

"That a fact?" Kozue chuckled and rolled away from Domino, giving him some room to breath. Playing a few head games with him. "You haven't been taking on the right girls, man."

She rolled off her shoulders and flipped back up to her feet, nimbly making her way back up in a single bound. The crowd gave them both a light round of applause, but she didn't spare so much as a glance their way. Kozue stayed crouched, like a cat getting ready to pounce, as she looked back at Domino with a cheshire smile. "Try again?"

As soon as there's a little room, Domino rolls over and perches on hands and knees. "I haven't?," asks Domino with a perked eyebrow and persistent smile. "I dunno. I like a girl who's thorough."

He lifts to his feet and joins the light applause from the audience, nodding along. He doesn't linger in this long, of course. He's learning that Kozue is an opportunistic little thing. So his stance quickly deepens, arms raised at the ready. "Itching to." Itching, but not clumsy. He's charged her twice now, and she's ducked him! So his approach is slower, methodical, his toned frame visibly tensed like a compressed coil. His right hand lifts, fingers wiggling as if challenging her to a test of strength. Those amethyst eyes remain glued to her hazels, trying to get a read on her. He's pretty sure she's not going to go for it.

In fact, he kind of expects sass for it.
