Silver Ace vs Valley Doll - Under Pressure
Silver Ace
VS
Valley Doll
Match Type: Total Victory
Victory Conditions: Best two of three falls. The first fall must be scored by a pinfall, the second must be a submission, and the final - if it comes to that - must be a knockout.
***
Valley Doll had been wrestling for ten years, coming on eleven soon. Maybe she hadn't been the most famous wrestler, and maybe she hadn't been the star of the Slamazons, but she loved what she did. She treasured her job. She knew this was what she wanted to do with the rest of her life, and there wasn't a doubt in her mind.
Not until recently, anyway. She hadn't just lost the last three matches she had, she'd been annihilated. Embarrassed. Demolished. Broken time and time again, made the laughingstock of the AFW. Ever since Ace left her and she tried things on her own, everything had just been...off. And things weren't coming back on. Whatever switch in her needed turning, the stupid thing just wasn't coming back. She needed a hard jolt, and if fighting Ace - no, defeating Ace wouldn't make that happen, nothing would. As Valley stood behind the curtain, waiting for her music to start, she knew that this was going to be the most important match of her time in the AFW. Maybe her entire career.
Separate Ways started up and Valley came out with a confident stride to match. No dancing this time. No smile. Just a focused look in her eyes, and a new outfit to go along with it.
- Spoiler:
She had to call an old friend of the family to get it done, but after an apology for letting the last suit she had get destroyed and a hefty sum sent overseas, Valley was ready with a fresh, new look. A mix of her mother's old getup and something a little new to go along with. Boots with pads to give her shins a little extra protection, showing off her midriff, but still tight and functional in all the right places. Even through the audience's usual jeering, she heard a few calls of approval, so she knew someone out there liked the look. She was willing to bet Haley would, too, which certainly wouldn't hurt her chances.
She rolled in under the ropes and made her way to the farthest corner. Valley faced the turnbuckle and grabbed the top ropes, pulling away on them and getting in some last minute stretching. She'd need it. She had watched Haley matches since they split. Each of them. Dozens of times over. She had them down to science and she knew her ex-lover wasn't kidding. She was better than she'd ever been. The Entropy Title hadn't been lost in a fluke. Silver Ace was not going to go down easily.
But she was going to go down.
"I can do this." She leaned against the turnbuckle and stared straight down, still facing away from the entrance. "I can. I can."

Re: Silver Ace vs Valley Doll - Under Pressure
Ace paced back and forth backstage, throwing punches in an empty hallway. She had chosen to change away from the common locker room area, wanting to avoid Valley entirely until they were in the ring together, in what was bound to be the toughest fight of Ace's career so far.
Things hadn't started off great for Ace in AFW, but there was a notable shift at one point. Before she met Valley, she had fought valiantly against Iron Maiden, knocked Taylor Parker out in the middle of the ring, and given Akashi a fight. Then she met Valley, and found herself getting injured, getting double teamed, being humiliated on a pay per view stage, before they split. Once they split however, Ace's luck had drastically improved, fighting harder, feeling stronger, and performing better than before. Ultimately, it paid off with her becoming the Entropy Champion, still in her rookie year no less.
Now Valley was back, and wanted to take that away from her. Even without the belt being on the line, she wanted to take all that Ace had worked for this past year away from her, just to suit herself.
Five years....Five years she had been doing this. Sure, Val had been around twice as long, but she started as an adult and came in as a legacy. Ace though, Ace had started when she was just a kid. She left school, to do this. She left home, to do this. Her family, her friends...she had given up her life, at a young age, to do this job. Money or no money, nobody could say that Ace hadn't worked her ass off to get where she was, fighting every step of the way.
Now Valley wanted to take that from her. Ace wasn't going to let her.
Her new theme, Edge of The Moment began to play over the speakers, Ace's slowly building fan base cheering as she came out, debuting a new look of her own, adding gloves and pads to her attire, and, looking for a more professional look, switched the mini dress for a long sleeved shirt, similar in design to her classic look, with long black tights to go with it and white boots to match.
Around her waist was her Entropy Title, the bright lights making it shine as she went down the ramp and rolled into the ring, raising one gloved fist into the air to rally her fans before lowering it, taking her belt off, and handing it to the referee. Ace stretched one last time, then leaned back in her corner, staring intently over at Valley. No friendly chat, like last time. No teasing, not dialogue.
Valley had been tough to beat last time, and even though Ace had gotten better, she wasn't going to underestimate her opponent. She was going to have to put aside their previous relationship, put aside their breakup, as well as the lingering attraction Ace realized she had when they last saw each other, something that wasn't helped by the rather....alluring, yet, professional, outfit Valley was wrestling in.
Smacking herself, hard, Ace got her head into the game. She had one goal here. Take Valley out, ending her and her beloved Slamazon's in the process. The company had folded, Valley's title meant nothing. It was time to put the old guard to bed, and let the new one take its place, and Ace was just the one for the job.

Re: Silver Ace vs Valley Doll - Under Pressure
Valley expected something from Ace when she entered the ring. Maybe a few teasing words about their new outfits, or a quip about the songs they'd switched to. Maybe flaunting her shiny new belt a bit, holding it up and teasing her with it. Something. But instead, she got silence. Cold, hard, unfeeling silence. It was amazing the difference a few months made.
Valley didn't let it bother her as she turned around and saw Ace's new look up close. She liked it. More streamlined than before, hugging her lithe form tight, showing off her amazing body without giving away much skin. She looked incredible, sexy as always, yet remarkably cute. Noting that wasn't going to make a difference in the fight, but Valley did note it.
The bell rang. The crowd cheered. The match started. "Showtime." A quick mutter under her breath, and she was off.
Valley decided to start this one slow, if Ace would let her. This was going to be a long, grueling match, and conserving energy was going to be vital. She came out of the corner with her fists up and her feet bouncing, ready for Ace if she tried anything on her way to the middle. The first step was going to be testing. She'd seen the 'new' Silver Ace in action, but nothing beat firsthand experience.
Her hands went up as soon as she reached the middle and she braced her feet, offering up a test of strength to get things going.

Re: Silver Ace vs Valley Doll - Under Pressure
Ace didn't say anything as the bell rang, meeting Valley in the middle of the ring and watching as she raised her arm for a test of strength, slowly starting to raise her own arm in response.
This match was going to be a long and painful affair, no doubt, and Ace was going to have to save energy where she could, for the long haul. First off, this Test of Strength Valley was offering...Ace was clearly hesitant about it. In truth, her grappling, while decent, wasn't great, Ace known more for her striking abilities. Valley though...she had years of grappling experience, and it would take up too much energy struggling in a grapple she was more likely to lose.
Stepping closer, Ace moved her arm closer, appearing like she would accept the test of strength, before she swung her leg out instead, aiming a hard kick towards Valley Dolls side!

Re: Silver Ace vs Valley Doll - Under Pressure
Tie-ups were always tricky, no way of knowing just how someone would react. Valley was sure she could overpower Haley - reasonably sure, anyway. Thanks to the outfit, it was hard to tell if she bulked up any since the last time they were in the ring.
Not that it mattered, because Haley tried to nail her with one of the oldest tricks from the Big Book of Wrestling - the Fake Test of Strength. If Valley hadn't been thinking she might try it, she never would have blocked in time. As it was, she just barely dropped elbow fast enough to keep the kick from doing some early damage to her side, and it stung her arm like bees in her bones.
Valley grunted and staggered to the side, but kept her footing. She decided to try and cut Haley off before she had the chance to follow up, hoping a right cross to the face might kill her momentum in the crib. She wasn't a fistfighter by any definition, but she banking on her lover being thrown off by the switch.

Re: Silver Ace vs Valley Doll - Under Pressure
A punch to the face. As if everything else this woman had done to her this year wasn't enough, she went right out and punched Ace right in the face, making their metaphorical issues now physical.
Taking a half step back, head rocked by the punch, Ace straightened up and quickly stepped in swinging her arm and trying to punch Valley in the face in return. Ace avoided hitting her face as much as she could in their last match, but if that's the game that the blonde wanted to play, then Ace would oblige, strikes being her bread and butter, after all.

Re: Silver Ace vs Valley Doll - Under Pressure
Valley rarely, rarely punched anyone, even for her fiercest fights, but she had to admit, landing a blow on Haley was extremely satisfying. So she shouldn't have been surprised when she got punched right back. She was, for some odd reason, but that was the case.
The blow snapped her head around. Hurt. She forget just how good of a punch Haley had, more than enough power to fill her jaw with pain. She didn't snap back, though - instead she turned with the punch, spinning around, gathering some momentum, and coming at the Great Entropy Champion Silver Ace with a discus clothesline.

Re: Silver Ace vs Valley Doll - Under Pressure
Ace had to admit, she didn't see that one coming.
The spinny clothesline (of doom) knocked her right off her feet and onto her back, though she quickly rolled over to her front and pushed herself back up to her knees, giving her chest a quick pat before smirking up at Valley.
"Alright, first take down goes to you..."
She said, before pressing her hands against the mat and spinning her body around, while kicking her leg out, using her long legs to try and sweep Valley's legs out from under her.
"Second take down to me!"
She yelled, trying to take Valley down. It was petty, but it would be worth it.

Re: Silver Ace vs Valley Doll - Under Pressure
Discus clotheslline. A Slamazon's favorite, from her good old days. Valley would have loved to rub it in a little and revel in the moment, but just because Haley was down didn't mean she wasn't dangerous.
Valley started to reach down, looking to haul the younger wrestler up and hurl her towards the corner for some private time, but more of Haley's improved skills showed up as she swung her leg out with a textbook leg sweep. Fast. Hard. Fluid. It caught Valley on the ankle and dropped her flat on her back, with an annoyed grunt to go along with it.
She shot a glare Haley's way, a quick burst of anger for her little taunt, but she didn't respond with words. Her foot was quite capable of sending a message, too, and she swung it around with a windmill kip up, hoping she could get a quick kick on Haley as she popped back to her feet.

Re: Silver Ace vs Valley Doll - Under Pressure
Ace had managed to get up to her feet first, just barely managing to avoid getting smacked by one of Valley's legs as she swung herself up. Even being older, the woman was still quick, and Ace would have to react fast to keep up.
Taking advantage of the few moments she had, Ace ran towards the ropes, bouncing off them and coming back towards Valley, throwing her arm out to try and smash it against Valley's chest with a hard lariat!
