Kimmy Colton

Kimmy Colton
Kimmy Colton: Brooklyn Bruiser
Age: 20
Birthday: March 10
Height: 5’5”
Weight: Average
Hair: Platinum Blonde
Eyes: Blue
Nationality: American
Birthplace: Brooklyn, New York City, New York, United States of America
Entrance Theme: Don’t Slow Down
Style and Strategy:
Kimmy’s fighting style evolved through childhood brawls with her sisters, friends, and classmates, and was refined when she began training at a real wrestling gym at the age of fifteen. Her strength is average at best, but Kimmy compensates for that with raw energy and determination. Kimmy rarely holds anything back, preferring an all-out offensive attack consisting of lightning-fast barrages of punches and kicks punctuated by the sudden application of painful submission holds. When Kimmy does need to recover, she does not stay still, but will instead try to out-maneuver her opponent in order to buy herself some time. She performs best in fast-paced, high-octane pro-style and submission matches, and can also more than hold her own in street fights. Her least favorite match types are hentai or humiliation matches.
Statistics:
Endurance: ☆☆☆☆
Strength: ☆☆☆
Speed: ☆☆☆☆
Defense: ☆☆
Technique: ☆☆☆☆
Favored Moves:
Boston Crab, Hangman, Ceiling Hold, Backbreaker, Piledriver
Finisher:
Brooklyn Crab: Similar to the traditional Boston Crab, Kimmy will step over a supine, face-up opponent, facing their bottom and grabbing onto their legs. She then turns them over onto their front and wrenches their legs up and back, elevating them slightly and twisting them into a painful crescent shape. Once she has locked in a Boston Crab hold, however, Kimmy will add her own twist, turning slightly to the side, then lifting up a booted foot and grinding it down into the small of her opponent’s back, pulling even harder on the girl’s legs once it is accomplished to practically break her in half where Kimmy’s foot is pressed into her back.
Appearance and Attire:
Kimmy wears the same outfit that appears in the picture above during her matches, though she will sometimes take off the outer vest before beginning, and is not unwilling to change into alternative attire when it is appropriate for a match. She will flat-out refuse any sexy or cute attire unless she is coerced.
History:
Kimmy Colton was born in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up on Bay Parkway in the Bensonhurst neighborhood as the middle child in a family of three daughters. Her father was an urban planner working with the City of New York, and her mother worked at the neighborhood library. Kimmy had a very active childhood, with very little downtime—and that was the way she liked it. During the school year, she played indoor soccer and ran for her school’s cross country team, and attended a study group three times a week at her mother’s behest. During the summer, she played outdoor soccer, spent time at the library with her mother, and roamed around the neighborhood with her friends. They were a rough and tumble group, and Kimmy grew up an unabashed tomboy.
The Colton family was tightly knit, or as tightly knit as they could be with their busy schedules, but that didn’t mean that they always got along. Kimmy and her sisters—older Kelly and younger Kayley—would frequently come to blows, sometimes in a playful manner, and sometimes in a not so playful manner. Hairpulling and pinching as grade schoolers became slapping and shoving as they reached adolescence. During one argument, Kimmy piledrived Kelly into the sofa. Despite their sometimes violent interactions, Kimmy and her siblings always felt that they were on very good terms with each other, and talk with each other regularly on the phone now that they live in different parts of the world.
Kimmy and her friends were never afraid to get dirty, and in her neighborhood there were plenty of opportunities to do exactly that. The girls were never afraid to come to blows or test each other’s strength in order to solve disagreements, whether amongst themselves or with outsiders. They also fought purely for fun—Kimmy and her best friend Alessandra, who went by “Al,” could amuse themselves for hours wrestling, emulating moves and holds that they had seen watching reruns of old GLOW matches. Kimmy and Al joined a wrestling gym together at the age of fifteen, and in addition to wrestling each other would often wrestle their other friends. Occasionally, they would record their matches and put them up on YouTube. One video, a tag team match between Kimmy and Al and twin sisters Ji-min and Ji-young, got over 12,000 views during its first year on the site. Soon enough, Kimmy got a contract with a local New York City wrestling league, and starting at age seventeen she would wrestle on the weekends and in the evenings after school.
After finishing high school, Kimmy spent two years at community college earning an associate’s degree in architecture, continuing to wrestle during her free time. Kimmy would eventually win the league title, and looked for a greater challenge in the wrestling world to indulge her passion while she was still young. Late at night, after finishing a wrestling show and going out for a bite to eat with Al and their friend Kat, Kimmy had a chance encounter with a buxom, thirty-something blonde woman who seemed very interested in Kimmy’s wrestling career. The woman turned out to be an AFW recruiter, and, after attending Kimmy’s next match, offered the Brooklyn girl an opportunity to test herself in the world’s top female wrestling promotion.
Kimmy’s parents had been skeptical at first when her wrestling hobby turned into more of a way of life, but they were always supportive of Kimmy’s choices. After she earned her associate’s degree in architecture, her parents felt secure that Kimmy would have a future and a means of income even after her wrestling career was finished, working with her father at the New York City Department of City Planning as an architectural consultant. But it was Kimmy’s hope that she would have several fruitful years of wrestling to come.
Personality:
Kimmy is idealistic and determined to make an impact on the AFW universe. She can be very single-minded at times, especially when something big is on the horizon, and she will often put in whole days at the gym in the week leading up to an important match. Her dedication, while usually rather admirable, can also serve to separate her and alienate her from her peers, and Kimmy’s intensity often makes her hard to approach. When she does have time to relax, she prefers to do it alone.
When she is forced into a situation where she has to interact with others, Kimmy will usually put on a brave face and try to be nice. Her lack of social experience outside of her small circle of Brooklyn friends is usually painfully obvious, however, and she can very easily commit a faux pas or take offense to an innocent comment. As soon as possible, she will then find an excuse to leave the room, and flee back to either her apartment or the gym—the only two places where she actually feels at peace.
Kimmy is very uncomfortable if she needs to interact one-on-one with someone for a prolonged period of time. She very much values brevity in these situations, and will become very withdrawn and curt. Her body language will match this, as she will sink back into her seat and hold her arms close to her body, limiting her movement and avoiding eye contact unless the person she is interacting with says something that really piques her interest. Needless to say, Kimmy is extremely uncomfortable in sexual situations.
Match Log:
1. It's New York vs. California in Kimmy Colton's first AFW match, contested against the incomparable Valley Doll. (LOSS; 0-1)
2. Kimmy meets up with Valley Doll after their match, and is the beneficiary of the older wrestler's kindness and sage advice.
Relationships:

Trivia:
Kimmy does have a stereotypical Brooklyn accent, but it is only obvious when she gets particularly angry or otherwise emotional. She does not like it when someone points it out.
Kimmy has had the rainbow streak in her hair since she was fourteen years old. When she and her friends posted some of their wrestling videos online, she got several positive comments about the colorful streak, and so decided to keep it as a sort of signature look.
Kimmy’s favorite food is moo shu pork. Growing up in Bensonhurst, Kimmy ate a lot of different ethnic cuisines during her childhood, including Russian, Korean, Chinese, and Italian food. Kimmy herself is actually a decent cook, a skill that she had to develop largely on her own, as neither of her parents was ever particularly adept in the kitchen.
Kimmy is a big fan of the Crash Bandicoot series of video games, and owns several pieces of Crash merchandise, ranging from the mundane to the embarrassing. While she keeps some of the figurines out in her apartment and still wears an old Crash Team Racing T-shirt as her pajama top, most of the collection is kept out of sight.
Kimmy won a kids’ pie-eating contest at Coney Island at the age of twelve, beating dozens of boys and girls considerably older and larger than her. She is known among her friends for her voracious appetite and high metabolism.
Unbeknownst to Kimmy until years after she started her wrestling career, her grandmother was a wrestler, as well, performing with her five sisters as a troupe of wrestlerettes back in the 1950s. Her grandfather performed with one of his Army buddies in a comedic trampoline act, and met Kimmy’s grandmother when they both performed on The Ed Sullivan Show.
