Re: Topic: Wrestling?
Not everyone who people think is an asshole is a total scumbag and not everyone who is a decent person never does a bad thing in their life.
Personal life is irrelevant in the discussion anyway.
whatever the reason may be, I don't think ziggler has what it takes to carry the company. His pop is smark PoP, it's not sustainable like Cena's is.
It's not sustainable like Seth Rollins is. How about that?

No. My argument is that it is not necessary to grant 500 make a wishs, dress either like a suit or a 12 year old rapper wannabe in private, appear on the cover of froot loops, wrestle with an arm that has a small melon where the elbow joint should be or dominate RAW instead of trying to save his marriage to be a respectable multiple time WWE champion. And yes, I am probably biased in this because I found Cena´s death grip around RAW unbearable as long as it lasted, but the point still stands.
I already agreed that Zigglers ship has sailed, and probably would have never sailed in the WWE champion direction. He was a reasonably believable WHC though, too bad that both of his reigns were so short lived.
I am pleasantly surprised by Sheamus. Although I thought he looked really stupid at first sight, I like his fighting heel character who arrogantly bathes in the boos of the people. Could be a nice reign.

Yeah, I loved it even when it debuted. Looks like a Warhammer Dwarf Slayer.

This world fears him. He has seen its true face.
The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!' And He'll look down, and whisper:
"FELLA!"

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
Yeah? Well Chavo Guerrero is not main event material.
Lucha Underground loses points for pushing him as one, especially after that match with Prince Puma last wednesday. Way too much interference.

Lol, hate and disgust follow Chavo Guerrero whenever and wherever he is pushed in striking distance to any belt or even worse, holds a belt.

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
I don't mean to be too hard on Chavo. He seems to try at least and I'm sure this has been something he's thought about himself over the years.
Dude's a member of the Guerrero family, one of the most famous wrestling families out there, perhaps only behind The Harts. His uncle was beloved and considered one of the best of his generation.
While nepotism itself isn't the case, the odds that his family name didn't open doors for him and get him a push here and there is rather unlikely.
It also doesn't help that unlike Eddie, who was a great wrestler and had charisma for days, Chavo is merely passable in the ring, decent at best, and has the personality of dry toast.
He was at his best as a tag team wrestler, with somebody who was actually charismatic and had personality (hence why his team with the terrible Hernandez was terrible in TNA)
When he goes Solo though, its just boring, and his limited solo success shows it. Yeah, he won like 5 crusierweight belts, but how much of that was his own deserved success, WWE's over reliance on him and Rey Mysterio as Crusierweight Champions and his last name's influence will always be up for debate. I mean hell, his ECW title run was so unremarkable that the only reason its remembered was for his 8 second loss to Kane at Wrestlemania 24, and all he did after that was job to everybody or be Edge's and Vickie's bitch.
Or hell there's an example right there. Vickie worked hard and got HUGE heat, and had more personality than Chavo ever has had, and she's not even a wrestler!
Honestly, while the guy is decent enough in the ring (and has had great matches with the right opponents) I do think he makes no effort to actually improve himself or give his best effort or actually earn and deserve a main event push and he has just coasted off the Guerrero name since even before Eddie passed.
(For example, have you SEEN his WCW matches? No way in hell they hired him for his talent, that was either a Guerrero thing or Eddie pulled strings.)

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
I am also beginning to jump on the Owens train. Pretty good in the ring for a guy with a beer gut, but his main selling point is his aura, promos and charisma.
I think a good example of Owen's talent was on NXT last week. Guy's talking with Hideo and he gets a little tongue tied, stumbles over the word 'delusional'.
Not a big deal, it happens. He could've just moved on, pretended like it didn't happen. But instead, he usued it as a way to make even more fun of Hideo and look like more of a dick. It was awesome.
I love Kevin. I love the way he moves, I love the way he talks. I don't know as much about the busines as a lot of you guys, but I just look at this guy and I feel like he's just got...it. I'm so hype for his match with Balor tomorrow.
