Abbey Abraxas Vs. Nathan Weed

Even though Abbey's hip crashed into Nathan, it didn't quite have the desired effect she was looking for. All she did was shove him instead of put him back down to the mat and she paid for her poor choice in moves with a hard punch to her stomach, which doubled her over and left her sputtering for a moment.

Wrestle? Nathan could wrestle.

...Not very much, sure, and the holds he did know were the basic ones. But pro-wrestling offered a great diversity of attacks, even some that could marry the immobilization of grappling to his expertise in strikes.  

And, frankly, the human body operates optimally in, if not strict, then certainly narrow parameters.  Bend a wrist back, and it’ll hurt. Twist an ankle, and it’ll hurt. Hit a face with a brick, and what do you know, pain again. It’s a marvel of evolutionary engineering, but it can't escape basic mechanical principles. Nathan may not have known very much about wrestling, but if Nathan took a body part and made it move or sit in a way it was not meant to move or sit, he was going to make progress toward a win.

So, when Nathan took Abbey’s head and yanked it until she was bent over backwards, then brought his right arm down in a heavy club across her collarbone, he wasn’t sure if the move had a name or not.  But he was reasonably confident that it would hurt.

Abbey yelped when Nathan yanked on her hair and pulled her back over, leaving her precariously balanced with her arms flailing a bit, only to go crashing down to the mat on her butt when Nathan's forearm smashed into her chest. "Guuuh!"

She put one hand on her collar and began to rub it, while the other pushed up and tried to grip Nathan's wrist to give her some stability. She knew this was a pretty bad spot and at the moment, she really didn't have the ability to maneuver out of it. Worse yet, Nathan was able to shut her up pretty good!

It turned out that Abbey had a bit of a one-track mind. Even after he hammered his forearm just below her neck, even after she crashed back into the mat, Abbey, while clearly still feeling the effects of the blow, still somehow pulled herself up to a sitting position and snatched at his wrists. Nathan was half-convinced that, if he knocked her out tonight, she’d stay awake just long enough to attach herself to his hands and forearms before falling unconscious. But fine. Nathan would let Abbey have his wrist, so long as her fingers stayed away from his torso.

Once Abbey latched on, Nathan moved swiftly behind her, reaching for her free hand as he did so. Then he knelt down, turned his captive hand to grab her wrist, too, then yanked both of her arms back, drilling her spine into his waiting knee.

"Guaaahhh!"

Abbey's eyes widened as Nathan's knee jammed into her spine. She squirmed and gnashed her teeth, but the spot was good and the pain was quite harsh. She began to pant softly, wincing from all the pain as she spread her legs and tried to work a way out from the position Nathan had her in.

"If I didn't know any better, I would have thought you were one of those pervs that hang around here..." Abbey said. The first step in getting a better position, or getting out of the one she was in, was getting her voice back. She knew that much, at least.

Next, she pushed up with her feet planted and tried to roll herself into a squatting position, leaning against Nathan's knee, trying to put a little less pressure on her spine. She then tilted her head back and nestled it into Nathan's neck. her sweat soaked hair matted against his chest and she smiled weakly from the position.

Abbey would then attempt to try and pull her arms forward, seeing if she didn't have the strength to try and power out of Nathan's grip. "\

“I could say the same to you,” Nathan grunted. One of them had run their fingers all up and down the other’s chest, and it sure wasn’t Nathan.

Abbey struggled for better positioning, and soon Nathan found her face looking up at him from on his shoulder, as though they were snuggled up together on a couch ignoring a bad movie. Smiling. “Uh…” Nathan pulled back a little harder on her arms. And good thing, too, because Abbey immediately tensed her back and yanked her arms forward in a sudden escape attempt.

Abbey was no stranger to the fly, it seemed, and Nathan was having trouble keeping the hold, even with his superior positioning. So Nathan let go of Abbey’s wrists. It wasn’t too big a loss- the hold really wasn’t worth the energy he’d have to expend to keep it. Besides, with Abbey’s feet now under her in the way that they were, Nathan would have very little trouble in turning his body 90 degrees, taking hold of Abbey’s chin, then jerking it back until he had her back pushed down against his knee again in a quick backbreaker submission.

"Nuh-uh..." Abbey quipped quickly as the two struggled. She felt him resist her attempts to power out and then quickly felt him shift and bend her over his knee. "Shenanigans!" She growled as her back was placed on his knee in a different, but no less painful way.

She knew what was coming next and before Natahan could pin down her legs, she threw them both upwards, aiming her knees (at least one of them) at his face. Even if she didn't connect, she figured that she could topple off his knee or at least put him off balance.

"Yuh-huh." Nathan said, despite himself, and with half a grin on his face. He had to fight back a sudden urge to dig a stiff finger between Abbey's lower ribs. It wasn't just Nathan that suffered from a tickly body; all the Weed kids did, and Abbey suddenly seemed like she would react much in the way that either of his sisters would.

But the impulse and the resemblance disappeared once their struggles continued. Nathan actually succeeded in pulling Abbey over his leg, and wasted no time in pushing her chin and thigh down against his knee. Unfortunately, Abbey seemed like she knew what Nathan was up to, and kicked both legs up to stop his assault. It was a wild, ill-advised escape attempt- without her feet on the ground, her entire weight bore down on his knee at a single point in her spine- but it worked. Clumsy though the attack was, a knee clocked him right in the face and sent Nathan tumbling sideways into the floor, and Abbey down onto the mat.

Abbey flipped and landed, more or less, on her hands and knees, near Nathan. Her spine really ached, but her position was too good and she reached out to grab for one of Nathan's legs to reel it in. She wasn't going to go for a leg lock though as she pressed her hand against the small of his back and inched up him until she could drop her butt down on the boy.

She wanted to work some of the upper body and maybe pay Nathan back a bit. Besides, having a good sit would feel good on her back, and bad on Nathan's. IF she could get into position, she would try snaking her hands around Nathan's head and lock them underneath Nathan's chin, looking for a camel clutch.

The kick to his face wasn't particularly painful, but it was certainly unexpected, considering the position that they'd been in. It took Nathan an entire second to piece together what had happened and to get himself moving again. To the ropes, to the ropes...

Unfortunately, Abbey was slightly more prepared to move after her escape. As Nathan started pushing himself toward the ropes, he felt a hand- those grabby little hands- grasp an ankle, and his journey to the ropes was put on an indefinite pause. Instead, he felt himself losing progress; Abbey hauled him back toward her, and he knew nothing good could come of it.

Sure enough, what had to be a butt plopped squarely down onto his lower back. Before he could even yelp in surprise, he felt wily little digits make their way down along his face. Nathan didn't know many moves, but he knew a camel clutch when it was moments away from folding him in half backwards.

Nathan didn't have many options here; his hands intercepted Abbey's at his cheeks, holding fast to her wrists and pulling down before her fingers could weave themselves together underneath his chin. Meanwhile, his legs started a desperate push forward; the closer he could get to the ropes, the better.
