Re: AVQ: Rachel Carin Vs. Akiha Kosha
Akiha was a bit shock when she learned the news that she was a possible candidate for Avalanche. She didn't expect to actually take part in Avalanche and thought she would need to wait an entire year before even being given the chance. Yet the higher ups in AFW had decided to give her a shot for some reason. Now that wasn't to say her spot in Avalanche was guaranteed, she would be facing an opponent in a one on one match and if she did well enough then she might end up in Avalanche. Thus, she was going to need to go all out in this match and show the people running the show that she was worthy to be in Avalanche.
The raven hair wrestler was now in her locker room, fully dress with her two maids. She had gotten Kohaku and Hisui to inspect her uniform and made sure everything was right. Once the task was done she would take a deep breathe. There was one thing bugging her, there were several other matches like this going on, other wrestlers who had been given the same offer and chances were there were only two slots for the Avalanche match available. This meant Akiha was not only fighting her opponent, but she was fighting an army of other wrestlers indirectly as well. This was a fight like she had never experienced before. Still the Japanese wrestler had been under such pressure before and knew how to deal with it.
A knock was then heard on the door, Hisui moved to answer it. She spent a moment talking to an AFW employee before nodding her head and closing the door. The younger maid then turned to face Akiha and told her it was time for her match to start. The raven hair wrestler would nod her head as she then got up and thank her two maids before exiting her locker room. She now made her way to the staging area, just waiting outside the entrance.
Several moments pass by before Akiha heard her theme music play and thus made her way to the ramp and towards the ring. The majority of the audience would boo her, hating the heel for her cheap tactics, but there was a small minority that actually cheered for her and this time Akiha could hear them, bring a smile to her face. The raven hair wrestler would wave to crowd before sliding under the bottom rope and entering the ring. She would climb the ropes and wave once again before jumping off and making her way to the turnbuckle where she rested upon it, now waiting for her opponent to show up.

Re: AVQ: Rachel Carin Vs. Akiha Kosha
So, Rachel was nominated to compete in the Avalanche event. Once she found out what that even meant, she was... well, still kind of confused. On multiple levels. Apparently being a candidate for this event was something to be honored about, but she wasn't really sure why, if there still wasn't any guarantee that she would get in. Then there was the question of what happened if she did. Given that it was a pay-per-view event, it was fair to assume that she would get more money if she did even one match during the event, unless the big dogs were really that greedy, but she didn't really find anything about a belt or trophy. Not that Rachel cared about that sort of thing it's just... that's what these wrestler types seemed to get hyped about.
And then there was the big one. The burning question on the back of her mind up until she was waiting for her entrance to the stage. The question of why. Why her. Who in their right mind decided that this kid, who gets the fuck kicked out of her on the regular, would be a good candidate for a competitive event? Since she had arrived in Japan, Rachel had not won a single one of her matches. She hadn't even come close. Did watching her get beat up (not to mention sexually violated) really sell that well?
Whatever the reasons, she was nominated, and the promise of some extra cash was enough for her to join up. Really it would be the same as any normal matches anyway, though probably less hardcore, so really it only made sense to go for it. What was also interesting was that she didn't need to win this preliminary match to get in, just put on a good show. Maybe this was her chance to find out if watching her get beat up was really worth paying for after all. Then again, who knows? Maybe she'd pull out a win this time.
As she pondered these thoughts back and forth, her theme music started playing, cueing her entrance into the arena. For the most part, the crowd cheered when she entered, maybe rooting for the underdog or just showing some general enthusiasm. Her ears picked up some distinctive boos and jeers, though, significantly less loud than the rest of the crowd, but enough to get to her, even if she didn't show it. Probably some people who wanted to watch an actual fight, and not some sort of medieval torture session. Or maybe people really just did want to watch her be miserable, and were willing to participate if necessary.
As she climbed through the ropes, Rachel noticed that the other girl in the ring had a very professional appearance about her. She was about the same height as Rachel, and even had a similar hair color, minus the (currently ice blue) streaks. This was probably both good and bad news: it meant this girl knew what she was doing, but also that she wasn't some sort of psycho just in it for the sadistic pleasure of it. Probably. Maybe. Hopefully.
Either way, a friendly greeting never hurt, at least not in a match where there were actual rules. "Hey there, name's Rachel. Let's have a good match, 'kay?" she said with a smile.

Re: AVQ: Rachel Carin Vs. Akiha Kosha
Akiha rested on the turnbuckle as she waited for her opponent to show up. Usually, she would do research on her opponent and find out everything she could about them but this time Akiha was unable to do so. She had only recently been informed about the match and thus had to quickly prepare for it without being able to research her opponent. Thus, when her opponent theme song started to play, Akiha would keep her eyes on the entrance. She then spotted her opponent coming down the ramp towards the ring. Most of the audience was applauding her, but she could hear the sound of a few people booing her. Why would some of the audience boo her, if she was a heel then the vast majority would be booing her. Akiha would push these thoughts aside and focus on the match.
She then watched her opponent enter the ring. The two actually look somewhat similar, they were about the same height and had the same hair color. Though her opponent was a foreigner which would make the two easy to tell apart. Akiha then watched as her opponent move to the center of the ring and introduce herself. “Nice to meet you, Rachel, my name is Akiha Kosha. Let us give them a match they will not soon forget.” stated the Raven hair wrestler as moved to the center of the ring and offered her hand to be shaken.

Re: AVQ: Rachel Carin Vs. Akiha Kosha
Uh oh. Rachel did not like how that was worded. Sure, a memorable match was kind of the goal here, but hearing it from her opponent usually meant they were looking to get violent. Man, why weren't there any match types where competitors fiercely talked out their problems?
"Uh, yeah…" she replied nervously as the handshake ended, taking a step back in preparation for the bell. Well, if her opponent was going to give it her all, Rachel might as well do the same…
As a loud "ding" rang out, Rachel tried to seize the initiative by charging in with her shoulder. She had started like this before, to poor effect at best, but this time she looked to make it a bit more complex. If Akiha did manage to give her the slip, Rachel would try to spin around and swing her arm out, almost like a backwards clothesline. If she screwed up, which wouldn't be that difficult, she'd be dangerously open, but she'd be a lot worse off if she just stood there like an idiot.

Re: AVQ: Rachel Carin Vs. Akiha Kosha
Akiha took a moment to scan her opponent as they shook hands, it seemed her foreign opponent was nervous about this match or something. “Hi, this is a wrestling match. Give me your all okay? Win or lose, make sure you have no regrets in this match.” stated Akiha as she tried to give her opponent some confidence. Not only did Akiha need to be at a hundred percent but so did her opponent in order to put a good match. The Japanese wrestler would then go to her corner, getting ready for the match to start.
The bell then rang indicating the start of the match. Akiha was a bit surprised how her opponent decided to start the match. Usually most would go for a simple lock up but Rachel had started with a shoulder charge. Though a shoulder charge was a brutal move, it was also a dangerous one. The Japanese wrestler would attempt to counter this attack by hitting her foreign opponent with a big boot to the face, in hopes of knocking her down and stopping the charge dead in its tracks.

Re: AVQ: Rachel Carin Vs. Akiha Kosha
Well, shit. Rachel's well-constructed plan went to shit right off the bat as her face collided with Akiha's boot, sending her toppling backwards and slamming into the mat with a thud. The crowd cheered as the action got started so quickly, but this was not how Rachel was hoping to get things started. For a moment, Rachel rubbed the back of her head, groaning in pain, before climbing back to her feet and going for a simple punch to the face. Assuming her opponent wasn't all over her before she could get up, that is.

Re: AVQ: Rachel Carin Vs. Akiha Kosha
Akiha boot connected straight into Rachel's face, sending her opponent tumbling into the wrestling mat. The audience cheered at seeing such an opening. Yet the Japanese wrestler wasn't done yet. She would charge forward, attempting to kick Rachel right in the face before she could get up. Akiha didn't want to give her opponent a chance to recover. She was going to show how good and serious of a wrestler she was. If her attack connected she would then try to start stomping on her opponent head, focusing the damage in one spot.

Re: AVQ: Rachel Carin Vs. Akiha Kosha
Well, guess it was true what they said about best laid plans of mice and jobbers. Barely getting to her knees, Rachel was once again greeted by a boot to the face, crying out in pain as she hit the mat again. Akiha followed up with a series of stomps to Rachel's head, and she could barely do anything but grit her teeth and grunt through the pain, each stomp making her that much dizzier. For all her sportsmanlike talk earlier on, this Akiha girl didn't give any quarter. Then neither did Amy, and Hayasui was even worse, but in the midst of getting her skull stomped beneath another girl's boot, that wasn't really all that reassuring.

Re: AVQ: Rachel Carin Vs. Akiha Kosha
Akiha had managed to land several stomps on Rachel. That was three direct attacks to the head that she managed to land. The Japanese wrestler would now attempt one last brutal stomp on her opponent head. If successful she would then attempt to grab Rachel hair in order to lift her up. Once her opponent was up on her feet, Akiha would attempt to tuck Rachel head under her arm while putting her own head under Rachel's arm.
If successful she would then grab onto her opponent uniform before lifting her up for a suplex. Yet Akiha would keep Rachel up in the air, letting the blood all flow to her head, while parading her around the ring. After holding her opponent for a while, the Japanese wrestler would start to fall back. “For Japan!” shouted Akiha as she tried to gain the audience to her side by inspiring nationalism as she then attempted to hit Rachel with a brain buster.
