Eclipsed Moon

Night had taken over the sky as the moon was shining brightly down upon the Earth, stars had occupied many places in the dark sky as the lights in the buildings turned on, it was time for Zera to head back home. She had done her duties for Sindel and was allowed to leave, yet it did not seem she minded at all, heck there wasn't even a decent expression on her face.

Zera was dressed in a long white jacket that went down to the back of her knees, black tribal markings all over the jacket to give it a certain style. Underneath the jacket she wore a white schoolgirl's shirt with a red school tie underneath. she also wore a plain black skirt with two chains on the side of it, matching the black toy teddy bear between the chains that was attached to her skirt. Her legs were protected by long black thigh stockings with white rose patterns on them and white avarage shoes. Her bright red hair seemed like it was glowing thanks to the moon light but it could also be some type of hairspray or glitters, still she was quite a sight to behold.

The girl walked down the street, not staring at the beautiful trees or the lights which were brightening the colors of her clothing and hair. Her piercing blue eyes simply stared out infront of her, nearing a large playground that was used to entertain the kids. Zera still did not look to the side, merely infront of her to watch where she was going.

There was indeed a playground, it was part of a day center close to the AFW complex that had been opened by the same company specifically for the many employees it took to keep the arena running.. If the works had kids they could leave them at the day center while at work. But the building wasn't quite visible behind the trees, all Zera could see was the up coming slide and swings and sandpit shone upon by a rather flickery lamp light.. It looked rather spooky and somewhat sad at night like that deserted and with the poor light on it flicking on and off.

From a distance Zera could have sworn she saw someone there.. Just standing there, doing nothing but standing with her back to her.. The girl was wearing clothing that surely would leave her cold in the night. trousers and perhaps a crop top of some kind, arm warmers and a bow in her hair... And that hair, from a distance it seemed to be white or gray, but more importantly it hand down the figure's back in a pony tail pretty far down.

It must have been just a trick of the eye... In another moment and as she passed the branches of some of the tree's, the figure was no longer there and certainly was never there to begin with. Zera pasted by the night playground without event and was some way past it before she heard the soft chick of chains behind her that was certainly the those that had been on the swings... A melodic taunting voice echoed out to her.

"Cerbera-san..."

If Zera turned, she'd now see someone... it was difficult to tell with the bad lighting, the trees happened to shadow out the moon in that part of the play ground and the light seemed to have dimmed... a girl it was... sitting on one of the swings, her head resting up against the chains as if half sleeping

Zera kept her calm pace forward though her eyes did shift just a little to the side when she thought she saw some kind of figure in the far distant. The Girl moved her view back infront of her, ignoring the shifting colors that seemed to come with the figure before it had dissapeared. She passed the playground without any difficulty, though the sudden voice that came from the abyss of the playground did make her stop her advance from it, the tone and the words entering her ears and mind.

Zera turned to see if it was directed to her, then immidiatly noticing the figure that resembled the first one she saw near the trees, She could tell because of the hairstyle the first and this figure shared, it was not completely shown because the girl was now facing her more with her front other then her back this time but she had seen it clearly at the first encounter. Zera stared at the girl with her piercing blue eyes, which seemed to brighten along with her hair, making no attempt to advance or question the girl's words.

" ....? "

Although it was not easily seen, especially with the light only contrasting her hair and eyes, she was in a faint questionable state, a tiny part inside her mind wondering if it was directed towards her, the wind picking up from the silence that came after the girl's words, making the two pigtails wave to te side but her body nor expression changed from it, she stayed dead silent and unmoving near the other girl.

The girl that sat in the swings blinked after Zera turned to her, them half open eyes glowing red in the night.

"You... You are not her..." the idea that Zera could be mistaken for Cerbera as the girl had said, was pretty far fetched.. Some of their physical appearance did spookily match, but in the dark the first most noticeable thing from behind would have been that vibrant red hair... Cerbera's was jet black and dressed in a different style. Therefore the fact Cerbera was mentioned at all was quite a coincidence all things considered...

"You are not her, but who you seem to be and who you are... are not one and the same... Isn't that right... Zera-san...?" The mystery girl knew her name...

Zera watched her quietly, her eyes staying upon the girl's face while she listened to her words. It seemed the girl thought she was someone else but was mistaken and knowing that, she simply turned around, showing her back to the girl before taking a step forward and away from the girl. Zera was about to walk away untill she heard the rest of the girl's words, her advance coming to a sudden halt and her head lifted up to stare at the Moon.

Zera kept a dull glare at the moon, turning around when she thought the girl was done talking, her eyes slightly widened when the girl knew her name, never having spoke to this girl before. Even though the girl was speaking in riddles, Zera could clearly understand what was being said, her mind being one of her most powerful assests.

Staring straight at her, she slowly lifted her arm up, brushing her index finger over one of her large pigtails, also making sure the girl saw it, not answering with words, though she was giving the girl an answer with her movements.

" ... "

Zera patiently waited for the girl's answer to her own, letting her finger run down to the tip of her pigtails, giving it a gentle push. Her arm dropped back to her side, watching the girl with the same dull expression she had before.

The girl blinked slowly as if tired, a fairly emotionless look on her face as she allowed her head to lean and rest up against the chain of the swing she sat on.

"A Puppet without strings... A puppet of a mime... A mime that echos a silent melody of not so long ago." For a moment the girl was silent and looked thoughtful.

"I am cold... Will you not come play with me?"

Zera was not quite sure what to make out of it, though for some reason she took the girl's invite to play. She took one step forward, then another, and another.. Daring steps out towards the girl untill she stood close infront of her, staring down at her for quite a while before she'd bend down to stare directly at her, as if in a locked trance with the girl's eyes but finally releasing a faint, almost silent whisper.

" Playing with a unknown toy..? "

She'd blink once, continueing her stare at her, her face close to the girl's while she examined her, trying to find out who exactly she was by just staring at her.

She didn't back away like she had done with Cerbera, but then again she didn't need to back away. The lamp just outside the playground had gone out and as she was sitting on the swings that was shadowed from the moon, Zera could see very little of her features in the night, despite being relatively close to her.. Of course the girl did rock backwards and forwards slightly on the swing that didn't allow for her to get focus on much anyway.

Them eyes though, they glowed blood red... But not angry or intimidating eyes. Zera had peered this close and all she could see was a strange sense of sadness in the girl. As if in mourning, for what exactly was unknown.

"Puppets are not toys... They dance to a tune, they walk when you want them to and where you want them too... They look like toys but can not be played with... But you know that all too well, as do I."

Zera slowly lifted back up straight, walking past the girl when the moment was right. She took a seat upon the other seat of the swing, placing her hands upon the chains of the swing and planted her feet upon the soft sand. Instead of swinging and using her weight, she simply sat upon it, unmoving while she kept a close stare at the girl, welll.. Atleast the figure that was moving around.

Zera stared up at the sky, watching the stars glow and the moon aswell, then speaking out once more towards the girl.

" Indeed.. "

For a long moment the two just sat in silence with only the soft clicking of the chain links that connected the swings to keep them company.

"Are you struggling to find you feather" The girl said finally, not looking at Zera but instead keeping her head against the chains. "The one you mime did before... Now she walks a different path. You know of whom I speak..."
