Audience Reception | While Mariko is an arrogant, smack-talking, bullying loudmouth, she's also an entertaining one. She's not out to so much humiliate and demean her opponent as she is to showoff and play to the crowd while humiliating and demeaning her opponent. From a spectator's view Mariko is more a showman than anything, and one that just so happens to try and get the crowd involves as she does the things she does.

Fighting Style | While a tad limited, Mari's main plan of attack is using her Tae Kwon Do experience to completely shut down her opponent with her hard-hitting kicks. While she studied this art more as a hobby and for exercise than proper combat it has given Mari a high flexibility and many a handbook's worth of kicking techniques. Mari's legs are dangerous weapons, and with her high flexibility most leg-focused submissions do minimal damage to her, making it easy to endure a few holds. And once her opponent has been tenderized enough Mari can finish them off with a basic submission or a truly flashy knockout kick before going for the pin.
Preferred Matches | Standard, but willing to try anything

Notes From the Writer: Mariko... Mariko is probably best suited for standard matches, but she's good for just about anything. A loud and obnoxious woman that actually has a bit of bark to her bite, if not for her rookie status anyway.

IRON ATTACK!: A flashy snap-back kick against a stunned opponent. Marina has her back turned from the opponent and sends a heavy kick to her opponent's face from behind.

Finishing Move(s)

GET IN THE RING!: When the opponent is stunned, Marina will drag them to a corner of the ring, slamming them into it. Before they have time to recover she'll begin giving a series of flashy kicks, treating them as a kicking bag until they are knocked out or verbally surrender. Once they surrender or knocked out Marina gives one final dropkick as a way of rubbing in her victory.

Personality | Arrogant. Marina's personality honestly starts and stops with that one word. An arrogant, flashy woman that loves to show off and impress at every chance. She loves being the center of attention, whether it be during a match, a gaming session, or among friends. And despite this showy display leading people to think she's a ditz or airhead she holds an intellectual mind behind her flashy disposition and uses her charisma and charm to get her way and manipulate things to her advantage. Often for the greater good, but... just as often for her own personal gain.

Though, as Mariko she takes her showy personality and gives it a bit more of a showman flare, playing to the crowd, taunting and teasing her opponents, try to get in their heads and mess with them as she humiliates and teases them to the crowds praises. And even if her words can't often back up her bite she can give one hell of an appearance when she has even a bit of momentum going her way.
Bio | It's a bit of an oddity how this American gamer girl got into wrestling. The daughter and semi-assistant to her father, Marina helps run an American branch to a popular Japanese gaming company. And while she herself is more a player than a development, her and her father take many trips to Japan to catch up with their parent company and help keep relationships on a good level. And during one of these trips to Japan was when Marina discovered the AFW. She wasn't really hook at first, but she liked the all the cool wrestlers, cute outfits, and wacky matches. All the flash looked very appealing. And being the spoiled and cocky princess she was, Marina believed she could beat a few of the wrestlers given her martial arts training in the past. Training that she mostly did for fun and exercise, but she had had been in tournaments and won a few in the past. And given what she saw, she didn't believe it'd be too hard to beat a some of the wrestlers in the league. So out of curiosity and to test her luck she went to a gym and sparred with a few of them.

And she got utterly destroyed.

Marina’s first opponent was smaller and lighter than her, and she got tossed and slammed around like a ragdoll. Her second opponent was around her height and weight and she lost just as badly, if not worse. She would had faced a third opponent, but she was already worn out by then. It was humiliating, it was heartbreaking to her as a former fighter, but it also sparked something. Marina was no pro fighter, but she had trained to defend herself and did well in tournaments in the past. Losing so easily made her want to get involved in the AFW and see how far she could get in the industry. Hell, if former idols, models, and high school seniors could throw down and still make a successful career out of it, why couldn’t she?

She talked to her father about, but he wouldn't allow it at first due to the AFW being involved in sexual matches and it ran the chance of ruining his reputation if his daughter got involved. So Marina met him halfway and promised disguised herself during official matches and blocking off most of her personal information. After some thought and debate, her father finally broke down and let her do as she pleased. Taking the name “Mariko Haru” to hide her identity, she decided to officially join the AFW and make a name for herself.
