Mari Fuuma v. Sermis Languis

Backstage right before the entrance to the arena, Mari tightened her hakama to ensure that it said on her hips before moving on to ensure that other parts of her attire was secure. It was time for another match, so far Mari has had a pretty good record in her matches so far and she was prepared to add another victory to her list. Soon she heard her theme song started to play as she was given the signal for showtime as she walked up and stairs, through the curtains and on to the stage. Once on stage, Mari saw the roaring crowd and the bright lights which was the special sight that only people of her professional could see every night.

Spreading her arms back while crouching and leaning to the left, doing the 'signature' pose she was told to do. She was still getting used to it as she remembered being told to stay like that for a few seconds so that people could get their photos of it. When she deemed it sufficient time, Mari would push herself forward as she made her way down to the ring. She began to wonder what her opponent would be like tonight, although she was confident in her wrestling ability she couldn't hold back her curiosity. Her two wins were won under hardcore rules, meaning that this match would showcase her wrestling abilities rather than her brutality.

Climbing up the stairs to the ring and ascending the turnbuckle to the second rope, Mari did the same pose for the fans before vaulting over the top rope and into the ring. Landing in the ring she would soon turn her attention towards the stage as she backed into her corner on the otherside of the ring. She has heard that this was her opponent's second match, having won her first one. Mari knew that she would have some momentum behind her but so did Mari as it was a match to see which one of them would still be standing without a stain on their records.

Sermis was now in her locker room, preparing herself for her next match.  Her locker room was pretty empty, after all Sermis didn't spend much time here.  She only used it to get changed and ready for her matches, other wise she would either be in Akiha changing room or at her apartment.  She started to think about her opponent, Mari Fuuma.  From the quick research she had done on her opponent it seemed that they both had a similar fighting style.  Though Sermis had won her first and only match, Mari Fuuma had won both her matches.  Thus this would probably be a hard match but then again, this is what she signed up for.  She wanted to fight tough wrestlers like Mari, thus she was looking forward to this match.

The raven hair wrestler then began to check her uniform.  She check her leotard and her stockings as well before putting on her gloves.  A knock was then heard before Sermis was informed that it was time for her match.  She nodded her head before getting up and exiting her locker room.  The half Japanese wrestler now made her way to the ramp as she then waited for her theme song to play.  She then exited the ramp and made her way towards the ring as she waved to everyone and gave some of them handshakes.

She would then enter the ring by going under the bottom ropes while performing a split, showing the audience her flexibility.  Sermis then got up and looked at her opponent while giving a smirk.  “Greetings, I am Sermis and from what I seen, you seem to be a pretty tough wrestler, the kind of opponent I enjoy to fight against.  So let us have a spectacular match my dear.” stated Sermis in her confident yet respectful tone.

Mari watched in anticipation as her opponent appeared on stage, Mari knew who she was. Since she herself was also a new wrestler in the league, she kept tabs on other up and coming wrestlers that also started in the league. She knew that Sermis was also a power wrestler, using hard hitting moves to weaken her opponent, much like herself. It was definitely going to be a physical match in Mari's opinion as she watched Sermis enter the ring, showing off a level of flexibility that Mari did not have, she could only bring up one of her legs to that kind of level.

Seeing Sermis give her a smirk and address her, Mari return the smirk as she was just as excited to test herself against a strong competitor. "I'm Mari." she started with a blunt response, "I'm looking forward to seeing what you can do. I've been wanting to fight against someone that was worth my time." she finished as it could clearly be seen on how different the two's speech patterns were, Sermis with her respectful and even elegant like tone next to Mari's brash and blunt tone. It could've been the only difference between them for all Mari knew.

Standing in her corner, she waited for the ref girl to start the match as she bounced around on her feet, keeping her body loose before the match began. The bell soon rang afterwards as the silver haired wrestler exited her corner and began to circle around the center of the ring. Mari's first order of business was to find out how strong Sermis really was and the best way to get that was through first hand experience which just so happens that a test of strength, as the name suggests, would be a great way to find out. Moving to the center of the ring, Mari raised her hands with them outstretched, inviting Sermis to accept her challenge.

Sermis watch closely at her opponent response.  It seemed there were some difference between the two, her opponent was more blunt and brash.  Then again such things were to be expected, they were after all fighting in a wrestling ring.  Yet they also had some similarities, both of them were looking for tough opponents to fight and used the same basic move sets.  Perhaps Sermis has found a rival, the question now was, would this be a friendly rival or a hated one?  “Then we both seek the same thing my dear Mari.  I guess this makes us rivals.” stated Sermis to her newly announce rival.

While her opponent bounce her feet, Sermis remained calm and simply rested on the turnbuckle, waiting for the match to start.  Then the bell rang, indicating the match had started.  The raven hair wrestler would copy her silver her opponent movement as she also circled around the ring, stalking her opponent while looking for a weakness to expose.  The half Japanese wrestler then watch her opponent move to the center of the ring and raise her hands, challenging Sermis to a contest of strength.

Sermis would smirk at the challenge before raising her hands and slowly approaching while looking for any possible signs of sneak attacks.  “Very well my dear Mari, I accept your challenge.” stated Sermis as she would now attempt to lock hands.  She was only interested in seeing who was stronger so that she could plan out the rest of the match.  If they lock hands, Sermis would then find herself being a bit overpowered as her opponent seemed to posses slightly greater strength.  The raven hair wrestler would attempt to counter by trying to knee her opponent in the gut while trying to break out of the hold at the same time.

"Indeed." was Mari's only response to Sermis declaring themselves rivals. It was a great idea, since Mari got that feeling that she was going to enjoy fighting the Half Japanese in front of her. If she didn't have to worry about keeping her record spotless, maybe she would've been just fine fighting Sermis. With her hands raised, she smiled as Sermis accepted her challenge as their fingers entwined and locked before both girls pushed into each other, trying to get the early advantage with their strength. Mari found herself winning slightly as she managed to push back Sermis.

It was definitely a close match, the two seemed close in physical power which Mari thought that it wouldn't amount to much with just the bit she had over Sermis. This gave Mari an idea of what to expect, definitely Sermis could pull off all of the power moves they shared and probably ones they didn't share, it meant keeping the advantage much more important in keeping herself fresh and weakening Sermis.

However, that advantage was nulled when Sermis' knee connected with her stomach. "Guh!" she spat out as she hunched over, releasing one of the hands in order to cover her gut as she gasped for air. Mari couldn't be too mad at Sermis for the cheap shot, because it was something she would've done if she had the disadvantage in a lock up. They really were similar as Sermis broke the test of strength and how stood unopposed as Mari was hunched over.

Though Mari response was short it was also straight to the point.  It seemed the two had a similar thought process, heck not only could they become rivals but possibly a tag team as well.  Then again perhaps Sermis was getting a bit to a head of herself.  The raven hair wrestler would need to test her opponent out first, to see what Mari was made of.  It was one thing to watch them on TV and observe them, it was another thing to fight them in the ring.

As their fingers were now lock and both of them began to attempt to overpower one another, the raven hair wrestler found herself being slowly being pushed back and overwhelmed.  Her opponent was a bit stronger, this meant she could probably lift Sermis up as well and hit her with all sorts of devastating moves.  If her opponent had any wrestling knowledge which Sermis assumed she did, then she would have already reach the same conclusion as well.  That being said, submission holds would probably work.

Now that she had the knowledge she required she thrust her knee straight into Mari stomach.  She heard her opponent grunt while hunching over as the crowd started to boo Sermis for the cheap blow.  “Sorry my dear Mari but I am not here to play nice.” stated Sermis as she would attempt to place her opponent in a head lock.  If successful she would then attempt to perform a DDT in order to truly gain control of the match.

Mari grunted as Sermis locked her head in a head lock, bringing her hands up to try and pry her head free from the arm. The girl was smart, trying to wear down Mari with the headlock and trying to keep her under her pace. It was a poor start for the silver haired wrestler and she didn't want to have a poor showing that leads into her first defeat on the roster. The strong arms of Sermis around her head wasn't an easy thing to peel off of her head as she decided to then try and wrap her arms around Sermis' body, trying to lock in a body lock to show that she wasn't going to be out powered so soon.

However, because of her body lock it flowed completely into Sermis' plan of DDTing her. With the top of her head hitting the mat, Mari's body flipped over on to her back and the momentum of the DDT caused her to sit up. Her head was spinning as she had a dazed look in her eyes before attempting to roll over onto her knees. The silver haired wrestler was rattled, but she was not done just yet as she tried to get up to her feet.

Mari was only just little less durable than she was strong, it would take more heavy moves like that DDT to keep her down. But the DDT was definitely enough to keep her staggered and prevent her from mounting an offense.

As Sermis lock her hands around her rival she could feel Mari trying to fight back.  Yet the raven hair wrestler would not be denied her prize and thus didn't let her opponent break the hold as she continued to squeeze.  It seemed that her silver hair opponent had caught on and decided to instead place Sermis in a body lock.  Yet Sermis was not interested in an endurance contest, no she had a plan and that was to win the match at almost any cost.

As her opponent finish locking in, Sermis smirk before performing the DDT, planting her rival face straight into the canvas.  The crowd let out a large “OH” as they reeled back from seeing the impact of that move.  This resulted in the raven hair wrestler letting out a smile as she then looked at Mari.  It seemed that her opponent wasn't staying down and was already getting up.  “Still got some fight in you, my dear Mari, wonderful.” stated Sermis as she also got up.

It seemed that her DDT had staggered her opponent, thus Sermis would attempt to setup a fisherman suplex.  She would start her attempt by trying to place her rival head under her arm while doing the same with her own.  If successful the raven hair wrestler would then attempt to grab her silver hair opponent leg and then proceed to lift her in the air.  She wanted to win but if she could look good to then that would be like icing on the cake.  Thus if she managed to lift her opponent, she would hold her in the air for a few seconds, showing off her body while letting the blood rush to her head before finally slamming her back on the wrestling mat.

Mari didn't expect any mercy to be shown to her, because if the position were reversed, she wouldn't have missed a beat and still be on her opponent. She'd expected Sermis to hit another big move on her while she was still down and dazed. Shaking her head to try and get her vision back. Stuck on her knees as her head was spinning, Mari could just hear Sermis though the ringing in her ears as she felt the raven haired girl descend upon her. Feeling the arm wrap around her head and then her leg, Mari was soon exposed to Sermis' power as she was lifted up and stayed there for a few good seconds, the blood rushing to her managing to eliminate Mari's grogginess and replaced it with a headache as she became aware of where she was.

"Nnnn...." Mari moaned as she was scrunched up in the fisherman suplex before she was finally dropped on her back. "Gaaaah!" she cried out, sitting on her butt while arching her back with the stinging pain of being driven into the mat. It was good showing for her as she managed to get the advantage over Mari, using her power game when she had the chance with Mari staggered. All because of that one knee was all of this happening.

Still though, Mari would refuse to stay down just yet as she attempted to roll on her to her knees, panting as her head was now much clearer after the DDT. But now she was on the receiving end on a beating, knowing that if she was going to take this beating she would need to weather out the storm and seize her chance to take the advantage away from her recently acquired rival.

Sermis was now in control of the match.  She was now stringing in move after move, building up her momentum from the single kick as had landed.  As Mari got up, Sermis would once again wrap her arm around her rival neck while placing the silver hair wrestler arm over her own neck.  She then lifted her opponent up in the air, showing off her body to the crowd while letting all the blood flow into her rival head.  After about three or so seconds the raven hair wrestler would fall back as she heard her silver hair opponent moan.

As she landed on the wrestling mat, Sermis heard Mari cry out in pain.  She couldn't help but smile, not only at hearing her opponent pain but seeing her sitting back.  The raven hair wrestler couldn't help but to respect her opponent.  Not wasting any time, the raven hair wrestler would quickly get up before running towards her rival and attempting to kick her straight in the head to knock her back to the ground.  She had an advantage and didn't want to give her opponent a chance to recover or turn the match around.
