Catch Your Breath

Alaina did expect submissions from Ace... but the speed of the transition was new to her! "Argh... damn!" Alaina muttered as she knew she was stuck in an ankle lock! After one second Alaina knew she could possibly get herself on her side, then her back to deliver a mule kick! It worked in this situation before....

However, one second to realize what happened and get a plan left her still trying to work her way to her side at two seconds, giving the point to Ace! "Damn, you got that locked in fast and I am just a little bit too slow." Alaina said with a laugh, laying on her side as Ace still had her foot. Once Ace let go, Alaina would dust herself off and get back to her feet.

Ace, known for semi-complicated submission holds like the STF or Triangle Choke, had just gone for the simplest, quickest, and most direct hold she could think of, and it paid off, catching Alaina by surprise and lasting a full two seconds before she was able to break out, giving her the point.

"Woo! Not bad Alaina, you caught me off guard at first there, but I'm still quicker!"

She said, helping her friend up and patting her back, before looking over at Valley Doll, smirking wickedly.

"Looks like I get to play with my Doll..."

Valley had already hopped on the apron when it became clear that Haley was going to pull out a win this round, giving a few claps as she leaned over the ropes. As soon as it became clear it was her turn, she leaped up, grabbed the rope, and swung her way into the ring with a single bound, landing only a few feet away from her girlfriend and returning the wicked smile.

"Sorry, babe." She wagged a finger at her young lover. "This Doll plays with you."

Valley paused and looked up at the ceiling, as she started to bounce on her toes. "...not a bad tagline, actually. Got to use that."

Without a word of warning, she suddenly burst into action and leaped towards Haley, closing in fast. Valley spun around as she neared and shot her leg out, trying to plant the edge of her foot right in that soft, sexy stomach with a spinning heel kick. A little something to show her young friends why she was keeping her pads on.

There was a Soviet Russia joke in there somewhere, but before Haley could actually say it, Valley's foot planted itself in her stomach, driving some of the air out of the girls body, making her gasp as she bent over, coughing and trying to get her air back.

"Ughh...c-cheap shot..."

"OhmyGodHaley!"

Valley broke out of her stance and rushed over to her girlfriend's side with worry filled in her eyes, trying to help her stand straight. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, got a little carried away. My bad. You okay?"

Haley blinked and looked up at Valley, before growling and shoving her girlfriend away from her, shaking her head as she stood back up, still rubbing her gut a little.

"The hell are you doing? We're sparring remember? If you're going to stop every time you connect, then whats the point of even wrestling each other!?"

She yelled, her anger at letting herself get hit so fast turning towards frustration at Valley stopping the spar. Stepping in, Haley threw a kick of her own, right for Valley's side, looking to smash it into her. She'd MAKE her take this seriously.

Valley knew she was in trouble the moment she heard Haley growling - this was the exact sort of thing that caused them trouble in their relationship the last time, after all. Valley though she was mostly over it, but, well, old habits died hard.

She paid for it with a swift kick in the side, hitting with some serious power, a sharp reminder of what her girlfriend was capable of. These were the same legs that knocked her out last year, and she needed to take them seriously.

"You're right." Valley took a few quick steps away, staying on her toes as she moved around the ring. "I got carried away. Won't happen again." Her soft eyes suddenly hardened, muscles tensed. "Serious."

She dashed in with a quick step, threw a fast jab towards Haley's face, then swung her leg at her thigh with a shin kick, hammering it right into the muscle.

Some would say that Haley being so willing to strike her girlfriend that hard must either not care about her or just be a bitch. Neither was true. Haley was a fighter, had been fighting since before she was an adult. Valley was not only a fighter, but a second generation fighter at that. It's what they did.

She loved her Doll, no doubt about that, but she refused to let anybody go easy on her in the ring, especially not Valley Doll. Not again.

She got what she wanted alright, getting a hard fist right to her face, causing her to stagger back as a kick hit her thigh, forcing a yell out of as she stumbled, slightly off balance. Needing to keep the veteran from closing in, Ace whipped her arm out, aiming a hard knife edged chop right for her girlfriends smaller bust, where she wouldn't be padded.

"Sorry!"

She yelled in advance. She'd feel bad for it, but could at least make up for it later.

Valley had been working on her punches, and while she doubted she would ever be able to win a fistfight with any of the AFW's bigger brawlers, she was glad to see her jab was good enough to land and set up her kicks. She didn't shy away when Haley staggered back from the blow, either. Attack Mode was on, 100%, and she was already on the move...

...which turned out not to be the best idea, since she wound up running right into a nasty knife edge chop on her poor, shrunken babies. "Gah!" Valley stumbled back and brought her hands up in full defense, falling back towards the corner as she covered up her chest.

The corner. Perfect!

Angling herself just right, Haley charged towards her blonde girlfriend, ducking her head down and trying to ram her shoulder into Valley's gut!
