Abbey Abraxas vs. "Gnarly" Charlie Haines

Great.... now she was talking down to him like she was his mother....

The worst part was Charlie couldn't really say much of anything. Abbey had kicked his ass so far. He felt a sharp pain in his right knee. "Aahhhhhhh!" Charlie yelled out as Abbey also dropped down, preventing him from crawling anywhere.

This was really bad.. Charlie had to do something. Abbey had a firm hold of one leg, but Charlie still had the other free. He tried to twist slightly, lining up his left leg in position for a hard donkey kick to Abbey! If it didn't totally free him, he hoped it would at least do enough to make her loosen the hold so he could continue his trek towards the ropes...

Abbey was trying to wreck Charlie's knee and keep him from crawling to the ropes. She felt like she was doing a pretty good job until she felt him rear back his free leg and drive it hard into her side.

"Ugghnn!"

Her eyes widened and she clutched her stomach and rolled away from Charlie, trying to create some separation while she ended up on her hands and knees, rubbing her side and wincing. That one didn't feel too good at all.

Charlie was finally free to move again! He got to his feet, although his right knee was stil hurting.

Charlie saw Abbey roll away and work her way up to her hands and knees. Charlie ran forward, albeit slightly hobbled as he tried to drill Abbey with a dropkick as soon as she got up! Charlie knew it would take a lot to keep Abbey down, but he viewed this as a good first step! Besides.... if he didn't take the fight to her she may have kept running her mouth like she was scolding a kid.

Abbey was down but not out. She began to rise, watching Charlie come at her, but she couldn't move out of the way of the dropkick and it hit her square in the stomach once more. His feet planted into her and she was forced off her feet, once again crashing to the ground.

"G-dammit!"

Abbey rolled onto her hands and knees and began to inch towards the ropes with her butt facing Charlie. He was making it harder for her to stand up and kick his ass!

"Sorry Abbey, I can't go making it easy for ya now...." Charlie said as he connected with the dropkick. "I have to do what I can just to keep up with ya!"

Watching Abbey crawl on her hands and knees did make Charlie feel a bit guilty, but Abbey was tough. Her painful suplex earlier couodn't have been pulled off by an amateur. She wasn't at the ropes just yet, so Charlie pounced while he still had the chance!

Charlie moved behind Abbey, grabbing onto one of her feet and kneeling, trying to secure a solid ankle lock!

Abbey shook her head and smiled. "I'm not looking for easy." She said, mostly to herself as she turned and looked at Charlie, only to see him grabbing her ankle. "Crap!"

Charlie pulled and twisted and Abbey clawed at the ground as pain seared through her ankle. "shitshitshit!" She growled and slammed her fist. Still, it WAS in her wheel house a bit and she folded her body underneath itself a bit to get a better look at Charlie and pulled her free foot inward.

"You know... there's one thing about a single leg. I hope you didn't already forget!" She said and lashed out her free leg at Charlie's knee.

Charlie had gained a bit of momentum, only to have it taken away! Abbey indeed showed him the error of his ways, as a good submission on a single leg indeed left the other leg free for a counter-attack.

Charlie howled in pain as Abbey's strong legs hammered into his right knee! He let go of the hold and grabbed his knee as he rolled away towards the center of the ring. He hobbled up to his feet as quickly as he could, more worried about testing his knee than mounting some offense.

He figured that anyone who knew about his accident last February would target his knee. Then, there were some who didn't know about the reconstructive surgery but caught him in a nasty hold like Ryan Knight did. Abbey seemed to have a mental bullseye on the knee, so Charlie knew he had to try to guard it from here on out....

Abbey scrambled away when she was released. She hopped up, hopped on one leg a few steps and tested her ankle. It hurt but she would get back to work. She turned and spun back around, looking at Charlie who seemed to be having trouble. She'd worked his knee a little bit but not so much that he should be having difficulty walking. Abbey raised her eyebrow.

"You ok, there, chief?" She asked as she lunged forward and tried to lock up with Charlie in a classic collar-elbow.

Charlie accepted the lock-up although he knew out-muscling Abbey was not an option for him.

"Of course! Why wouldn't I be?" Charlie said, curious about Abbey's line of questioning. She must have seen his little hobble. Right now he was still mobile, but there was a bit of soreness still lingering in that knee.

Charlie tried his best to shift around and grab one of Abbey's arms, twisting it around and trying to get behind her. Sure, a hammerlock wasn't anything special but it just might give Charlie a moment to think of something better... or it could backfire of course.

"Gaaaah! Dammit!"

Abbey was pulled into the hammerlock and danced on her tippy toes while she felt her arm burn. She patted he arm, her chest sticking out a bit while she danced around and figured out a way to try and get out of it.

"Because you're gimpy, dammit!" She finally got around to answering his question.

She she stood up and swung her body around, trying to twist their arms and reverse the hold to put him in the hammerlock.
