AVQ: Rachel Carin Vs. Akiha Kosha

As the succession of brutal stomps came to a stop, Rachel found herself slowly reaching up to caress her head, when she was cut off by one last, particularly hard boot to the head. Less prepared for this attack, the last stomp managed to pry a yelp of pain out of her, before she was roughly hoisted to her feet by her hair, hurting her scalp that much more.

On her feet but supremely dizzy, Rachel didn't have much of a choice but to limply cooperate as she was hoisted by the lip of her pants, hanging upside down as the blood rushed to her already throbbing head. Still, while her motor skills were not at their best right now, she had a decent enough perception of her surroundings to pick up Akiha's "for Japan" comment. What, was she some sort of invader now? How did beating up some Canadian girl qualify as honoring one's country? Of course, after all the cranial damage she sustained, Rachel couldn't really retort with anything more sensible than garbled nonsense. Really, it didn't matter anyway, as her skull came crashing down into the mat once more with the aptly named brain buster, causing her whole body to go limp for a short time as she fought to stay conscious.

Akiha had managed to get Rachel successful locked in before lifting her up into the air.  She showed off her opponent body to the crowd for a bit before yelling for her home country as she then performed a brainbuster suplex.  The audience began to cheer for Akiha at her last statement, though she was a heel she was still from their home country and thus they would cheer for her, wanting one of their own to win, though many still booed her.

The Japanese wrestler would then turn to face her Canadian opponent and see how she was doing.  It seemed that Rachel was out of it, but this match needed to go on.  Thus, she would get up and run towards the ropes using it to bounce off.  She would then approach Rachel and attempt to perform a senton on her chest.

C'mon, focus. Move. Do something. Rachel's conscious mind battled with her body to get her out of this daze, in some sort of position where she could fight, but it was about as easy as the actual physical battle she was in. Her ears rang, her vision blurred and spun about, and she generally could barely control her own body. Finally, after a huge push of willpower and a few moments of relative rest, her vision and hearing started coming back, and the white blob above her came into focus... revealing itself to be Akiha's descending body, crashing across her chest.

"Gah, fuck!" Rachel shouted as her opponent slammed into her, popping up into a sitting position before rolling over onto her side. For a moment, she just lie there, clutching her breast, before climbing to her hands and knees and attempting to push herself to her feet with the steadiness of a raging drunk. If she could get up, she'd take a swing for Akiha's face... or at least try, as it seemed her motor skills were still a bit slow on the take, with Rachel instead finding herself swinging at air before stumbling back onto her knees, one hand clapsing onto her throbbing, ringing skull.

Akiha bounced off the rope before charging towards Rachel and hitting her with a senton causing the Canadian wrestler to scream in pain which made the Japanese wrestler smile in delight.  Half the crowd would give a small applause at this while the rest booed Akiha, wanting the heel to lose.  Still it seemed her tactic was working to win over the crowd, if she could give a few more chants about Japan then she could probably build up a larger fan base.

Akiha would start to get to her feet, but much to her surprise so would her opponent who actually managed to land a punch on the Japanese wrestler face, causing her to take a step back.  "I'm surprised you can still throw a punch after all that, but it will take more than that to beat me!" stated Akiha as she would not be defeated by a single punch, instead she would attempt to return the favour and attempt to punch Rachel back in the face, trying to do more damage to the head.  The referee would start yelling at the two, telling them to stop punching.  Though punches were technically not allowed, no one had ever been disqualified for throwing a punch, instead all it did was get the referee to yell at them.

Woah. Of the three Akiha's in Rachel's vision, she actually swung for the right one. Of course, then all three of them managed to connect with a return blow right across her cheek, knocking the stumbling girl onto her back. The referee scolded the both of them, but Rachel couldn't actually tell what she was saying, the ringing in her ears was too loud. Instead, she lie on her back, taking a few deep breaths as she decided she'd have to try something different.

When Rachel climbed to her feet this time, she wrapped both arms in front of her face, intent on protecting her head. Sure, it wasn't exactly an offensive maneuver, but she couldn't take any more punishment there- at this point it felt like her skull would split open and spill her brains all over the place.

Akiha ignored the referee as she saw that her punch had managed to take down her opponent.  Yet a bit to her surprise and delight her opponent managed to somehow get up while covering her face.  She wasn't sure how Rachel could keep getting up, but she was glad since that meant she could put on a better show.  “You can take a beating, I will give you that.” stated the Japanese wrestler as she smirked.  The crowd was now divided half and half, some cheering for Akiha while others cheering for Rachel.

The Japanese wrestler would now attempt to grab one of Rachel's arms and attempt to Irish whip her into the ropes.  If successful she would wait for her opponent to come back and hit her with a drop kick in hopes of knocking her down.  If her attack missed, the Japanese wrestler would fall to the ground and injury herself but if it landed, she would then quickly get up and run towards the ropes before bouncing off.  She would attempt to hit Rachel with a drop kick if the Canadian wrestler was up, otherwise she would go with a Senton.

The downside to blocking one's face with one's arms was the way it obscured one's vision, and Rachel didn't really have any other way to know that Akiha was coming for her until one of her arms was wrenched away from her face, tossing her towards the ropes. Still too dizzy to really coordinate herself, when she reached the end of the ring Rachel didn't really manage to turn around, instead bouncing backwards off the ropes, almost stumbling onto her ass. She would have, too, if a pair of boots hadn't collided with her back just before, sending her back over to the ropes with a yelp. This time, Rachel grabbed on, more for her own stability than anything, turning around just in time to see a second dropkick heading her way.

Maybe it was instinct, maybe it was sheer luck, or maybe Rachel was actually learning a thing or two from all these beatings, but when those boots collided with her sternum, she brought both arms down like a clamp, holding on tight and leaving Akiha vulnerable to an attack of her own. Or rather, she would have been vulnerable, if she hadn't come flying in like a bullet. Instead, the kick caused Rachel to fold over, slipping backwards through the ropes and out of the ring, with Akiha in tow.

Akiha grabbed Rachel and Irish whip her into the ropes.  Yet to her surprise the Canadian wrestler didn't bounce back when she hit the ropes but instead started to stumble.  Not wanting to waste her chance, the Japanese wrestler charged forward and hit Rachel with a drop kick, sending her opponent over the ropes but not out of the ring yet.  Seeing her chance Akiha ran away from Rachel before bouncing off the ropes and charging straight at her, intending to finish the job.  She would hit her opponent with another drop kick but as she did, she saw the Canadian grab Akiha feet and drag her out of the ring with her, making both wrestlers land hard on the ground.

Both Akiha and Rachel were now out of the ring after taking a tumble.  Though it was a bit of a fall, this was the first real damage that the Japanese wrestler had taken thus, she began to pick herself up.  She needed to stay in control of this match, show the higher ups that she wasn't a pushover.  Once Akiha was up she would charge forward and attempt to kick her opponent right in the head, trying to capitalize on the damage she had previously done there.

Okay, that... worked. Kinda. Rachel found herself sprawled out on the hard ground outside the mat, but she had managed to bring Akiha with her out of the ring, and as she looked to her side she could tell that the Japanese girl wasn't doing so hot from it. Of course, any and all efforts to move were met with enough pain that it was pretty clear she was still doing a hell of a lot better than Rachel was herself, but it was a step, at least.

And then there was that other thing. The referee. She was counting. Rachel wasn't exactly sure why, but she didn't like it, and her gut told her she needed to get her ass back in that ring before the count got to... something. That in mind, she rolled over to her side to prop herself to her hands and knees, grabbing the apron so she could-

Rachel's thoughts and movements were interrupted, however, as another swift boot to the head sent her sprawling out again with another yelp of pain. Both hands clapsed over her throbbing temples, she was starting to have enough. "Gah... fucking- cut it out!" she moaned groggily, still trying to get herself back on her feet.

Akiha had managed to get back on her feet despite the fall she had taken.  She could see her opponent was starting to do the same.  The Japanese wrestler ran forward before kicking Rachel right in the face.  The Canadian wrestler cried out in pain as the kick connected before swearing at her and telling her to cut it out.  “Cut it out?  Are you serious, we are in a match!  This is what the people want to see and what the higher ups are looking for.  I am not going to blow my chance at getting into Avalanche.” stated Akiha in a frustrated voice.  

The Japanese wrestler would then attempt to grab her Canadian counterpart by the hair with one hand and her clothes by the other hand.  If successful, she would then try to throw her straight into the steel stairs head first, trying to focus on her head and effectively knock her opponent out.  The referee at this point had gotten to the two count, but Akiha knew there was still plenty of time.
