Tag Elimination: The Valkyries Vs. Blaise Cameron, Amy Poford & Mariko Ishii

Divine started to breath a sigh relief when she was released, thinking her escape had earned her a moment's rest - that was usually how it worked, right? The 'good guys' always gave their opponents a moment to get up and catch their breath, and she really needed it.

If that was a rule, it wasn't one Mariko had ever read. There was no rest, here - one moment, Divine was down and trying to get back up, the next there were a pair of slender fingers digging in her hair, pulling her the rest of the way. "Let go of my hair!"

To Divine's surprise, Mariko actually did what she was asked and let her go...so she could shove her head under her shoulder and ram her head into the mat with a crushing DDT.  The Brazilian's body flipped over and flopped hard on her back with a resounding thud, where she immediately began to grab her head and roll around with the pain. "Bitch! Fucking bitch!"

As the saying goes, be careful what you wish for. Divine asked - no, demanded that Mariko let go of her hair. She did, only to spike the Valkyrie with the ddt immediately after. The crowd unanimously winced and groaned at the sight and impact, and quickly Mariko was on the move once again to capitalize.

Picking herself up, the Japanese vixen shifted toward the rolling Brazilian and crawled over her torso. Mario brought a knee up on top of Divine’s nearest arm while reaching with a hand to hold down the other one, and roughly pressed her free forearm right up against Divine’s face for a pin attempt. Balancing anger with controlled logic was no easy task for Mariko, especially when she was nowhere near through making Divine pay for her actions. But if she managed to eliminate her early, that would make her look weak in front of her whole gang. And if Divine kicked out, then Mariko would have plenty of reason to keep dismantling her. Win-win. Either way, she glared down into Divine’s eyes while the ref knelt beside them and slapped the mat to start the count.

“One...!”

It was in that moment, as she laid on her back with a throbbing headache, where Divine realized just how much she hated Mariko, and she swore that every little bit of pain she’d taken would get repaid. With interest.

She saw her chance as the lithe little bitch started to crawl up her body, going for the pin and pressing her down hard, making sure he arms were secured. Divine returned the angry glare in her eyes with one of her own, making sure the hatred between them was clear and understood, so when Divine did what she was about to do, her reasoning would be obvious. ”Fuck…”

”2…!”

She jerked up as soon as the second count hit, but that wasn’t all she did. She lifted her shoulder up just enough to block the referee’s view, and then she bit down hard on Mariko’s forearm, making sure to dig in hard for as much pain as she could inflict. All she needed was a little opening.

Seeing her hatred returned through Divine’s glare somehow only increased Mariko’s desire to hurt her foe even more, if that were even possible. For a brief moment, it seemed none of that might even matter, as the ref’s hand struck the mat to make the two count. But that notion was quickly thrown right out the window as Divine thrust a shoulder up to break the pin. And then...

A bloodcurdling shriek suddenly burst from Mariko’s lips as Divine’s teeth bit down onto her forearm and dug in. Almost immediately she threw the palm of her free hand right against the Valkyrie’s head while trying to yank her arm out of the girl’s teeth.

“AGH! FUCK!” she’d shout while jerking back from Divine, clutching at her arm while looking down to examine it. The bite had broken the skin, and a couple trickles of blood were running down the limb. The moment felt oddly similar to when Mariko had bitten Divine’s lip after their first match not too long ago. It seemed the Brazilian still felt Mariko hadn’t been fully paid back for that just yet...

Divine didn't exactly relish the taste of Mariko in her mouth - though of swallowing the bitch'es blood disgusted her beyond belief. And she wound up taking a palm in the face for her troubles, which was far from being pleasant. But the move accomplished what it needed to - she had her opening, just begging to be capitalized on. The lovely sound of Mariko's banshee screaming was a great bonus, too.

Payback. That was what it all boiled down to, right?

Divine reeled from the palm strike, but recover fast enough and went back on the attack. First order of business was getting out of this position. With that in mind, she threw a quick jab at Mariko's face while she was busy examining the wound, then planted her feet down hard on the floor and bridged, shooting her hips up fast to try and roll Mariko off. "Hope Yamato heard that." She had a dark chuckle as she sprang into action. "He's watching, isn't he?"

Mariko had freed her arm from Divine’s teeth, but it still hurt like a bitch. Thin trails of blood ran down her forearm, though she quickly brought a hand over the bite to try to cover it up. But just as she did, Divine bucked her hips up and sent Mariko rolling away.

The Japanese beauty quickly rolled up to a knee, still clutching her arm while glaring at Divine, and growling at the mention of her brother once again. “None of your goddamn business..” she spat back in response. Mariko knew Yamato was watching from the skybox, but she damn sure wasn’t about to tell Divine where he was.

Quite eager to take the focus off of Yamato as quickly as possible, Mariko pushed back up to her feet and sprang forward, charging right at Divine in somewhat reckless attempt to spear the Valkyrie and tackle her right back down to the mat!

Divne's smile grew even wider and darker as Mariko's reply told her everything she needed to know. She prided herself on being able to read people, and right now, her furious and fiesty opponent might as well have been an open storybook. "Yeah." She licked her lips and bared her fangs. "He's watching."

Sure enough, Mariko couldn't wait to get her hands on Divine again, but this time, the Brazilian was ready. She stepped back as her opponent came forward, drew back her long and lithe leg, then swung it forward at just the right time, hitting Mariko in the face with a vicious knee, making sure to use her own momentum against her.

In her eagerness to take the fight to Divine once again to exact her revenge, Mariko failed to anticipate her foe’s reaction. And as she lunged out for the attempted spear, her arms and shoulder caught nothing but air. But even worse, Mariko’s pretty face was emphatically introduced to the Brazilian’s knee! Another cry of pain burst from the Japanese beauty’s lips, but it was masked by the echoing impact of the collision and the crowd’s unanimous shout in awe of the sickening strike.

Needless to say, the hit rattled Mariko’s brain around, and she wobbled dizzily for a brief second before collapsing onto her back. Her hands moved to cover her face, and one of her boots lightly kicked on the mat a few times. But it was clear Divine had gotten her good just now, putting Mariko in quite a precarious situation...

Divine watched with extreme pleasure as the kick connected and dropped her hated rival hard on her back, finally swinging the momentum firmly in her favor. Before the hometown heroine's body had even settled into the canvas, Divine had already thrown her hands up and did a quick twirl around the ring, laughing at the crowd jeered her way.

"And that's how it's done!" Mako cried out and pumped her fist in the air. She leaned over the ropes and spat towards Mariko, adding a fair amount of insult to the injury and getting a fresh wave of hate from the people. ”Keep on her! Don’t let her get up!”

Divine bowed and blew a few quick kisses to the audience, hoping that one of them went in Yamato’s direction, before she followed through on Mako’s advice. She skipped over to Mariko’s fallen body, brought her boot up and hammered it down one, two, three times into her stomach, rapidly drilling her into the canvas. ”This how you thought it would go, bitch? Huh?”

Mariko would’ve had a few things to say about Mako spitting at her, but she hadn’t seen it, and she was far too dazed to do anything about it anyway. “Ugh...” she groaned, her skull throbbing in pain from the intense hit. But, even as proud as the Valkyrie clearly was of her work, she clearly wasn’t going to let up on Mariko just yet.

A boot stomped down onto Mariko’s stomach, drawing another pained gasp from her lips. Then another, and then another. Three times the foot hammered down on her, and the floored Ishii curled up, arms moving over her stomach in hopes of protecting it from any further assault. No, this definitely wasn’t how Mariko thought this would all go. Quite the opposite, in fact. But even still her resolve was far from shaken.

“Shut the fuck up...” she growled through grit teeth, rolling away from Divine and getting to her hands and knees. Mariko had a feeling the Valkyrie wasn’t just going to stand there and wait for her to get up, but she had to at least try.
