Megumi Momoi
Megumi Momoi
Name: Megumi 'M&M' Momoi
Sex: Female
Age: 33
Eyes: Dark Blue
Hair: Black and some random color at the front (red, green, pink, blue)
Height: 5"11'
Weight: 176 lbs
Nationality: Japanese
Favored Moves: Suplexes, Powerbombs, Muy Thai Style Kicks, Dropkicks
Finishing Move: Thunder Crash (Sit-Out Powerbomb)
Entrance music: Rock You Like A Hurricane
Appearance: At the commentator's desk, Megumi typically wears a business suit of some kind, looking sharp and slick for the audience and prime-time. When she's not at work, she's working out more often than not, so you'll often find her wearing gym attire of some kind, typically track pants and a tight workout bra. No matter what the occasion, though, she always rocks her trademark pink and black hair.
Getting ready for a workout.
Executing her signature move, the Thunder Crash.
Megumi and her tag team partner, She-Nobi, right after winning the All Stars Tag Team Title
Personality: Megumi sort of comes off as a rough personality - she's loud, she's energetic, she's in your face and she won't stop, and that gives people the impression that she's an aggressive person...and she is. She's incredibly aggressive and will never shy away from speaking her mind in any given situation, but that doesn't mean she can't be pleasant. She just has an extreme passion for the sport and doesn't hesitate to show it. Once you get used to her loud style, she can be an easy person to along with, and she's very welcoming.
Megumi is extremely passionate about wrestling and takes her job as a commentator quite seriously, giving any match she's a part of 100%. She had a great knowledge of wrestling and various MMA techniques and keeps up with AFW storylines as best she can, giving the fans solid insight into any match.
Past: Megumi's story is not a complex one - there's no real tragedy in her past, no heart-changing moments, no bitter rivalries that haunt her nightmares. It's just the story of a girl who loved wrestling. Growing up in Osaka, her father used to take her to wrestling matches as a reward for good grades, and she quickly fell in love with the sport - as a child, she loved the gimmicks and the flashy matches, but as she grew older she began to appreciate the techniques and styles. As she grew and started to fill out, the idea struck her to become a wrestler herself, and by the time she graduated high school she was physically ready, having taken and excelled in weight lifting classes as well as joining the wrestling team.
She managed to sign up with the Japan All-Stars, a small wrestling league with a dedicated fanbase that quickly warmed up to her. She was doing well and became a staple of the franchise over a decade. She was content with it - she made enough money to support herself, had plenty of good friends and good matches, even won a few titles. It was a solid life.
It all came to a halt, though, after a botched cage match, where poor maintenance lead to the cage falling apart when she was trying to climb it. She sustained a back injury, and while it wasn't debilitating, she was in no shape to wrestle.
Fortunately, Megumi had a friend in the AFW who made a few calls and convinced her to sign on as a guest commentator for Friction. While she was hesitant at first, she needed the money too badly to refuse. Her first few shows were a little shaky, but she got more and more comfortable as the matches went on, and soon she became a fan favorite. Even after her back injury fully healed up a year later, she stayed on the commentator's desk, and while she's contemplated going back in the ring, she's quite content to be on the sidelines. For now.
