Summer Splash 15 Tag Title Four Corners Match!

Anubis held onto Akiko's foot for a second, trying to decide what her course of action should be. She was still mildly stunned, and was not thinking nearly fast enough. She knew that she was taking too long. Either a tag was going to come from behind, or Akiko was going to attack from the front. Either way, Anubis wanted no part of it. She would try to make an escape. She would let go of Akiko's foot, shoving it back as she did, and would then tuck and roll to make that escape.

Akiko's other foot came in as she did, and it skidded along the side of Anubis's head. It arrested most of the rolling motion that the jackal-eared Goddess had, and stopped her in her tracks again, as her head now felt as though a square of sandpaper had been run along it four or five times. "Aaah..." Anubis hissed, clutching her head and closing her eyes for a second as she recovered.

She knew that she was in a vulnerable position, and she wanted to try to ward Akiko off to give herself a second to collect herself. Anubis would try to sense where Akiko was, try to feel the tremors of the ring as she moved and to hear her breathing. Anubis had never been too good at that sort of perception, of course, but it was all she could do for the moment, as she lashed out in Akiko's direction—or what she hoped was Akiko's direction—with a horse-style kick that she hoped would delay the girl for at least a few seconds.

Anubis's kick managed to do its job. It threw Akiko backwards, it hurt her, and it gave the jackal-eared Goddess a bit more time to recover. She rubbed her head and blinked her eyes. The arena lights seemed brighter now. Everything seemed a little hazy. There was no doubt about it—she was getting tired. After the tumble she took with Kat, the fighting with those fools outside of the ring, and now what felt like a full one-on-one match with Akiko, the Goddess just needed a chance to catch her breath. But she knew no such chances would be forthcoming. She had to keep going, and she had to win this right now.

She would push herself up to her feet, grunting in a distinctly un-Goddesslike fashion. She would try to rush over to where Akiko was, where she had landed in a corner of the ring. She only noticed when she had already committed to her charge what corner Akiko was in.

The bitchy Love Bunny grabbed onto Anubis's foe and hoisted her by her ruddy hair over the top rope and out of the ring. Leah wasn't very strong, or very intelligent, or very strategic, but she was dirty and she was unforgiving. They had been fighting for the last seven minutes, and Anubis would not have treated Akiko so roughly. But Leah would, and did, and now Leah was climbing into the ring, having made the tag. And a very worn-down Anubis would be facing her.

Anubis skidded to a stop just short of the corner where Akiko had been, and made to backpedal and put some distance between her and Leah. But her momentum carried her body forward, and her belly slammed right into Leah's waiting foot. That was enough to arrest all of Anubis's forward progress, and it made the Goddess cry out in pain. She stumbled back, one hand on her midsection, keeping her eyes on Leah as she tried to recover and form some sort of serviceable defense in her mind.

Bastet, meanwhile, was not liking the look of this. She had been worried enough when Anubis had been facing Akiko, with the two going back and forth, Akiko perhaps even getting the better of Bastet's older sister. But now, an exhausted Anubis was facing a relatively fresh Leah. That was an exact formula for serious trouble. "Big Sister! Get your butt over here and tag me in!" Bastet would call out urgently, pounding on the ring to make sure to get her sister's attention.

Anubis had a stomach ache now, but she knew that it was not going to last forever. The kick had hurt, but it was far from devastating. Anubis had been perfectly happy to let Leah get into the ring. Anubis was tired from her battle with Akiko, and still felt a few pangs from the earlier fighting she had done, but she didn't feel as though she was helpless or defenseless. As Leah hopped into the ring with her, Anubis gritted her teeth, took a breath, and prepared to fight back.

Leah moved quickly, though. The Love Bunny rushed forward, aiming herself at the slightly-doubled Anubis. But Anubis was not immobilized or incapable of fighting back. Expecting a headlock or some similar strike to her head, Anubis would swing her foot, trying to take Leah's legs out from under her and send her sprawling down onto the canvas. But as Anubis made her move, Leah made hers, and the jackal-eared Goddess's kick whiffed through nothing but air. The Love Bunny hopped and draped a leg around Anubis's head. The Goddess grunted as the girl's soft tushie was pressed right up next to the side of her face. While Leah was not particularly heavy, she had momentum and gravity aiding her. Anubis felt Leah's leg dragging on her head, and she was pulled down, smacking face first into the canvas, the material seemingly scratching at her face and making the jackal-eared Goddess yelp in shock and pain as she took a tumble down onto the canvas.

Back in the Goddesses' corner, Bastet did not like what she was seeing. She jumped onto the lower rope and pounded on the turnbuckle. "Come on, Big Sister!"
