Friction in MSG: Akashi Tanikaze Vs. Haruna Saito

Akashi was pleased as Haruna toppled over the railing and crashed into the water below. The auidience roared at the spectacle as well. The sumo then shrugged off her yukata and exposed her bare chest, leaving her only in the hakama pants she had started the match with. Unlike Haruna, Akashi had taped down nothing, letting her ample chest hang freely as she raised her fist in the air and commanded the audience to roar even louder with approval.

Once she brought her hand down, she left the bridge and walked around to where the make shift pond was. Akashi slipped around the edge and looked at Haruna. "You're all wet, Saito-san. Do you need a hand?" She asked with a smile on her face.

Haruna burst up from the 'depths', sputtering and spitting water on all fours. Her hakama thoroughly drenched, she reached down in frustration and undid both the obi and her pants as well, kicking off the waterlogged garments and leaving her in just her soggy chest wrappings and fundoshi.

Looking up at Akashi with an even deeper hatred from before, seething with her indignity, Haruna slowly rose to her feet, revealing in the kendo stick that had also fallen off just earlier. "Come get it, you shameless pig."

Akashi looked at Haruna as she disrobed and grinned. She couldn't help but stare at the fundoshi and suddenly grinned wider. "Saito-san." She said coyly. "Are you sure you don't belong in Tension?" She asked. "You're so masculine." Akashi's eyes lit up as she nodded to the choice of underwear. Honestly, she liked the thought. Akashi herself was very girlish and for Haruna to speak so scornfully of tradition and, yet..."

Still, Akashi knew better than to come at Haruna and she began to slowly back down the ramp towards the ring. "But, you definitely fit the part of the Yakuza mobster." Akashi suggested. "However, it's missing something. After I win,for your first right of initiation, we're both going to get tattoos." Akashi said and pointed to the kanji that said Kuma on her side just down under her arm a bit.

"My Imouto has one that matches." Akashi said. "I fight for her. What do you fight for, Saito-san?" Akashi said as her features hardened even as she continued to slowly backpedal.

Haruna scowled at Akashi's snide remark. Of course if she was going to go along with this ridiculous setup she was going to do it properly. And of all things a sumo wrestler was going to comment on that?

"Never going to happen." She spat scornfully. "I respect my body enough not to blemish it so frivolously like that..."

Her glare only intensified as Akashi questioned her. Why was she here? Because those old fools only cared about preserving the clan but not improving it. Because they tried to make a skill like hers waste away as a craftswoman or a housewife. Because they were afraid of her talent. She was here because she was strong and she was going to prove it.

"I fight for myself." She stated coldly, before slowly advancing towards the edge of the pond, clutching the kendo stick tightly with both hands

Kashi continued to put some distance between them and whens he felt she was far enough away, she tore off her obi and let her hakama pants fall tot he ground leaving her in nothing but the mawashi she had hidden underneath.

Akashi beat her chest and stared at Haruna. "Saying these were frivolous is something you cannot take back, Saito-san." Akashi said as she bent down on her knees and stared at Haruna. She pushed her knuckles into the ramp and then charged with all of her might at the shinobi.

Kendo stick or not, Akashi was willing to take the gamble that Haruna would give before Akashi did and she charged up the ramp, building steam as she lunged at Haruna, leaving her feet to try and crash into the shinobi with a powerful spear to the gut.

"Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"

Reaching dry land, Haruna stood her ground, letting the water drip off her mostly naked body. Despite the somewhat slippery surface, she kept her stance firmly, even as the roaring sumo bore down on her.

Not that she had any intention of just standing there and taking such a telegraphed attack. The moment Akashi took to the air, the soggy shinobi ducked and slid out of the way, hopefully giving the sumo her own chance to get a bit wet.

Akashi was lured into the pond and splashed into it with much more ferocity than Haruna did, splashing water everywhere as she took a dip in the water. Still, the height from which she fell, wasn't quite the tumble that Haruna took and Akashi bobbed in the water for a moment before pushing up to her hands and knees and looking at Haruna through the wet strands of her formerly ringletted hair.

Akashi said in a scary voice, lifting up her arm and throwing her hair away from her face so it splashed at Haruna. She was going to have to trudge out of the shallow pond, but that blast of cool water felt quite good as she faced Haruna.

"Hmph, getting a little homesick for the sea?" Haruna scoffed, making and off-handed whale joke.

Of course, as soon as Akashi had begun to step out of the pond, the purple-haired girl lunged forward, leaving water droplets in her wake as she struck with the kendo stick, aimed at the sumo's head.

Akashi didn't get one foot set on the edge of the pond before Haruna was on her. In a flash, the girl aimed at her head and while Akashi had no way of fending off the Kendo stick strike and returning serve, she could at least protect her head.

She brought up an arm to block the strike, hissing as it crashed into her. She peered past her arm and just tried to inch forward so she could get out of the water while Haruna bruised her am with the snapping strikes, the crowd gasping from the unfair advantage the shinobi had.

Haruna led in with a few more quick strikes, all cracking against Akashi's arm, before abruptly swinging low and trying to catch the sumo in her knee. The more she could keep Akashi hobbled and on the defensive, the more easily she'd be able to finally wear her down.
